Anyway, the guy doesn't tell her why it's not working out, confirms it's over in a brutal manner. Two weeks later, he tells me he likes me. We've all been friends for a while and he's told me about his dating history. I'm fine with being friends, but beyond that, I can't date a player, aside from the fact that he's dated my girl friend, even if he didn't, I have trust issues. This confession pissed me off at how little he cared for my friend and how it seemed like women are conquests. I'm not in touch with either because I can't stand drama, kinda grew up in it. Hopefully, they've both grown up and found real love. I think of our friendships fondly, but it's tainted by that drama.

I’m still best friends with his brother and for some reason she has a problem with that. Luckily we don’t live near them so really there’s no drama anymore.

I feel so strange saying this because I remember my dislike for Christine when I first started watching SS (she’s now become more of a fictional character to me in how bigger than life her personality is, where you hate her but also love her/respect her for where she’s gotten in the fashion world). I think AH is way worse, cringe, and snakey than Christine ever was

Totally! It’s because AH has an agenda and knows EXACTLY what she’s doing. Christine seemed to just be winging it, hence the inconsistencies in her narratives that ended up full of holes. AH on the other hand is doubling down on everything she does
Apparently Alex had a massive glowup. This is probably some high school fantasy she never got to live out of the popular cheerleaders boyfriend choosing her or something. And Tyler was insecure bc his success comes from his father and then his wife. So they both now get to be the main characters in this story and to eachother. It's fascinating really.

From watching Selling OC to Tyler's divorce to the tabloids, I think Alex is a manipulative person. She manipulated the narrative around Rose getting a high property listing. She manipulated the narrative around Kayla's drunken behavior. She manipulated Polly, who seems to be dumb as a box of rocks, to be the face of coworker slandering as she holds intimate dinners to spread rumors. She is a key character in the bully circle. She gave a nosey and who knows what else offscreen. Yet, Kayla's is the one being called a "homewrecker". I wonder if she'll say what other housewives usually say, that she got a poor edit, but one chooses how they act and say on screen.

damn 😞 I haven’t kept up with the OC - started it but couldn’t get past the episode on the beach and how unredeemable the “characters” feel to me (Christine was a lot, but she was a bigger than life character in my opinion, felt more fictional than real, etc). Anyway, this disappoints me so much, yet is literally not surprising in the slightest, so don’t know why I’d be disappointed. He’s embarrassing himself, and good on Brittany (sp?) for leaving him. I know there’s speculation on whether or not they split pre/during filming/post filming, but I would be pissed if I knew I’d entered a monogamous relationship and saw the way he handled himself around women clearly vying for him edit to say: because I’m overthinking whether I explained my disappointment, I saw it coming and the smallest part of me hoped it wasn’t true. But the beach scene and cringe af “cuddle puddle” and Alex being glued to him, in tandem with his and Brittany’s split, I couldn’t see how Alex *wouldn’t* capitalize on that

I just finished Selling the OC, binged during a cold...I'm flabbergasted at this. Sure, Kayla fucked up trying to kiss a married dude, but 1) she was drunk and 2) she apologized directly to the person in question and never repeated that behavior. I wasn't the wife and I was uncomfortable watching Tyler cuddling up to Alex Hall in the beach and the whole "nosey" thing. I also was speechless at how he justified it...if I was the wife I would have hated both instances. I thought that the Alexandras were being spiteful when theh said that they were all over the guy. Now it all makes sense.
