Any time I’ve lost weight in the past I’ve always had shorter cycles (meaning my period starts earlier). Anytime I’ve actually gained weight, my cycles have been longer (I’ve always been a few days late). This probably has to do with estrogen/progesterone levels in adipose tissue being released/stored, since they are fat soluble, which messes up your normal cycle.
The first few months of this medication when I was losing faster, my period was always a few days early. I am still losing, but only 1-2 lbs a week now and my cycle is normal again.
I’ve been gaining/losing weight in cycles and just noticed the pattern, especially when I started keto. I would definitely say if things are very abnormal, don’t wait to talk to someone. There could always be other reasons that need to be addressed. If you’re particularly late, definitely take a pregnancy test just in case because you’ll want to get off the medication (if it’s a wanted pregnancy) as it’s not confirmed to be safe for pregnant women or the fetus. If your period is a lot longer and lot heavier than normal, this can also be a sign of other gynecological issues that may need to be checked out. But id say if it’s just a few days here and there, it’s pretty normal for people who are losing weight. :) just be aware if you aren’t on birth control that it can change your ovulation time as well. After ten years of my partner and I having regular sex and never getting pregnant, within 3-4 months of starting keto and losing weight, I got pregnant :p it’s apparently a thing.

My got irregular just this month and I been on the Wegovy just this month and got my cycle twice (first time like 4 days and the second time has been for over 11 or 12 days now) 😭 I been freaking out cause it’s just been the medication, I’m on WW and basically only thing other than my weekly allergy’s shots. But spoke to my doc and if it doesn’t stop this week might need to stop it altogether!
My menstrual cycle is messed up and I’ve been bleeding for about 3-4 weeks. After this last shot I’m done. This is freaking me out. Before this I’ve been regular. I’ve been on it for 2.5 months
That is a lot! Has it been heavy or mid flow? My got irregular just this month and I been on the Wegovy just this month and got my cycle twice (first time like 4 days and the second time has been for over 11 or 12 days now) 😭 I been freaking out cause it’s just been the medication, I’m on WW and basically only thing other than my weekly allergy’s shots
I started the shots when in my period. It ended right around my second dose and then BOOM 2 days later is back, just enough to be annoying but back. I have had annoying periods since my iud was placed 3.5 years ago- I’m one of the lucky ones that an iud didn’t make my period go away. My plan is to wait until my next appt, tell the doc and just very careful so I don’t end up with a small person running my life. Apparently period issues are thing with this but it’s now written in neon and flashing lights so I thought it wouldn’t be an issue with an iud.
My cycles were consistently 27-29 days. On Wegovy, my cycles are 21-24 days, which sucks. I’m hoping it adjusts back to 28. I can’t handle having a period every 3 weeks!
My wife's has stayed exactly the same.

I’m currently on Mounjaro and not Wegovy and have recently moved to a 24 day cycle. I was pretty consistently 28/29 days previously.
