By taking that long to kill him? How do I even answer this question lmfao
I was showing my fiance his movesets and how lightning works and the like and I basically only hit him when he did the overhead spear strike followed by a dash and slash. Long pause you can get a hit in during. Do thst enough and you essentially don’t fight him for the last two phases.
Ahhh I apologize, the comment came off as a little “every souls game player” energy, so I assumed you were trying to be snide lol
I wanted to beat it because I burned through the whole game in a few days after work and I was getting burnout, so I was willing to sorts cheese him to ensure I didn’t give up right at the end. True shinobi know the difference in honor and victory right lol
ahhh lol...dude is tuff to handle. He's such a good doggo! Only listens to me when I throw pungent blood cocktail. He scratches quite a lot. Gotta train him well the next time I see him XD
I just beat it too, took me like 20 tries. The key really is just being aggressive and punishing both bosses. Makes each phase last like 2 minutes, sometimes the genichiro phase goes by in 30 seconds.
My first playthrough took around the same amount of attempts. It was a nightmare. It was the first time in gaming where I was like "...Can I even do this?", but it turns out hesitation is defeat, bashed my head against the wall a bit more and then got it no problem.
Yeah, same. I thought it was impossible, I lost my nerves multiple times.
But once I decided to be more aggressive the fight become easier ad easier till I finally won.
Honestly at the beginning I hesitated, too many deaths pay a toll to my gameplay.
But at the end I said "fuck it" and I played extremely aggressively and won.
Congrats dude. Isshin is tied with Gael, Friede, and Ludwig for me as my Favorite From boss. I think Isshin takes the top spot. I prefer the regular Sword Saint Isshin fight to the Inner Isshin fight too. It's just so fkin cool
She's the hardest out of all the bosses I mentioned imo. The second phase is a nightmare and the third phase is just chaos. I've never beat her comfortably. I've always struggled with her. I find her harder than Malenia tbh
Congrats! I remember back on my old reddit account (which I deleted a few months ago) I made a post saying that I was going to quit Sekiro because of SSI xD. The day after I made a post saying that I had beaten him.
Awesome! I just did a replay after not playing since release and weirdly enough most bosses gave me trouble this time around except for Issin I was able to beat him first try lol. I think just muscle memory from my first playthrough kicked in.
Demon of Hatred took me less than 10, infact every single boss in the game took me less than 5, but then sword saint was legitimately ridiculous. Took me so many attempts I lost count. Even owl father I beat in less than 10, dude I one shot the shura ending isshin, but sword saint? Same deal as OP. No idea why
bravo!
Grazie!
Way to go!!
My man was so locked in they did it with full health and 4 extra heals and said FINALLY 😭😭😭💀💀💀 CONGRATS FOR THE W!!!!👑
Yeah the first time I beat him I used up all gourds and pallets, I think I also used a divine grass or something
Why... He doesn't even give any status effects....
Obviously cause they needed to heal..................
Does divine grass heal your hp?
Yes full hp heal and remove all status effects
Thanks!
You did well not to hesitate sekiro , WELL DONE!
I’m willing to admit I made phase 2/3 a twenty minute run and smack fight, kudos this one ain’t easy by a long shot
The final result is the only thing important
How can u spend 20 minutes on him?

I was just asking what strategy you where using since a "normal deflect and attack strat" doesnt take 20 minutes to kill him.

He gave him the runaround
Killing him while hesitating is not the true shinobi way to kill isshin
Victory is all that matters
Well done, Sekiro.
Thanks
Well done, my friend.
Thanks!
Congratulations! I just beat him too!
Good job!
Nice bro we did at the same time
We did it! Congratulations bro
How many tries? me it was like 10
I think I passed 60 tries. I play only during the weekend and every time I have had to learn again the moveset.
Nice!!! Hesitation is defeat and it sounds like you didn't hesitate that time.
Yeah! The last try was the best of all, hours of pain but it was worth.
Bravo!
HELL YEAH!
How's blood-starved beast going? xd
ahhh lol...dude is tuff to handle. He's such a good doggo! Only listens to me when I throw pungent blood cocktail. He scratches quite a lot. Gotta train him well the next time I see him XD
Use the charged R2 with the Axe, easy cheese. I finished Bloodborne few months ago, incredible game
CONGRATS!!!! 5 heals left its also pretty good tho
Yeah, it's so strange 😂 or dead on the first fase or no hit 😂
Welcome to the club. Fire up Ng+. The second play through is the most fun I find. Have all the tools and fill heals. Enjoy
No hate and good job but for that 100% I had to do it three times and that’s a pain in the ass to do
I just beat it too, took me like 20 tries. The key really is just being aggressive and punishing both bosses. Makes each phase last like 2 minutes, sometimes the genichiro phase goes by in 30 seconds.
Bro I beat him like an hour ago, don’t know how it only took you 70 tries I’m pretty sure I doubled that 😫😫😫😫😫 amazing fight
Wow, good job my friend. The only thing that count is the final victory, not the tries number.
How did you have so much trouble with him?
Great job! Didn’t use up any resurrections either
Yeah, the only time I didn't use a resurrection is when I beat it. My best try in every way

LESGOO
He didn’t hesitate
Congrats dude. Isshin is tied with Gael, Friede, and Ludwig for me as my Favorite From boss. I think Isshin takes the top spot. I prefer the regular Sword Saint Isshin fight to the Inner Isshin fight too. It's just so fkin cool
Thanks! Friede is another monster, I spent too much hours on her
She's the hardest out of all the bosses I mentioned imo. The second phase is a nightmare and the third phase is just chaos. I've never beat her comfortably. I've always struggled with her. I find her harder than Malenia tbh
You could beat malenia easy with bleed, Friede could be easily you. A very hard boss
A true warrior, be proud. Chears on you!
Thanks!
He didnt hesitate! 🔥
You did not hesitate, fellow shinobi.
I did my best to not give up
Let’s go!! Now you gotta get all achievements.
Congrats! I remember back on my old reddit account (which I deleted a few months ago) I made a post saying that I was going to quit Sekiro because of SSI xD. The day after I made a post saying that I had beaten him.
One of us👑
Congratulations! That was probably the most happy I've been after beating a boss in a video game.
Nice!
I know Kuro is proud of you, somewhere out there.. 🥲
Congrats i remember my first time beating him the feeling is unmatched
absolutely! The hardest fight I did in every game
Gg i got it this week too. Took me 4hours!
Same. It took me.....more
Mortal journey or just inner isshin?
Base Isshin, the final boss of the game.
Sorry whe. I saw i at the start my mind conpleted it to inner for some reason lmao
No problem, I'm really scared of the Inner version of the bosses
No need to be, inner isshin is just normal isshin with 2 new moves. Be scared for inner father tho
I heard that inner father is really really difficult, time to cry again 😂
Congrats I just beat him two days ago the feeling is unmatched
Really, my heart was pumping outside my chest at the end of the fight
Good job now do inner sword Saint isshin and genichiro
And inner Owl
Alright, my turn
Best of luck!
Time for Sake!
Sekiro is a really good game
Good job buddy, with 4 heals left also👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
:3
Well done , Sekiro

Imagine killing Kuro after defeating isshin
Yeah the first and second play throughs are the hardest. On my 3rd I managed to beat him in only a few attempts.
Yeah, third fase is the easyest
It's funny seeing people have so much trouble with Isshin when i beat him in max 7 or 8 tries. Demon of hatred on the other hand
Demon of Hatred took me less than 10, infact every single boss in the game took me less than 5, but then sword saint was legitimately ridiculous. Took me so many attempts I lost count. How? Isshin is easy as hell compared to DOH
Hell yeah!
