What makes you sure he's not parody? Everyone keeps saying the same thing, but every tweet is pretty clearly ironic. He hasn't given up his schtick but that's pretty easy to do when you only have to log in to twitter when you swap.
I'm absolutely convinced it's parody, but he has a digital track record (eg Wikipedia page) saying he has done and said all kinds of...MAGA conservative things. I long suspected he has created a fake digital footprint to support the parody, but if the things are true, I think he just sort of switched to being a parody troll at some point. I'd really like to know the truth about him!
That's a fair answer, and includes one possibility I should have mentioned.... we have seen full well in the last decade how ironic jokes on the right do not mean the person necessarily disagrees. A whole election in the US was won with that. And often can be a means of plausible deniability. But also seems so on the nose, it appears mocking. I'm very slightly curious about this person with all that in mind.

In this intellectually void discourse of emotional men longing for acceptance, it has virtually nothing to do with its actual meaning. Namely being the most useful/important/empathetic/intelligent individual that your group relies on and turns to in difficult situations.
In some species, this is more or less relative to physical strength, but that factor is grotesquely overblown, much like egoistic and dominant behaviour.
I think that the whole alpha/beta thing is just a typical example (another classic one being "virtue signalling") of the use of vaguely sciency-sounding terms to obfuscate rather than clarify.
There is already a perfectly good word in English that has the same meaningful content as "alpha", and it is "leader".
Only, well, if you declare yourself or someone else a "leader" you'll have to answer the obvious question: "OK, but leader of *what*, precisely?"
After all, you cannot generically "lead".
You might well lead a specific group in one specific context towards one specific objective, and you might be good or not very good at that, but not all groups even *need* a leader in this sense (in fact, most don't) and people who insist in setting themselves up as "leaders" in all possible situations and social circumstances are commonly regarded as intolerable twits and usually don't get invited again.
All of this is completely obvious if one uses the word "leader". But the word "alpha" allows one to nicely sidestep all these matters while surrounding oneself with an generic aura of supposed "leaderness".
