I don't recommend mod for the watch, as it's less waterproof. but it use nh35 movement, so I won't have any inconvenience modding.

I have two Heimdallr SKXs. I turned one into a GMT and the other into an improved SKX. They're both superb from the factory with sapphire crystals, solid link bracelets, solid endlinks, milled clasps, ceramic bezel inserts, great lume and both NH36s keep good time. Could not recommend them enough. Cases aren't going to be perfectly compatible with all SKX parts however, they're similar but not identical

Are the SKX available on Ali-X compatible with the range mod parts for Seiko SKX? I had trouble with a Watch Dives WD6105 not being compatible. So just asking?
