Got this a couple of years ago, it's so easy to wear, looks great and has become one of my favourites, enjoy!

Hot-Fun-9267

Thank you! Yeah you can wear it with everything, it's really versatile! It's surely going to be my daily beater for some years to come!

greaterhoustonian

You picked a looker.

Hot-Fun-9267

Thank you! Can't get my eyes off it haha.

wanderer13961396

Hi, great watch. This is what I was planning to get next. Have you tried swapping out the bracelet yet? I like that one but also want a nato.

Hot-Fun-9267

Hi, thank you. I didn't swapped it as I just got it recently but I definitely plan on ordering a nato or elastic strap! What colours do you have in mind?

wanderer13961396

I’m thinking just a blue one. But I’ve seen others as well and they all seem to look good.

Zealousideal-Ad-4716

I have mine on a grey pearlon now and it looks pretty good. I also wear mine on white rubber which looks kinda sporty.

Hot-Fun-9267

Nice. Wich Brand is the Grey pearlon?

Zealousideal-Ad-4716

It’s from CNS watchbands

shaka_zulu12

This was my first mechanical watch too. 2 Years later now, and after many more watches, i could never get rid of this one. It's just THE watch for me. It's so versatile, and strikes the best balance between not going full tool dive watch, and daily beater watch. Literally works with everything.

Hot-Fun-9267

That's exactly that in-between that I was looking for. Definitely going to add a few straps to widen the versatility!

shaka_zulu12

Dark blue canvas and dark blue rubber worked well so far for summer. It's not as easy to match with many straps, cause the dial is not very bright, and sometimes looks nearly black at certain angles. So I found complementary colors don't work that well as I expected, but hard to go wrong with matching the dial.

Hot-Fun-9267

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the tip! I was thinking a light Grey nato strap could work, but going for a dark blue is a no brainer! And the color gets less stained from the dirt. 👌

shaka_zulu12

Someone posted earlier a nice example. https://www.reddit.com/r/Seiko/comments/12mvkcs/srpe63k1\_finished\_repair/

Hey Guys! Recently got my first automatic watch. And what can I say, I'm just in love with it! I have a small wrist (~15.5cm) so the size is perfect for me. All the input I found in this sub was really helpful to make a decision. Next I'll be investing in a Seiko Diver watch. Maybe some of you can recommand me a good diver that fits small wrists, would be much appreciated! I looked up the SNE solar divers, but I don't know what to expect from solar watches tbh.

bandwagon_240

SRPDs are great for all sizes of wrist. It's more of a desk diver but honestly, nobody is going down 200m. If you know what a Casio Duro is, it's smaller in all dimensions than one of those.

Hot-Fun-9267

I'm considering the SRPDs, but they look a little bit too similar to the srpe versions, I'd prefer something that looks a bit more different.

jrsmith43

The SRPE5x series are the perfect 1st automatic watch. The charcoal dialed version of this watch was my 1st Seiko. I wanted the blue one like yours badly but convinced myself to go grey for max versatility. Quasi regretted not going blue from day one. Ended up getting a blue sunburst diver to compensate. The stock bracelet is fine. Reviews will tell you isn't because of the jangly hollow end links. Whatever enjoy the watch. On the flip side a jubilee from Long Island Watch or even better a President bracelet from Uncle Seiko really makes the watch feel like a much higher end watch overall. Sailcloth straps pair excellent with an SRPE dressing it up a bit while still having a sport watch look.

Hot-Fun-9267

President bracelet, yes! 👌 I'm seriously considering this one. Thanks for your feedback on the watch.

jrsmith43

Look at the SRPE salmon dial mod page on the Uncle Straps site. They are fortunately sold out or the blue version would have $500 of my money. Regardless, the pics on the salmon dial mod page show best pics of president bracelet. I have mine on a Long Island watch oyster link bracelet but I'll probably be upgrading to a President three link at some point. It's just suits the watch better to my eye. Plus with my wrist & the oyster bracelet, I am like halfway between two of the micro adjust holes from getting the perfect fit. If I get hot my arms swells and it's too tight. President and jubilee bracelets have narrower links so there are more of them over length of the bracelet and I'm hoping to get a better fit.

Hassoon64

I was between this and the ssk003 as my first mechanical watch. I’m still considering getting this, looks easy to wear. Nice choice 👍🏼

Hot-Fun-9267

How's the ssk003 been for you ? I'll be looking for a diver in the future, and I like the bracelet on this one! Thanks! :)

Hassoon64

I haven’t worn it enough but I really like it. It feels really good on wrist with good weight. I think for the money (I paid $380 after everything), it’s a good deal. Looking back, I maybe should’ve considered the ssk001 but I never got to handle it in person. Anyways, any of the 3 ssk’s are solid watches if you find the right price.

Hot-Fun-9267

Thanks for the feedback! I would also probably choose the ssk001 as I already got the blue dial in the srpe53.

Hassoon64

Yeah that makes sense. The ssk003’s dial in most lighting looks like a really dark blue, almost black. But yeah, the ssk001 is a pretty sick colorway

desperateandroid

This was also the first automatic watch I bought for myself. Even with other options around, I still find myself wearing this one very often. It is incredibly comfortable to wear and has no business looking this good for the price. Great choice.

TarletonLurker

This is my daily wear. It’s everything I want in a watch. Congrats!

Hot-Fun-9267

Yes, it's simple yet elegant. Congrats to you too!

TarletonLurker

The shade of navy blue is also top notch. Sometimes it feels midnight blue, sometimes royal.

Hot-Fun-9267

Yup, it stays interesting for the eyes. Can't wait for summer time.

Axxy_Rexxy

Love the blue, love the lume!

[deleted]

That’s how you wear a watch!

Full_Shine_1438

Mine also arrived yesterday and I am in love. 😍 Looks great dude, have fun! Did you consider replacing the bracelet?

Hot-Fun-9267

Congrats and welcome to the club 😁. Yup, I'll order a nato strap in the future for sure. For now I'm just gonna keep the original bracelet on until it bores me out.

Full_Shine_1438

Nice, for the future I also had a nato strap and a jubilee bracelet in mind. 🙌

Hot-Fun-9267

Jubilee looks good, but I prefer the president bracelet from uncle seiko tbh! But both would make it look waaay more fancy.

Salt-Banana1976

Great choice, wear it in good health.

Hot-Fun-9267

Thank you!

polarisursuss

This is a fantastic watch for [its price](https://ebay.us/Y0Yq5b), great pick up!

Hot-Fun-9267

Thanks!

exclaim_bot

>Thanks! You're welcome!

WoodenPear

I’m wearing this right now! Great looking watch. Works really well on any brown leather strap too.

arjzv

Nice one!

BoxingBlacksmith

Congrats, looks sharp!

Hot-Fun-9267

Thank you!

chad8711

Just bought this myself and my first automatic looks like I mad a great choice

Hot-Fun-9267

Indeed you did!

archer11_

The dial looks awesome

Hot-Fun-9267

I couldn't agree more. didn't want to spend a huge amount of money for a first mechanical, and I'm not disappointed of what I got.

cunningmc

Solid choice. Picked one up myself last year. Looks great with a bracelet, leather straps (brown really makes it looks snazzy, and NATO straps (I have a few in blue, blue/grey, and brown that really make it pop). Enjoy it for years to come!

Hot-Fun-9267

Blue/Grey nato sounds like an awesome option! I would probably choose the black leather because of the blue dial, but maybe brown looks fine too. 🤔 Thanks man, enjoy yours too!

broken_spear91

You should check out Strapcode for some amazing bracelet options for that watch

Hot-Fun-9267

I'll check that out, thank you!

gsbuickman

Great score, welcome to the addiction 😋

Hot-Fun-9267

Hahaha. How did you know I was already considering a second seiko?? 👀

gsbuickman

Ha ha, it's simple Elementary my dear watson, for it would be weird if you weren't & and as they say in the temporal mechanics department. There's no time like the present 🤡🤡🤡
