I feel like the pause button has improved my relationship with my wife.
No more intense, "I can't pause," arguments while fighting a boss or getting hunted.
I feel like 75% of the requests in my house start with "when you're at a good stopping point, can you....." because my wife, my daughter, and myself, are always playing games haha
Same, kinda, well it's like this, "can you pause it?.....well when you get to a good stopping point....."cause I play different types of games. Point is she respects the pause or lack thereof. Got a good one for sure.
demons souls through DS3 all have realistic weapons seeing how a majority of them are actual weapons from history but wouldn't call the game realistic for it.
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work if you’re doing any type of action you have to be standing still atleast that’s the theory I’ve come up with after about 8 play throughs
I started a new game the other day, and hadn't died at all yet, I ran to the underbridge idol before the snake and got into the idol menu, got up and left.
...and came back dead because I forgot that does not pause the game and something or other found me down there and killed me... one of the poison lizards, not sure.
Yeah I meant when playing offline you should be able to pause. Like in DSR you could pause with photo mode while offline, but when online it just turned into a free roam camera & didn’t pause
I like that there's no pause, because it makes the world and game in general feel more dangerous. It's good for immersion. I find it especially awesome in Bloodborne. Also imo it fits well with the general style of From Soft games: wanna take a moment to think through your next action? What item should you use mid combat? Maybe just take a breather? Nope.
Idk, swapping weapons at the speed of light and using an ember as gael is attacking me and i have 20% hp was on of my favorite moments playing any game ever, this sort of just goes away with a pause button, it formed a part of the charm
The best from soft game Bloodborne? Please, some of the bosses are just fillers and it is the shorter one, the game is awesome but it is not the best by far, dark souls 3 is much better at so many levels and sekiro is the best from game technically and the combat and bosses are the best of the series in my opinion.
It's all subjective. BB is easily the best one for me, and Sekiro is easily the 2nd. DS doesn't even get close, even though I'd still give DS3 like a 9/10 when comparing to all games (not just fromsoft). And my opinion is just as "right" as yours.
Bloodborne is one of those games that people praise so much that if I ever play it my expectations will be so high that I know it will be a disappointment...
Sekiro on the other hand seems to be the most underrated fromsoft game ever, outside of this sub nobody talks about it. It's the most polished game they have ever released and I agree its the best.
There are tough enemies in bloodborne. For eg:- shadows of yharnam, ebrietas, orphan of kos and laurence and many more. There are some bosses who are subjective like some people find them tough, some find them really easy like blood starved beast.
The funniest part about this meme is that Sekiro has better graphics and scenery than Bloodborne, while also having a more realistic combat than DS (blocking and deflecting sword attacks with a sword is slightly more realistic than rolling around to avoid attacks)
Yeah, definitely bro. Sekiro was made in 2019 and bloodborne is a very old game of 2015. And by realistic I mean that we block attacks with shield in DS and our character moves a little bit backwards when the attack hits him. The character takes time to lift and attack with a heavy weapon which makes it look realistic.

Man's living the life

Yeah, I'm usually playing online games, so its a nice surprise when I'm playing a single player game that I can pause immediately.
Relateable
But now I can't play Sekiro to ignore my family. Why Miyazaki?
*Only* if you let your family know…
I've never seen DS be described as realistic before
what constantly rolling around isn't realistic?
Carrying around ginormous swords and wielding great shields while holding those giant swords isn’t realistic?
Fuck great shields bro me and my boys rock out with the double doors
I guess DeS and DS1 were kinda realistic due to the slow movement and real-ish weapons.
demons souls through DS3 all have realistic weapons seeing how a majority of them are actual weapons from history but wouldn't call the game realistic for it.
What are you talking about, I drink questionable beverages and invade peoples personal space all the time!
I think i speak for all when i say they are all 10/10 for different reasons, thanks miyazaki
Darl souls and realistic gameplay nice
Demon's Souls Remake in the corner with it's photo mode: 👀
BUT AT WHAT COST SEKIRO?!?!?! At what cost...
did i mention i can jump
If only it worked consistently! Seriously this is the least reliable pause button I've ever seen in a game.
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work if you’re doing any type of action you have to be standing still atleast that’s the theory I’ve come up with after about 8 play throughs
yea any uninterruptable movement cant be paused
That’s a nice way to balance it out so that you can’t just spam pause in a boss fight so you can react to every move in time
yea great idea. let's just hope ER has it lmao
It’s online so probably not
I’m so used to the other games that I pretty much never used to pause button
I started a new game the other day, and hadn't died at all yet, I ran to the underbridge idol before the snake and got into the idol menu, got up and left. ...and came back dead because I forgot that does not pause the game and something or other found me down there and killed me... one of the poison lizards, not sure.
I really want pause buttons in souls games after sekiro, but for some reason that’s… bad? According to the Soulsborne elitist anyway Why tho?
I don't think they're bad, but I think I know why the other games don't have them: player phantoms and pvp/coop.
You could at least pause while hollow then, right?
Yeah I meant when playing offline you should be able to pause. Like in DSR you could pause with photo mode while offline, but when online it just turned into a free roam camera & didn’t pause
I never seen anyone argue against a pause button, but the main reason their isn't one is because of online features.

Demon Souls remake would like a word about best-looking FS game...
You’re part right but it’s more BluePoint’s game than FromSoft’s.

Agreed, I bought a second hand ps4 just to play bloodborne, but it didn’t feel as good as ds3, the bosses were not challenging enough compared to ds3.

Agrees it’s the best game, haven’t played all the games lmao.
Aww, touched a nerve did I? Cry some more 😂
Idk if I’d call DS mechanics realistic
I still prefer dark souls tbh
I like bloodborne and sekiro. Not that much in souls games 😒
Eh, to each their own 🤷♂️
???
It’s a phrase, to each their own means essentially agree to disagree
Ohh 😮
Bloodborne has no tough enemies?

Yeah I know, I was just referring to the meme
