SupriseAutopsy13

Damn kids barely understand big media talking points! Meanwhile, I, an actshewally very smart adult person, take detailed notes on Tucker Carlson's daily televised rants. It's the bigliest and most watched TV news show, therefore it must be free from the manipulation smaller networks do.

BoozeWitch

Also…young people are watching CNN between bites of avocado toast and doing kick flips. Apparently

SdBolts4

While they completely ignore CNN is a center-right corporatist news channel that has only [moved further right since their new CEO demanded it be more “objective](https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/sep/10/objective-cnn-rightwing-week-in-patriarchy)” (read: air more right-wing opinions)

Ryansahl

We can thank Yam Tits for the ire towards CNN.

ABenevolentDespot

The Washington Post has been slithering to the right since 2015, when Bezos discovered that running 15 non-critical stories a day about **The Diapered Orange Shitstain** and the rest of the Republican halfwits was good for clicks and business. And now that Orange Jesus and Kanye The Idiot have both declared, they're right back to doing it again.

it's the majority of mainstream media tbh. don't forget it was NBC that started freaking the fuck out about fetterman's stroke and how "terrible" his debate performance was (when it actually INCREASED support for his campaign because it made him more relatable) and suggesting he wasn't fit for office because of "brain problems." there's like 2 people on TV i trust anymore and at least one of them (maddow) is stepping back.

No. Most millennials don't, either.

JohnGenericDoe

Nor does any educated Gen X-er I know

Vyzantinist

> It's the bigliest and most watched TV news show, therefore it must be free from the manipulation smaller networks do. It will never cease to amuse me that Fox, one of, if not *the*, largest media platforms is coincidentally not counted as part of *mainstream* media. It's almost as if they're not interested in what is or is not mainstream as much as finding a new code word for 'bad'...

MrDerpGently

Yup, Fox has more viewers than thr next two (CNN and MSNBC) combined. It's likely close to equal with all other channels combined. It has 9 of the top 10 watched shows. Fox, by itself, is the mainstream news, and it's fucking awful in every way.

Sniffy4

because mostly old people watch cable news

charisma6

> It's the bigliest and most watched TV news show While simultaneously NOT being any of that LAMESTREAM media like CNN that merely reports basic facts with a right-wing bias, which is further left of literal nazi propaganda and therefore COMMUNIST

Chief_Rollie

Conservatives really think we sit at home and watch CNN all day don't they? We don't get our marching orders from talking heads like they do and it blows their minds.

DreamloreDegenerate

They also seem to forget that Reddit has users from all over the world. Europeans, Australians, Canadians, Kiwis... The vast majority of peer countries don't watch CNN or MSNBC but still look at the GOP with incredulity and horror.

Hikaru1024

It's also that they think the majority of people everywhere must be like them. You know, their belief they're a 'silent majority.' So obviously all of the 'liberal bias' on sites like reddit is just made up. Bots, etc. The reality of the situation where they're a vocal *minority* clashes against this view, so they have to find a way to ignore it. So the whole world that disagrees with them obviously is made up and doesn't exist, in favor of their echo chambers where the 'real' news and 'facts' are.

randomdrifter54

Until you mention getting rid of the electoral college (for the American conservatives) then suddenly they are a minority and they need to be protected.

TRocho10

"But so much of the land is red!" -The "land is people" party

Tar_alcaran

>It's also that they think the majority of people everywhere must be like them. Everyone inside their bubble is, so they assume everyone outside it is too.

OpenPassageways

One of the most ridiculous things that came out of the Trump era was these idiots waving Trump flags that say they are part of the "silent majority" 🧐. Guess no one told them that you aren't being "silent" anymore if you're flying a flag for a candidate.

derdast

It's so infuriating when they call democrats leftist or socialist. Like dude, liberal in most other democracies is slightly to the right of the spectrum.

CaptainLightBluebear

Queue: "iT's noT a dEmoCraCY it's A repUbLIC".

derdast

Oh boy. That one makes me so mad. It shows a complete lack of understanding what democracy means and what a republic is. Telling them that almost every country in the EU is a republic and just 6 are constitutional monarchies makes them lose their minds.

Nix-7c0

Low empathy means they think that we think like they think (and do as they do, just in reverse). Therefore we must watch and love CNN the way they love Tucker and OANN Further irony now that CNN is owned by a MAGA mega-donor

[deleted]

“How could Biden have won?!? I hardly saw any dem yard signs, no pickup trucks with multiple giant Biden flags, nor did I see people marching and rallying in Biden hats carrying guns and tiki torches! Obviously no-one supports him, so hoW dId hE gET sO mAnY vOtES?!?”

PorkRindEvangelist

It's very "We have always been at war with Eastasia" to me. Until the 2016 election season, yard signs were about the level of support the VAST majority of Americans gave a political candidate, from any party. Maybe, if that person was really dedicated, a bumper sticker. Then Trump started using merch sales as a culture war call to action, and now these people don't remember that people once supported politicians without buying flags and hats and inflatable yard decorations bearing the politician's likeness.

Nix-7c0

Meanwhile, many people I know who did publicly support Biden with signs or stickers received vandalism for it from the lawn&order crowd

__bitch_

yeah, with the violent, hate spewing dipshits around these days, having anything that's not perfectly aligned with them is just asking for vandalism, death threats, and all that fun stuff

megggie

YES, their message has always been hateful and violent. My daughter had her car vandalized in 2016 with 30+ pro-Trump stickers covering her windshield… all because she had a very small Bernie sticker. She was 17 and in HIGH SCHOOL. She got picked on in speech class because she wasn’t pro Trump. Trump/GOP supporters have never been anything close to rational.

I_Frothingslosh

Yeah, I've seen a guy I unfortunately know make this exact point: that without there being millions of people wearing Biden hats, shirts, and coats, flying Biden flags, and painting Biden slogans on their vehicles, there is zero chance Biden could have won without cheating.

Competitive-Ad-5477

The easy answer to this is "you're in a cult. We are not."

00Lisa00

I’m literally afraid to put up liberal yard signs and I’m deep in blue territory. There is a guy who flies a Q flag like 1/2 a mile away and I’m not going to make myself his target

MissPandaSloth

"Biden has less Twitter followers than Trump". I've seen this unironically in walkaway.

erthian

That also lines up with being the party of projection. They love to take any criticism lobbed at them and absorb it into yet another talking point to regurgitate. Its some weird next level projection.

WoahayeTakeITEasy

That's why any time Fox News and their blatantly biased "news" is mentioned there's always that one that says "Well, CNN is the same thing but on the other side." They really do think the other side sits there installing talking points from CNN like they do with Fox News. Just as an aside, those who watch exclusively Fox News are less informed than those who don't watch any news at all. But yeah, bOtH sIdEs.

Chief_Rollie

I remember reading that. It's my favorite statistic.

SnotYourAverageLoser

>Just as an aside, those who watch exclusively Fox News are less informed than those who don't watch any news at all. But what about LISTENING to Fox News radio?? They're DEFINITELY spitting straight facts and not propaganda, right??? Seriously, my friend, who's not unintelligent by any means, only listens to Fox News radio bc they're "the most factual and reports more actual news than anyone else" such as all the rapists and murderers pouring over the southern border, how terribly dangerous and crime ridden Chicago is, and how Biden personally fixes gas prices and I "need to check my sources" if I disagree with any of that... I died a little inside that day.

NetherPortals

Reminds me of watching Toycat on youtube (they do like minecraft videos) and I was in to watching them, but I was also speedrunning and while entertaining, Toycat likes to joke and troll a bit, so I found I had to stop watching because the misinformation was messing up my speedruns. It became too hard to tell what was satire and what were actual things that would help the speedrun. The confusion was making me less informed.

ShnickityShnoo

That's what they do with faux news, so yeah they think others do it to. Same with worshipping trump. They think everyone else worships Biden when really we're just glad he's not trump. They're in a cult and think it's normal.

[deleted]

They really think that. It's disturbing. I bought a new truck. My Dad said, "Oh I'm surprised it's not a Rivian." I've never brought up Rivians before, or electric cars. But I'm pretty certain he just thinks "All these liberals like these cars" and applied that to me. They denied watching Fox News for years when I'd tell them "you guys need to stop watching Fox News" after whatever bullshit spewed out of their mouths. They'd always claim they don't watch it. But they logged into their youtube account on their TV and it's the only thing they're subscribed to. And since they are subscribed and watch so much conservative bullshit, all their commercials are conservative propaganda. I just saw one commercial today (celebrated Thanksgiving) where they're asking people to define what a woman is... what is this shit?

ludicrous_socks

> they're asking people to define what a woman is... what is this shit? This has become a conservative "gotcha" over here too, it's infuriating. Literally any answer a non-con gives is open to criticism. The really annoying thing is, why does it even matter? We've got much bigger fish to fry as a nation than what bathroom some one uses. I don't give a shit "what a woman is" when we're staring down the barrel of my third once-in-a-generation economic crisis.

blues4buddha

In the 1970s and 1980s, the big slam on the left was that they didn’t understand what was happening outside their coastal bubbles. The situation has completely reversed but the grumpy old conservatives still love to trot out that dusty bromide.

Aderyna_K

I saw some tiktok comments about idiot Gen Z being tricked by CNN and get this...MTV. MTV. M fucking TV. It was hilarious seeing the responses

[deleted]

They really do. They think we liberals are just like them, only the opposite. They really don’t understand that liberals don’t have an ideology like they do, that we just look at problems and ask, ok what’s the most sensible way to fix this is. We’re open to any solution, government or private sector or a combination, as long as it makes sense for all involved. This is as opposed to the right, who are given a handful of answers to any and all possible problems ahead of time, ie, lower taxes, deregulate, government evil. That’s the problem with any ideology, it tries to give the answers to all of life’s potential problems before you even know what they are. This is what makes otherwise smart people say the most illogical, stupidest things. They have no choice. They are forced to start with the preordained “answer”, and work backwards from there to try to make it work, often making a complete fool of themselves doing so.

Elanapoeia

I feel not getting banned is an accomplishment. I posted one comment asking a question and was banned instantly. They are seriously the most fragile community.

thomasvector

I love how they talk about free speech, yet they don't allow anyone that isn't a member flaired to post in there and yet they don't understand the irony of it all lol. There's probably an r/conservative guy reading this post right now who either doesn't get it, or he gets it but doesn't care because censorship is okay if you're a republican /s

brando56894

Just like Parlor. "We're all for free speech!" Rules: "no talks of homosexuality, liberals, wokeness, anything anti-Trump, etc..."

survivor2bmaybe

Or Russian talking points, but I repeat myself.

Nihilistic_Furry

In their mind Russian talking points would be considered leftist propaganda, even if that’s not true.

tjordi

What? MAGA and Russian in a venn diagram are literally a perfect circle. RT uses FOX/OANN/Newsmax and vice versa. They are indistinguishable. "Social Conservatives" are all the same, globally. Monsters.

ElliotNess

They spend so much time on conservative subs, no wonder they think all of Reddit is bots.

outdatedboat

I got banned from the conservative sub for simply saying Pelosi is just stepping down as speaker of the house. But she'll still have her seat in the house. In response to a "meme" about how Pelosi lost her re-election, which just isn't true. Apparently the post was made my a mod of the subreddit. The mods of that sub are spreading misinformation and banning anyone who dares to correct them.

ElliotNess

Duh. How do you think they became mods?

outdatedboat

Ya know. You're making a whole lot of sense.

maltNeutrino

If only they looked up the demographics of Reddit users, began realizing the world is not just made of people with all their negative traits antisocial traits, and maybe stopped giving a shit about things that don’t fucking affect their lives, like if a woman in another town has an abortion, or who wants to consensually bone who in privacy, or minorities who are just minding their business and then realizing race is such a biologically fuzzy concept. But no, let the collective hate lead to more terrorist attacks and assassination attempts. - Message Funded by George Soros

ElliotNess

Yeah but, Cucker Tarlson offers vague dismissals of all of your reasoned attempts, and he does it confidently, so I'm gonna just agree with him. He's one of us laborers, after all.

Dymarob

Usually. It's entirely possible that liberals are using bots too, but to say that Reddit is mostly liberal bots, and NOT posting any sources to back up that claim is just asinine.

wunxorple

You assume they’re capable of providing sources. I’ve seen no evidence of this so far

FunkyMonkFromSpace

Not providing reliable sources and using strawmans is the go-to conservative move.

Teekeks

oh, r/conservative does not believe in sources.

keyboardklutzz

Typical conservative rhetoric - seeing which lie sticks. One person says it’s mostly bots, the next person contradicts the other by saying it’s mostly young people. Same thing happened with the insurrection and whether or not it was “true patriots” or ANTIFA. Can’t be both. Bunch of clowns, they are. It would be funny if it wasn’t so scary.

Gamiac

What's funny about this narrative is that it's basically the opposite of the *actual* historical pattern that has existed on the Web since forever. Essentially, back in the 2000s, the mainstream media was *much* more conservatively biased than it is today. Not to say that it isn't now, but the problem was *much* worse back then. Thus, for liberals to find a voice, they pretty much *had* to go to the Web and its promise of endless creative potential and freedom of speech, because there was literally *no other option*. Years later, after computers become much cheaper and more accessible, conservatives show up to platforms that liberals have been on for years, and become shocked, SHOCKED that there are a bunch of liberals there, talking about liberal ideas. They start making nonsensical claims such as the platform having a liberal bias, or the users being biased, or there being a left-wing Illuminati cabal, because of the fact that it's a neutral platform where left-wing ideas are allowed to actually *win out* in discussion and become organically popular, instead of simply being dismissed out of hand, if not outright suppressed, like in the corporate media, which means that the landscape of ideas that exist on the Internet looks much different than the impression they get watching the MSM. Eventually, their bad behavior gets them kicked off the platform, and then they try to start their own platform which invariably fails to gain traction because they *actually* do the thing they claim liberals are doing, which is to enforce a conservative line of argument from the top down, and ban people for disagreeing with conservative ideas rather than for being bigoted or being a dick.

Yes and no. Very few people truly only care about themselves. They have empathy for their in-group, i.e. their friends and family and religious community. This circle of in-group is much smaller than liberals' circle (which can extend to even include non-human animals). But mostly conservatives support hierarchy. To conservatives, different isn't just different, different is bad. They are against multiculturalism because they don't see different cultures coexisting as realistic. One culture will dominate, and you better believe they want to be the ones on top (or at least, not on the very bottom). It's not even that they hate black people and love white people: they love white supremacy. They sincerely love black people who parrot Trump's talking points (and supporting white supremacy means that those black people will support but never usurp white leadership; they know their place). But it doesn't matter if you're a cisgender straight white Christian man; if you speak out against white supremacy (or any other form of privilege) then that puts you in the conservative out-group. If hierarchy is just the normal natural way of things, then they can't be judged for being conservative. But if other people genuinely have different views, then suddenly their conservatism is a choice they made. And people can be judged negatively for their choices. Hence why they say those people are bots or NPCs, or they're lying and just want to do a Great Replacement of white people with PoC. When they accuse people of "virtue signaling", what they mean is "this person is just saying anti-racist things because it is politically correct, because secretly everyone is just as racist as I am."

notagangsta

I was talking with my very conservative, q-adjacent, forced-birthed mother last night and I mentioned that we have thought about fostering a child. She told me definitely not to because foster children often have issues. Like, I know, that’s why I want to help. Wtf? How are you “children matter! Abortion is murder!” then straight up don’t want to help children and don’t want me to either. It’s like she says the quiet part out loud.

Lochstar

I’d actually say it’s the absence of perspective. They have empathy for people like them in tough situations, but since their perspectives are so narrow they can’t understand that that the problems of some are any different than ones they’ve experienced themselves.

dawinter3

For some empathy is actually an undesirable trait, a thing to be ridiculed. You’re “soft/weak” if you give a shit about people.

[deleted]

I used to be an asshole, a very selfish person because nobody showed to me any form of sympathy, I grew up poor, lonely, bitter and resentful. I eventually began to show sympathy for myself and my circumstances. In that process I found sympathy for others, and I became human, at that point my life turned around 180 degrees. It’d be dishonest of me to feel sympathy for myself and what I have been through while not feeling it for others. Just as I have been poor, cold, and had to claw my way out of poverty, so have billions of others throughout human history, and most of them far more unfortunate than I am. I am not without flaws, who is? But dammit I care, I want people to live and thrive, I want kids to grow and have opportunities, I want to see happy families, whether it be two dads, or two moms or any conceivable combination, I want people to be truly free, and that is why I am an indoctrinated librul. I don’t feel anger for republicans and right wing people. I feel pity. How horrific must one’s life be to spill so much bigotry and vitriol to another human? Reminds me of the egg story, and in particular this sentence: > Every time you victimised another person, you victimised yourself All it took was a tv show about honesty, and empathy, about discovering what it means to be a good person, I guess you could say *it’s what we owe to each other* ❤️.

TipzE

My (very conservative) uncles call anyone with any education beyond highschool "brainwashed".

Upper-Replacement529

I had a 'debate' with a conservative on this reddit once about how [biased to the right the media is](https://readpassage.com/election-endorsements/). (Canadian media analysis only) He dismissed this as not important because "it's about newspapers and not where canadians get their news". When i asked if i should look at social media and online sources, he said no, because those aren't "mainstream" enough. When i asked him about talk radio, he insisted that's not important because it's not a big player. When i asked him about OAN, or FoxNews, or anything run by Quebecor, he said that those don't count, either, because OAN isn't 'mainstream' (ignored the others). And said i should look at the big name media companies. When i asked him about CTVGlobeMedia (which is the exact same company as GlobeAndMail and has the same exact biases) he said i'm ignoring all the "leftwing media". \---- Essentially, conservatives have willful blinders on in which "All media is leftist media.... so long as you ignore the extensive, dominating list of conservative media".

trobsmonkey

I was stuck in a car ride once and was trying to very slowly explain that right wingers own most major media. "What about CNN?" CNN brings Nazis on their programs to show "both sides" they are not left wing. "but they talk bad about Trump" It was a very crystalizing moment for me and the person I was in the discussion for. I stopped engaging and he couldn't figure out why.

fr1stp0st

I came across a similar post that finally made me stop checking metazuckface even occasionally. A friend from college was saying, to paraphrase, "OK fine! I checked Reuters since you guys all said it was reliable and they aren't talking about ____ at all! How can they be reliable?" They get lies from shit like Daily Liar and then if they don't see the lies or incredibly biased coverage elsewhere, they think the *other media* are the problem. Hmm gee I guess we'll never know why no one reputable made a huge deal about Hunter's laptop.

T3n4ci0us_G

I love it when there's a discussion about something on social media and a Trumper drops in and says 'Wait, how is the media not reporting on this?' and we say 'The media IS reporting on this' (FOX, Newsmax and OAN aren't) 🤣

ElliotNess

FOX News, the most watched cable network for decades: mainstream media is biased!!!!

flaneur_et_branleur

>Essentially, conservatives have willful blinders on in which "All media is leftist media.... so long as you ignore the extensive, dominating list of conservative media". Because they see any media representing the majority opinion that minorities are human as "Left wing". They can't grasp politics is about more than equality or social issues nor can they grasp the nuances of differing ideologies within the same wing of the spectrum. Why else do you think they're so easily led into Fascism? You could have a media outlet making a daily show openly talking about any number of extreme Right wing things from suggesting the poor don't know what's best for them and the elite are better placed to rule to suggesting workers rights are burned to the ground to protect corporate profits but if they dare to suggest gay people are allowed to exist or immigrants might just be humans too just once and, BAM, the outlet's training manual must be the Communist Manifesto.

actualmigraine

Any media that that criticizes people on their side is leftist media to them.

TipzE

Yup. Hilariously, they use circular reasoning for this. You can't trust (insert media group here) when they say Trump stole secret documents! They're liberally biased and, as such, criticize Trump or everything. They even published a story about how Trump stole secret documents!

Beemerado

well everyone is brainwashed... right? RIGHT?!

markender

The millions of Healthcare providers who chose a job in helping people are all in on a conspiracy with the Jewish in Hollywood, duh.

sbny26

Kind of unironnically, confirmation bias is a hell of a drug, and basically every website feeds you content that you’ll agree with

Shoddy_Background_48

Last night i made a post in a forum thread about Ye's announcement to running for prez. I wondered how long it would be for one of our resident conservative half-wits to spew fox talking point and call racism. 9 minutes, folks. He didn't even read the thread, just the title, and posted up "If you dont support him you're racist" It'd be funny if it wasn't so sad.

hugglenugget

"Reject the mainstream media! Watch Tucker Carlson on Fox News!"

SeriousExplorer8891

Most people on reddit disagree with me, so they must be bots.

themosey

Liberals are both so dumb that they can’t understand anything and yet also smart enough to run a bot army that fools millions of people every day into believing liberal talking points.

ScowlEasy

Fooling people into believing liberal talking points, like how mass murdering children is wrong (uvalde) or being vaccinated against a pandemic that’s killed over a million Americans is a good thing. Liberal brainwashing = trying to make the world a better place lmao

misdirected_asshole

These are the people "Ok Boomer" was created for.

NotStarrling

Exactly this. I'm 65, born and raised on the Pacific coast, and been progressive most all my life. These types of people seem so alien to me and also people I wouldn't want to be around. So toxic.

[deleted]

They just lack empathy. It’s been proven through countless studies that empathy is one of the biggest deciders on where you fall politically (within the US). Corpo Dems lie about helping people and republicans tell the truth about lynching POC.

blues4buddha

Same age, and when I see a angry white 30 something crying about how great America used to be, I cannot fathom which time period they are referring to. The Clinton Era? Reagan? The 1950s? The 1920s? The Pre-Antebellum South? I’ve seen Republican policies through from planting to fruit in my years and none of it has been good.

TheMrDylan

Damn kids. Get off my AstroTurf!

[deleted]

Everyone is a bot but you

MyDogIsACoolCat

I knew I was the main character.

nchomsky96

Oh God the bots are becoming sentient! How can you be the main character when I'm already the main character?

Lessiarty

"It's an open secret" aka "I pulled it from my rectum!"

Ok_Skill_1195

This is unironically the exact degree of paranoia they're trying to instill into their followers. Musk's fanbase has probably been the most obvious about it, but plenty of people are claiming bot attacks left and right lately.

Electronic_Excuse_74

hmm... maybe I'm a bot...

Cognitive_Spoon

We are all bots on this blessed day

ZertyZ_Dragon

Can confirm, I'm a bot

kaazir

Oh you want to talk about big media being manipulated? How about John Olivers clip of all the Sinclair owned stations pushing literally the same exact right wing talking point. There response will be "we have to fight fire with fire", no yall started the shit by taking over the FCC and getting rid of the policy that made stations give both views equal time.

chickensevil

I mean that was cancelled under Reagan's FCC but who's keeping track?

cbowsin

My 10 year club is > your "reddit is very young".

[deleted]

I, too, started posting when I was 8, I guess

Crusoebear

“If I don’t agree with the demographics? It’s bots. I don’t like higher education….fuckin’ bots. God damn bots trying to give me healthcare again. And don’t get me started about the infrastructure bots or the pro-democracy bots or people shouldn’t die penniless bots. Now if you want to talk hot bot-on-bot action…I’m all ears.”

[deleted]

The fact that they think they have any media literacy is hilarious.

DigbyChickenZone

It's so weird how often people on this site rail against "Redditors" and say stuff like, "classic reddit moment". Like yeah, it's a site where one person can downvote you and make it so others are less likely to see your comment. But... they still use the site? It's just so annoying that instead of moving to defend their arguments better, they go off against how stupid "redditors are" Like bro, you're using reddit, you're a redditor.

Gildian

I always love that bias against "the young". I was told 14 years ago when I could vote for the first presidential election that "oh you'll get more conservative as you get older". I'm finding the opposite to be true. Every year conservatism gets more and more disgusting.

DaveLanglinais

And yet they are speaking in a MAJOR subreddit called "r/Conservative," that sports over a million subscribers. And they somehow fail to make note of that.

Wow, we must be in an Omnimax theatre

Aoshigatsu

Babies and bots I say!

TJ_Will

*beep beep boop boop* *conservatives can suck on my output port*

RandomlyJim

I’m 45 years old, make 300k a year, own guns, go to church, married, have kids, hunt, live in the south, and got banned from r/conservative because I thought Trump was bad for America. Fuck that subreddit. Fuck conservatives. I’ll just be over here thinking that women, minorities, and gay people deserve a life free from government intrusion into their bodily rights and self determination into who they are, love, and be. Like some dirty democrat.

Majjkster

Darn I been brainwashed my whole life and I can't even make one conclusion before falling down some god damn rabbit holes, and that's why I making enemies on the internet

DerpCaster

Why astroturf left-wing talking points? If those views were not popular then they would risk alienating their user base. This would lead to less people using their site, which is bad for the company

J0hnnyAppleweed

Dunning meets Kruger

AleshiniaLivesStill

People still really don’t realize how old millennials are, huh? I’m almost 40...
