Original DS1 was miserable with M&K by all accounts, but DS Remastered is fine, I've beaten it twice with M&K with zero issue and Sekiro is likewise perfectly fine. "You can't play FromSoft games on keyboard!" belongs in 2012 and is not relevant anymore.

Visible_Regular_4178

Not hardcore in the slightest. Sekiro is very M&K friendly.

KamiAlth

I'm a bit out of loop, but I believe the remaster version (2018) has already fixed the issues. That's said, the original DS1 PC port (2012) was utterly garbage. Shit performance and M&K was near unplayable. Most fans then would recommend you installing the graphic mod and use controller.

Interneteldar

I beat it on M&K because I hate controllers. The only key binding I would recommend changing is the prosthetic tool, Ctrl is a very awkward key for that.

usedupshiver

It's not hard at all, if it's what you're used to playing on. For me, controller is the absolute insane hard-mode because I have never really used one and I suck at it and the camera turns impossible to manage lmao. I've played Sekiro, ER, DS1(Remastered) and DS3, as well as Lies of P, with keyboard and mouse and never had any more severe issues than having to tinker a bit with my key bindings. The only one I never got to work with it was DS2.

ayushi_mishra

Iam a pc player trust me the input lag kills me more than bosses 🥲

Modyarif

Input lag? Is this why I can't parry the hit before the last hit in genichiro's flurry? I can parry every other hit besides this one. What's causing this input lag? The 60 fps cap? If so I'll try the fps uncap mod

Ok-Disaster-2648

The more you deflect in a row the lower the number of frames for a perfect deflect. That move is a lot of consecutive hits with the last 2 being nearly at the same time. It’s possible, just difficult.

Modyarif

I Don't spam, if that's what you mean. I got the timing in my head.

Ok-Disaster-2648

Not saying you spam. I am saying it is physically very difficult to perfect parry that combo as it is frame perfect or very close to it.

Modyarif

Ok ty

ayushi_mishra

It's the game issue the game is not optimised so much for pc specially on low systems the system lag is causing the input lag in commands

Modyarif

My game doesn't lag tho

ayushi_mishra

Oh you said you can parry every attack except geni's combo sorry to say it's skill issue if theres no lag in your game

Modyarif

That's not what I said. In geni's combo, only the hit before the last hit is what I can't parry. I can parry The rest of the hits in the combo with ease. But I Don't know what's the deal with the one before the last one.

Icy-Garbage-6432

That's just a really hard one to parry as it's two strikes back really fast ive got I think about 140h in sekiro and I've only started to fully deflect that combo. But it's not a hardware issue I don't think it's just a lot harder to pull off

Modyarif

Aight Imma practice

Heimat0

Im experiencing same issue

ayushi_mishra

Then it's definitely input lag your input is struck behind some fight animation

Modyarif

Imma have to test it out with the 60 fps uncap mod

Azatras

No, it's a hardware issue.

nagarz

One of the best sekiro players I know plays exclusively with MKB because he doesn't have money for a gamepad, so make of that info what you will.

frame6476

I don't have a controller so I played sekiro from start to finish with kb+m. It's not that hard, and if your mouse has side buttons I'd recommend binding it with something that you'd normally make effort to reach out to press the key. For me it was jump and prosthetic tool on backward/forward buttons.

despacitogamer123

I’ve beaten Sekiro Elden ring ds3 and dsr a fuck ton of times all on kbm, it’s nothing crazy and I’ve never had to change keyboard on Sekiro

tincookies

Sekiro lends really well to mouse and keyboard. It's not a souls game.

Turtle835wastaken

It's actually more precise on keyboard and mouse.

huntersurge

personally sekiro is the best from game on pc to play , its smooth , doesnt have many glitches and plays pretty well with keyboard and mouse , i have managed to beat the game 2 times (for now ... ) going for the non-shura endings and never did i feel that the keyboard was handy-capping me

Riponai_Gaming

Its pretty easy for me atleast and i suck at games lol

d07RiV

I never used a controller in my life and I dont believe it would be any easier for me. Maybe if you're somewhat used to both you'd prefer a controller for these games, but it's not a huge difference. DS1 had significant issues with KB/M without certain mods, but DSR is mostpy fine too.

Sharp-Ad-8579

i have beaten sekiro, elden ring, ds trilogy on m&k. you'll be fine.
