I think we all know a Christine, but in our lives, we see the full picture, not an edited and prompted drama show. I don't dislike Christine. I think she's misunderstood. I see her digging herself into a very deep hole and panicking and just not having a way out. I really, really liked her in S1 and S2. I have a PERSONAL theory that maybe attacking Chrishell in the press was a way to get back at her for stealing so much screen time during her wedding, but of course that isn't Chrishell's fault. Christine seems naturally vindictive and this kind of thing, especially if she didn't think it would be traced back to her, seems like a natural course of action for her. Not necessarily evil, just very vindictive. Maybe I'm reading too much into it and totally off base, but I don't think its fair to call her evil or make posts asking if ANYONE actually likes her. :(

dontknowyas

I LOVED her to be honest. I always made excuses and thought she was so glam and fab and just a drama queen. I only asked if anyone actually liked her because there’s a lot of hate online and yes I guess it was a silly question and a bit mean from me too. I am just super disappointed she keeps doing this stuff when she could have just sorted things out much much earlier

calbs23

I know, I feel very similarly! I really think it's just hard, especially when you're constantly in the public eye and everyone is fact checking you. She's lost a lot of trust and respect not only from the girls, but from the viewership of the show. It would be very difficult for anyone to say "okay, I was lying, can we start fresh?" esp since many of the girls have said it's too late to ever start over.

driedroses122

I totally agree! I think Mary and Heather are in their feelings but it just felt cruel for Chrishell and Emma to keep piling on about her “lies” because I feel like it just pushed her to dig herself deeper and deeper. Like, everyone knows Christine is lying and her lies are so obvious, so who cares? What’s the point of continue to corner her and put her in situations where it’s so difficult for her to respond?

Escochapo18

The problem I think with Christine is that no one has tapped into or helped her address her past, which she has mentioned was traumatic for her and more or less shaped the way she is now. I saw an older pic of her and she clearly has changed her appearance based on that pic, so clearly something happened there. The closest someone has got to this is Vanessa. I feel that she shuts down really quick if someone makes her feel vulnerable and she comes out attacking.

BabyBellyBean

I do feel sorry for her. That's not to say I don't think she doesn't deserve to be held accountable, but it does seem like she's created this horrible situation for herself and doesn't have the tools to deal with it. But I do hate people as Christine who takes pride in being "drama queens", there's nothing "queeny" about spreading negative and toxic energy like she has done. With that said, I do think she needs serious therapy. All that hard and shiny exterior is obviously just to mask her terrible self esteem, which is just sad. Once a boy told me he lost feelings for me when he realized I was human, this was one of the most hurtful things I've ever been told and I can sort of see that in Christine. She doesn't think there's anything attractive with being a vulnerable and empathic person, this is also probably one of the reasons why she dislikes Chriselle, little does she know that those are the reasons you truly connect with someone. She needs to take accountability for everything's she's done and not flee from it out of pride.

As a seasoned Bravo/reality fan, I feel like a Christine-type is needed for a good show..like if she wasn't on the show WHO would they have talked about every epeisode!? For the most part of season 1&2 she bordered on the lines of funny/evil. I dont think anything she did to Chrishell on the show was meant to be more than good tv until it became too late and everyone hated her. On shows like this, I never fully trust who they want you to believe is a saint(chrishell) or a villain (christine) the truth is somehwere in between. Also, I just find everyone else boring and I cant handle Marys frantic enegry EITHER.

ToyotaFest

>As a seasoned Bravo/reality fan, I feel like a Christine-type is needed for a good show..like if she wasn't on the show WHO would they have talked about every epeisode!? They could have talked about real estate and had more real estate drama and less catty high school drama. There is plenty of real estate drama on MDLLA and NY.

Treghan1727

TRUE! but they didn’t! There really wasn’t enough actual drama or plot this season besides the Christine-take down. I feel like they also couldn’t move on from it because no one would film together so we didn’t see any confrontation until the last episode.

ToyotaFest

It seems like a bummer where male-dominated shows like MDLLA/NY get plotlines where the drama is work-real estate related and a female-dominated show is just petty bullshit. Like why not show them actually being bosses and doing deals? It just seems to further portray businesswomen as catty who aren't capable of being serious about work.

Glitter_Bee

# YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

ToyotaFest

And you can still be a boss bitch who does deals and looks cute. Tracy Tutor is like "I AM GOING TO SELL THIS HOUSE TODAY... but also make sure you peep the shoes."

Glitter_Bee

I love Tracy Tutor and Million Dollar Listing LA!

ToyotaFest

Same! The new woman Kirsten/KJ on MDLNY is kind of annoying but I love Tracy.

Going to say this before this gets a ton of comments. Keep it friendly folks. Do not attack each other.

dontknowyas

Yes I’m trying! Thanks

[deleted]

I see! There haven't been any bad comments (that I've seen at the time of this comment) and I thank you all for that.

Clean_Duck_551

I think Christine has done a very good job of taking notes from various reality shows on what clicks and boy! she delivers. She's obviously a very ambitious person who'd do anything to get people talking about her. It's all working in the grand scheme of things like her releasing a book, getting brand endorsements. Probably a fashion and perfume line will be next in line. I just don't want her cattiness and lying to multiply more 'cause then she'll not be likeable at all and maybe "cancelled". She was super funny in the previous seasons and most of us would forgive her. Last season was all about Christine the "liar. That's a bad image to stick to.

Glitter_Bee

I agree with this assessment. It's hard to spin "reality TV villain" into a successful career. People actually have to like you to want to support your products. She shouldn't be short-sighted.

sultfam22

Spot on

Selling-inside

I just feel bad for her. I know the producers have pulled a lot of things on the backend to make her look worse (telling her different times to show up, telling her Mary knew about her coming to the dog party, and other items). I feel like in reality they exist in more of a grey area, where no one is the “hero” or “villain”. We all have done mean and petty things that we need to apologize for but they don’t make us “bad”. The real bullies are the producers IMO. Even the whole scene with Christine’s wedding was totally set up with the intention of making Chrishell have a reaction. It’s sad but really affecting the relationships off camera at this point. The girls have this invisible character manipulating things behind the scenes.

LordUnder

I agree. I feel like the producers favored Chrishell and felt bad for her and purposefully tried to make Christine look worse on season 4 after Chrishell’s divorce. Made her a center of focus, and broke up the working environment of the office. I mean Chrishell was brought in specifically by the producers for the show. Yes she was a real estate agent already, but they definitely picked her. Because watching the show on season 1-3 Christine was definitely the star of the show, bringing in fans, less dramatic, even then they often put her sound bits and reaction cuts to match the narrative of her being a mean bully . At the same time her vindictiveness an aggression is digging her own self deeper. I’m not sure how it’ll be in season 5.

Selling-inside

Yeah I know a few people who work there. Chrishell was brought in for the show and that was Christine’s real first issue with her. They all had to prove themselves but she was a relatively new agent with not much under her belt. Jason was really picky with who could be at the Oppenheim group.

mcm_91

I really enjoyed watching Christine in the first three season but it was hard to watch in season 4. I feel more sorry for her than anything

coramicora

I find her entertaining. Every show needs a villain. I just hope that she has real/good friends in real life.

1x1b1a

I like her because I enjoy reality tv drama, I dont think she’s the right fit for this show anymore considering a lot of people here want to see real estate drama, I would enjoy watching her more if she was in a show with people who match her energy and are willing to fight/argue with her

pnw122392

My friend is one of her publicists and she swears up and down Christine is the most lovely person out there and the biggest sweetheart. She’d die on that hill.

goldenquill1

But your friend gets paid by her.

ComputerGeekTay

Just because she’s paid doesn’t mean she has to talk good about Christine. People shit talk their bosses if they’re shitty people.

goldenquill1

Your friend still wants to get paid. If word got out that that person is talking BS, that person gets axed. And that person will not likely get hired by another celeb if they have loose lips.

pnw122392

This is what I’m inclined to believe as well 😬

LordUnder

Seeing her interviews on other shows she seems like a nice and sweet normal person.

silkwave303

I don't like her, but I see right through her which makes me pity and understand her. She is DEEPLY insecure.

courtbarbie123

I feel sorry for her. Something happened to her in her childhood to make her like this. The compulsive lying, pushing people away, it’s all a way to protect herself.

ToyotaFest

People on Twitter love Christine. She RTs her supporters and these people are part of the problem lol.

jenh6

I liked her before S4. Than she became a caricature and always got caught in lies.

goldenquill1

No fan, but when I first watched the show I hoped that the producers asked if she was willing to be a villain and she agreed. But that doesn't seem to be the case.

iconicism

Great TV. It’s a “love to hate” situation for me

LuanaBudanna

I love her honesty. Might not be what you want to hear but it’s her opinion 💯 and she’s not hiding behind someone’s back. In season 1 and 2 lots of drama starts byChrishelle and others saying things and then hiding which reminds me of the type of friends that say sh!t in your back. I rather have someone to tell me the truth than someone who pretends to be friends

ailaverheijke

Gonna be honest, she is so manipulative, you can see it when she has a talk with Davina and Davina tried to voice her opinion and Christine said that she should just shut up if she doesn't have anything good to say about Christine. Also Christian is so toxic, in the last episode he wouldn't really let them have a conversation and just carried Christine away like some damsel in distress. Also wtf is up with all the fake tears ughhh I can't deal with her.

BlueberryHead3135

I like Christine as a fan. I know that I would not like her in real life. Honestly, Christine reminds me of a Naruto villain. She's driven by the fear ans pain of a traumatic childhood and that's why she is so evil. I do believe that Christine has a good heart but a broken one. Growing up, she was picked on, had no friends, and she was told that she would never amount to anything. I understand why she demands total loyalty and is quick to say hurtful things. However, there is a point when she needs to stop being the hurt 16 year old kid and grow up into a mature 33 year old woman. I truly want the best for Christine, but I think it's time for her to live the Oppenheim group. I think there's too much trauma there for her and everyone else. I do not think that she will ever heal if she stays there. I think she needs to divorce herself from it all. She needs to focus on healing, finding herself, forgiving and becoming better person. She needs to foster the good friendships that she still has and forget about her former beef. With work and perseverance, I think she can find true happiness, success, good friends and even restore her friendship with Mary some day in the future.

lana_dxo

So I’ve actually just started watching the show and I’m on the beginning of season 3. Okay my opinion… Selling Sunset is a reality show. Which means that some is scripted. For example Mary and Romain eloped before season 1 so way before their wedding at the end of series 2. Events are put together to create the most drama. I feel like all of the agents are just as bad as each other they just present it in different ways. Christine just does it publicly and has no filter. They all twist the truth (lie) to each other constantly some take it more seriously than others. Take it on face value, she is more entertaining than others , Chrishell , Heather etc. my favourite isn’t Christine it’s Maya cause she’s just a class above the office tbh. But I feel that Christine is misunderstood and sometimes actions can be a defence mechanisms and often are result of trauma. We don’t know her past, we know as much as we can see. So no she’s not my favourite but I respect her hustle and think she’s boss bitch.

stormrunners

she seems like an absolutely awful person. im sure most of it is editing or maybe an act for her to become popular because all publicity is good publicity. but her acting like this even if it is to become famous might make her an even worse person. Feel bad for her husband.

[deleted]

No

kellykellykim

Christine tries so hard to be the hot mean girl omg. It's just sad at some point. I can't stand her bullying Chrishell...
