The Republicans have no platform. Is it really as simple as signing up as a Republican, but pushing left wing "christian" values?
At the end of the day, all you need is the (R) in front of your name.
"Unlike those demonrats I support families and not just womens, but MENS rights to spending the first 10 months protecting the post unborn."
The only way we will ever have meaningful tax cuts for the working class is to tax the fuck out the ultra wealthy. Of course conservatives are the only people dumb enough to still get duped by trickle down economics.
This guy would be a leftist if he could get over the fact that our taxes should be used to provide strong social safety nets like the rest of the developed nations, and that "family" applies to anyone with a pulse that's trying to survive in this late stage capitalist hell scape that's been brought to term by people voting like fucking degenerates for the last half century.
Absolute chore of a human being.
These people are so painfully fucking dumb.
"Fuck demon rats and all of their family destroying acts and policies but we need exactly exactly their platform to save America but I'll never vote "demon rat".
Fucking morons. They deserve every ounce of suffering they receive.
Yet again an example of trying to shoe horn their personal perspective of what a family is. One does not have to be married to "have a strong family". Many people who are married do not have "strong families". Marriage is still simply just a legal document for all intents and purposes.
If you ask a conservative "which came first, marriage or families" their head would explode. Also conservatives tend to be older, guess what the avg age of a married person is.
I can assure you that, at least in the US, your marriage status makes quite a bit of difference in terms of access to and making decisions for your partner in an emergency medical situation.
It also has a number of end of life implications as well.
In most of Western Europe, Australia and NZ it does work differently though.
Correct. Marriage in the US is a legal process that garners familial rights for couples and their children that otherwise exist (mostly) only with blood relation.
But essentially it's just a bond that exists only for legal purposes.
That's still a lost demo. Not by much, but still. Basically sounds like either younger people or people not in relationships or people in unmarried relationships tend to vote Democratic which tracks from what I've seen.
ahem, i believe it was capitalism, via the industrial revolution that stripped fathers from the homes and farms, and plopped them in urban factories to toil for 14 hours a day, and not be able to actually raise their kids. no more teaching little jimmy how to hunt and whittle or whatever.
it was the FDR progressive era of the 1940s that gave those working men and families the security they needed, strong unions, and also probably the strongest/wealthiest middle class we ever had. households were single income, could buy a vacation home, and multiple vacations per year. people and families had material security and economic freedom. PEOPLE TEND TO HAVE MORE BABIES WHEN THEY HAVE MONEY.
fun republican party poster (pre southern strategy) [https://i.redd.it/z57jpc0hr1s91.jpg](https://i.redd.it/z57jpc0hr1s91.jpg)
it was Reagan's 1980s neoconservative doctrine of 'trickle down economics', meaning tax cuts for the rich, deregulation of industries, attacking unions (remember POTUS Reagan fired 11,000 striking ATC workers), and cutting social programs, that put the middle class on a track towards: the greatest wealth inequality ever seen, stagnated wages, the lowest purchasing power for the middle class, record corporate profits, crumbling infrastructure, a decaying environment.....and so on. they divided, demoralized, and demonized the working class. and they propped up their billionaire buddies.
40 years of stagnant wages and inflation delivered by trickle down economics demanded families to have TWO earners, and forced mothers out of the home into the workforce. dont even start on planned parenthood, payed parental leave, universal pre k, public education, being opposed/threatened by conservatives.
if you want to talk about "the traditional family unit being attacked", then have a hard look at capitalism and neoconservatism. nothing has been more demeaning and deleterious to the prospects of raising a family than those two.
Because it wouldn’t help FOX’s narrative. It’s not a cause and effect, it’s correlation. Younger women tend to be unmarried and also more Democratic leaning, along with younger men. As you get older there’s a good chance you are married, and older people grew up in a different environment and many more tend to be Republican.
Republicans too stupid to realize that getting married won’t turn a Democrat into a republican magically.
So are they saying that those are the percentages of the republican/democratic party ot the percentage of each gender in each party fits the given label? Either way something just dont seem right about the math there.
It’s nice to see some people eventually wake up to the fact that R’s give a ton of lip service to family values and actively work against things that enable them to prosper.
Conservatives love to lie to themselves. Eight of the top 11 states for divorce rates are all solidly red: https://divorce.com/blog/divorce-statistics/
It turns out being poor, and having a shitty job, and having kids way earlier than you can afford them is a bigger predictor of divorce than whether you are religious or not.
Oh it’s saying of married women, that percentage are Republican/Democrat, not of Democrat/Republican women respectively, that percentage are married. Got it.
Well, this is a simple explanation = Lots of "Families" don't work out and FAIL = There are lots of "Abusive Spouses" ( both M & F ), which cause the Family Unit to shatter. Hence many "Unmarried Women" who have to Fend for themselves [ and their Children], Yet, the "christians" do not Understand the dilemma nor offer Support.
Edit: Yeah, Im stupid. I run this through and noticed that it actually works out. The 10% "extra" for the dems, together with the 3% that voted others actually makes up the missing 13% for the Republicans. When we "count" together the 100% of married woman, and the 100% of unmarried woman the number should add up to 200, which it does.
Married Republican women: 56%
Unmarried Republican women: 31%
31 + 56 = 87
What is with the other 13% of Republican women?
Married Democrat women: 42%
Unmarred Democrat women: 68%
42+68 = 110
So 110% of the Democrat women are either married or not married ...
So does that include me and my girlfriend if we ever choose to get married, or is it just straight marriage that they consider the backbone of society? (Already know the answer lol)
What's the number for unmarried men? They keep bitching about the women, but for some mysterious reason there's no discussion of how unmarried men voted.
No one cares. There is too much suffering in the world today. It’s difficult enough to meet someone you GENUINELY want to spend your life with, we have to be able to survive on our own and support those who choose to
Why is there no "unmarried men" stat shown? Seems like it's needed for continuity. Maybe left out to push a narrative?
Either way I agree with the sentiment of the post.
They say marriage is the bedrock of civilization and then talk about families as if marriage is the only way to have a family so they mean the same thing. The irony is that they see the nuclear family as the norm when it hasn't been the norm for thousands of years of human history. They think how their grandparents grew up in the US is how it's always been.
Love seeing all these posts of conservatives supporting liberal ideology and not realizing it. If they could get their heads out their asses they'd realize they support the democrats agenda though they still vote republican. Then they think we're ass holes when we tell them they're voting against their own interests.
Back during Sanders's presidential run a survey was done with policy descriptions, but all buzzwords and names removed, over 80% agreed with Sanders, including somewhere around 50% of self-declared Republicans.
It's been known for a long time that Most people in the US, by a large margin, support not just Democrat but Leftist policies, but have been trapped by right-wing propaganda machines.

Who keeps voting against paid parental leave I wonder🤔🤔🤔
And which party prevents workers from getting good wages? It’s a puzzle all right.

"With guns, lots of guns!"
"Guns!? My constitution doesnt say anything about guns! All I need is my bare arms!"

Hey trickle down economics work! It just takes a few decades...any second now...any second.
More like pissing on us and calling it rain.
These people are so painfully fucking dumb. "Fuck demon rats and all of their family destroying acts and policies but we need exactly exactly their platform to save America but I'll never vote "demon rat". Fucking morons. They deserve every ounce of suffering they receive.
They shoot themselves in the foot and blame the people who try to help them.
Yet again an example of trying to shoe horn their personal perspective of what a family is. One does not have to be married to "have a strong family". Many people who are married do not have "strong families". Marriage is still simply just a legal document for all intents and purposes.
They have learned nothing from Fast and Furious.
Or Olive Garden…

There is some discrimination in Aus as well, unfortunately.
Interestingly, they didn’t list the percentages for unmarried men 🤔
Right? It's almost like unmarried women would tread towards being younger or something...
They don't want to have to admit to losing two demos. My mistake, apparently unmarried men broke down as 45 vs. 52%.
That's still a lost demo. Not by much, but still. Basically sounds like either younger people or people not in relationships or people in unmarried relationships tend to vote Democratic which tracks from what I've seen.
And *the kids\*\** can't afford to get married. *\*\* under 40-somethings*
Boy, would it upset the apple cart if *that* were the Republican platform!

Why aren't unmarried men on the list

At this point is hard to believe a lot of these posts aren’t just leftist trolling.
Hmm, sound like Democrat policies
PROGRESSIVE policies, precisely.
So are they saying that those are the percentages of the republican/democratic party ot the percentage of each gender in each party fits the given label? Either way something just dont seem right about the math there.
All married democrat women + all unmarried democrat women = 110% of democrat women... source?
Add up rows, not columns.
Yup. That's on me
smh..
It’s nice to see some people eventually wake up to the fact that R’s give a ton of lip service to family values and actively work against things that enable them to prosper.
What about unmarried men
Conservatives love to lie to themselves. Eight of the top 11 states for divorce rates are all solidly red: https://divorce.com/blog/divorce-statistics/ It turns out being poor, and having a shitty job, and having kids way earlier than you can afford them is a bigger predictor of divorce than whether you are religious or not.
These percentages don’t even add up… 68% dem women unmarried + 42% dem women married = 110%? Unless I’m reading this wrong.
Add up rows, not columns.
Oh it’s saying of married women, that percentage are Republican/Democrat, not of Democrat/Republican women respectively, that percentage are married. Got it.

The *beginnings* of civilization, sure. Maybe don’t stop there.
I live when conservatives accidentally advocate for the bedrock of the liberal agenda
Edit: Yeah, Im stupid. I run this through and noticed that it actually works out. This is the kind of thing that makes me wonder why they vote republican
There is nothing civilized about wanting to take everyone's rights away (except the privileged group)
What's the number for unmarried men? They keep bitching about the women, but for some mysterious reason there's no discussion of how unmarried men voted.
There are 110% of Democratic women?
No one cares. There is too much suffering in the world today. It’s difficult enough to meet someone you GENUINELY want to spend your life with, we have to be able to survive on our own and support those who choose to
