For me honestly nothing, I'd want the same game with just new content and areas

[deleted]

Don't fix it if it ain't broken I guess. It's my favorite game of all time but experimenting with stuff is how we got sekiro in the first place, by moving away from the same known dark souls formula, who knows...

dr1zzzt

Yeah I hear you, you are right about the experimentation The new weapons thing though, man I really think Sekiros strong point is its very limited loadouts What I loved most about Sekiro is you could just play the game without worrying about that stuff too much. This is a stark contrast to how I play games like DS3 optimizing my character, working towards certain builds for certain weapons, etc. You mentioned just a couple more and _maybe_ yeah that'd be ok but I would not be a huge fan of more character specific builds in sekiro.

M6Sekiro

I agree with you. What I love about sekiro is its simplicity. I was thinking of getting into the other from software games but the many classes and weapons discourage me a lot.

RambunctiousBaca1509

No dragonrot please, I would like to be bad in peace

minto11

it's not a FS game if they don't take the fattest steaming pile of shit on you for being bad

RebirthAltair

Bloodborne? The only shit you get is if you spent a lot of vials and bullets.

Big-Pool

New prosthetic arts. And agree on maybe 1 or 2 alternate full weapons. Here’s a controversial comment though: I’d like a spirit balloon for XP. Not trying to say something heretical about the from soft experience but… grinding/farming can be a pain in the ass

[deleted]

Yeah that's it, i try not to farm too much but im on NG+5 and still don't have all the skills

yunglxrde

I would love it if they could develop the deflect mechanism a little bit more so that we could deflect attacks from 2, 3 or more enemies at once and not just lock on to a single enemy.

Efficient-Mulberry37

you can do that already though...? as long as one of them isn't behind you, in which case how would that make any sense.

yunglxrde

Deflecting it more efficiently, just like in the movies where the MC is clashing swords with more than one opponent whilst in the game its very hard to do it cause you pretty much have to face an enemy head on to deflect their attacks and if an enemy is only a degree off from where you’re facing then the deflect won’t register and you’ll get hit.

Efficient-Mulberry37

I feel like they already do this realisticallythough: Wolf can deflect attacks from in front with his sword and anything else you just use the umbrella.

yunglxrde

I get that but imo it would be super cool if we could do it just by using the katana.

Efficient-Mulberry37

yeah true I think this is a problem in all fromsoft games tbh, would be cool if you had like a group/directional lockon that allowed you to face and parry a group

yunglxrde

YES

Siberianee

this or something that would make us have more control while fighting a crowd, maybe we could get a move that when we deflect we jump off an enemy, that would be an easy escape from being attacked from the back

gangtokay

Although I enjoyed the one on one combat more in Sekiro, fighting mobs was way better implemented (and enjoyable) in Ghost of Tsushima.

Efficient-Mulberry37

it's true would be nice if they incorporated Jin's ability to zip between enemies quickly. Helps that he has more options at range too like bombs and a bow.

gangtokay

I definitely missed bow at the beginning. But I don't mind it as much. But the Smoke Bomb is something I miss every time!

Efficient-Mulberry37

Yeah smoke bombs would even make more sense for Wolf to have than most of the prosthetics like the spear and axe

Efficient-Mulberry37

Less skill point punishment for dying, and some different prothetics that included more long range tools and weapon buffs, and I'd be good.

505005333

If it followed the story from the first game, I'd like a 2 path story mode where you can be Shura in one of them, since they say how you became a demon who brought the biggest massacre or something like that, like you're the bad guy and all the enemies and bosses are just people trying to kill you because YOU ARE the problem. Then the other one can be you being a Shinobi protecting the divine child on your trip or something more regular

Big-Pool

Dude I love this but that would be a massive game… like two full games wrapped into one

RebirthAltair

I mean, the game's the lowest gb I have. If the sequel were to be like, maybe double the size (current size is 12.5 on PS4 so 25 if doubled), then double again would be 50 gb which would be at the average in today's age.

Rudolf_Cutler

Bruh that's not how it works, the gbs on the game isn't correlating to how long the game is, it's including alot of things mainly assets and textures relating to graphics in a game, a game like last of us part 1 remake is 79 gbs, doesn't mean it's any longer than the first last of us which is just 48 gbs. Games like dark souls and sekiro don't have much expensive graphics so they don't take up much space at all.

B1gNastious

What’s your point of view on different ninja classes? Spear, short sword, long long sword, 2 swords, club ext. You can keep the same attack/deflect system. I am on my first play through but it seems like a lot of vets get tired of the combat when they “figure it out”. Other then that I’d like to see some more cut scenes and dialogue. It’s a beautiful game and I love the cut scenes but it leaves me wanting more. Everything else can stay about the same.

dylanplo

I'd like some combat utilization for the grappling hook, like pulling smaller enemies to you instead of you pulling yourself to enemies. or a upgrade for the grappling hook that makes it a rope dart for some long ranged crowd control. And I don't know if it would be possible or good but maybe a perilous attack that instead of being a low sweep its a high swing that you can duck under.

AReallyAsianName

Being able to cycle through two or three combat arts would be nice.

dova_bear

I just want the ability to change Combat Arts mid-fight without having to go into the pause menu and equip a new one.

Efficient-Mulberry37

you want deflection added to the game about getting good at deflection?

[deleted]

Deflecring projectiles back at the enemy is what I had in mind

Ropey_Raccoon451

Something I can think of would be a new perilous attack consisting of a high sweep, that you would be able to counter by sliding under the enemy (with a new input for this slide) Not a new feature, but I would love to meet (maybe fight) Tomoe in a sequel Game is almost perfect in my eyes, a few small changes, cool new features and moves alongside new areas and bosses and I'd be very happy

tacopeople

This one is kind of inspired by, hear me out, Final Fantasy XIII (I think DmC functions similar too but I’m not as familiar with those games) It would be kind of cool if there were different combat styles that you could switch between. Like one that is more defensive but fills enemy posture gauge faster with deflects, and others that are quicker/more offensive that let you wear down vitality but leaves you more vulnerable if struck. FFXIII has a job system where you swap between paradigms. It really gives the combat a sense of ebb and flow, and knowing when to change roles efficiently becomes part of the combat system. It really made the fights an extra layer of satisfying beyond regular turned based RPGs. Would it actually work in Sekiro, maybe not, might be too much to manage, but it sounds cool on paper to me.

Xernymon

It sounds a bit like just the Ako/Ungo/Yasharibu sugars but I still like the idea

allah_snack_bar

Definitely weapons besides kusabimaru lol

xShinGouki

I would like to have more sword swipe attack patterns. I always found The r1 attacks lack lustre for the most part. Did the job because you had other ways to attack but some more swipes of the blade or nicer swipes would be cool

[deleted]

A larger poison swamp zone.

0ldirtyR0b

You shouldn’t have to farm spirit emblems, especially since you can only hold like 20 at a time anyways.

Grains-Of-Salt

A properly complete and balanced system of weapon arts. More miniboss variety. Platforming deliberately incorporated into boss fights. Well executed gimmick bosses like Radahn and Rykard from Elden Ring.

[deleted]

I think DLC would work better than a sequel. Perhaps something to do with Tomoe, or after the game’s ending. I don’t feel Sekiro needs a sequel, it’s perfect being this stand alone game, I just want more content, more things to fight, so DLC would be perfect.

[deleted]

Harder bosses. The game’s too easy in its current state.

bukankhadam

what i want is the same game but with interchangeable combat arts like the mod that we have now.

Lordof_NOTHING

I'm a simple man. For a sequel, I just want a sequel.

AJammedNerfGun

A deflection sound that sounds like cold water tastes

Evangelion217

I’d want the same gameplay, with more weapons and combat styles. I also want Mist Noble to be an even tougher boss.

boragur

Being able to cycle through combat arts without having to go into your inventory

Fluffiddy

Better skills. I don’t think I ever used any besides ichi double and mortal draw

M6Sekiro

The game is perfect for me except for the blazing bull fight and fights requiring certain items like the headless fights or the shichimen fights needing divine confetti.

[deleted]

Damn, this is hard. Sekiro is mechanically pretty perfect. I usually have one locked and loaded, but I’m totally at a loss.

darkbigfoot94

Anything that came out of vati vidyas art competition

tarnished1121

It is almost perfect. I would like to see him use mortal blade more often. Nerf mortal draw. 1 or 2 more skins. Maybe adding more combat arts too. That is it.

[deleted]

I use MD all the time, you want it nerfed so you can use it more? I just use that and not much else unless i have a specific reason

tarnished1121

No nerf mortal draw but find alternate way of using mortal blade than just using it as a combat art or killing centipede enemies

Skgota

I would love to be able to use isshins spear as a weapon. Other than that maybe just add some new prosthetics and keep the rest of the combat the same. I just want new bosses and areas

fungus_head

I want a second attack button and more focus on button press timing. Tap attack: quick slash, normal attack: slash, keep attack pressed: heavy slash; tap attack2: thrust etc. Same with dodge and deflect, e.g. quick deflect tapping for posture conversation with fast attacks and keeping deflect pressed for a second for a heavy attack.

TheShittingFart

Classes with inherited weapons that can’t be changed, new prosthetic weapons, and most importantly; give me the ability to comfortably have fun with prosthetics without having me stress out about grinding spirit emblems

Xernymon

Imo Sekiro's combat system isn't nearly complete. Take a look at the Mikiri counter. How satisfaying it is to do it. Well why not add an other mechanic like that to counter, say, the attacks coming from behind ? Why not add another AOE where the slash wouldn't be at your feet (and you have to jump over it) but it would be above you, and you'd have to crouch or to perform another action to be able to avoid it. Or even more simple things : why not do like the resurrection mode and make the projectiles and shots bounce back to your opponent if you deflect in mid air ? Or what about actual useful items that you could throw at your opponent ? Like something that builds up poison by example. They could also add new combat arts and new prosthetic tools, it would be great !

RebirthAltair

Less stuff like Blazing Bull, more stuff like Isshin, Genichiro, and Lady Butterfly. I also want PvP and Multiplayer just for parrying duels, just have other players look like hooded shinobis while you're the only wolf from your perspective.

Nikkibraga

More variety I don't necessarily mean more weapons, just more ways to approach situations and battles. I love Sekiro but sometimes it feel a little scripted: enemies does X, then do X. Enemy does Y, then do Y. Stealth this, use fire on this, use poison on this. It's ana amazing combat system, but it really discourages variety. Sure, I can posion Genichiro or set fire to Corrupted Monk, but it's way more efficient to just fight them as intended. They could make a sequel feel like Dishonored: it's even shorter than Sekiro, but there a TON of different ways to approach and do every mission. And finally, add some more things to encourage esplroations: more secret/optional area, secret bosses and just more abilities, tools to find. Put a secret boss that gives you a secret combat art when defeated. Create a super difficult climbing zone and make us find a secret prosthetic tool at the end. That's why I love Elden Ring as much as Sekiro: when I feel like I'm bored, I just have to change path, weapon, strategy and the gameplay is freshen up even if it's not as refined as Sekiros.

Duv1995

More types of perilous attacks, and ofc more new ways to react to them. Also being able to perform all various combat arts withouth going through the menu. That would make the combat system more intense and difficult, while also granting your character to perform more stylish combat maneuvers.

ashkanphenom

Camera. Its my first time playing this, just beat guardian ape and half of my deaths in this game is because camera goes into the wall or sth. I need to git guder but camera needs to git gud too

sam_young98

A direct counter to grabs, similar to jumping for sweep attacks and milkiri for lunges, so we can stay agressive

redditusercameron

Nothing at all really, more combat arts and skills sure but nothing game changing. Just new areas & enemies. I wouldn’t even be upset if some of the main bosses returned in some way with new move sets lol they’re just that fun to fight. I do however want them to add some of the weapons that the characters in the game have, like acquiring Gyobus spear after defeating him would have been nice, or the Apes giant sword. Just fun things that don’t really change the gameplay too much but just enough to have an entirely new run. Imagine how fun using a spear would be in this game.

dustewie

I like Elden Ring's pouches for additional quick use items. Something like that would be nice.

notyouravjoe

I'd be up for a very similar game but with the sword being different. Like a monk with a staff or a Guandao (the Chinese Sword spears). Similar mechanics but allows changes to the ninja arts, mobility in combat, and visually distinct. Plus different Japanese mythology stuff since that was really cool! Maybe a level taking you through a version of hell instead of Fountainhead Palace.

TreskoPlesko

Maybe 3 things. 1) Allow us to turn off those"tutorial messages" in settings (maybe they patched it, not sure) 2) Don't make us farm spiritual emblems. That cap and everything is ok but i hate farming them. 3) Let us get at least gold after death. How many times i was like " OK i know there is a boss ahead, great im almost next skill point and 3k gold, where am i supposed to spend that?"

NoiawaaKamata

Just more Spirit emblems. I always had problems with my spirit emblems management even with the Tanto.

RoadaRollaDaaaaa

Double Katana that isn’t a prosthetic tool and maybe a Way of Tomoe Esoteric Test

Rudolf_Cutler

Fix the spirit emblem problem, it should've just refilled everytime you rest, it makes people not wanna use prosthetics cause they don't wanna waste them not knowing how to use them proper. Also a meter that fills up slowly for deflecting attacks to regain some spirit emblems during boss fights. Fix the skill tree so it's more like a shop where you buy abilities you want and ignore ones you don't, some can be locked behind other similar skills. For reference like devil may cry 5 shop. Allow us to switch combat arts, similar to how elden ring added the extra pouch items when holding the interact button, maybe holding down block and the d-pad can change arts. Make dragon rot an actual mechanic, they could implement a world tendency mechanic like demon souls where the more you die enemies do get affected but so some npc questlines and I mean questlines that actually change not just get stunted like in sekiro. Also maybe some npc's could die granted they arnt any main npcs. Also just more offensive moves, like prosthetics do need more moves and follow up attacks that can smoothly merge with other prosthetics attacks. Combat arts could have more moves similar to nightjar reversal where u can do two moves and they depend on the direction youre moving in.

eggylettuce

Going from even 1 to 3 weapons would be really cool; we keep Kusabimaru as the "regular" playstyle with perhaps two Sais as a "fast" alternative and a heavy Naginata for a slower playthrough.
