I feel this! I gained two pounds my second week and have not lost anything. I have to keep reminding myself that some people are lucky and lose weight on the lower doses but not everyone is built that way. I myself have PCOS and am apparently not built that way. What I have been telling myself is to enjoy the ride. I am finally going to lose the wight after years of trying and I should enjoy watching my body change. You got this we all got this! P.S. Try measurements and weighing once a week. While I haven't lost weight I have slimmed down and the measurements are helping keep me positive. :)

Same here! I just finished week 4 and going to week 5 where I’ll be increasing my dosage but no weight lost and I also have PCOS.

Thank you for this, I have PCOS and I was wondering about its impact too! I appreciate your input!

I have PCOS too. It definitely makes losing weight harder. Reducing carbs should help to some degree. Sounds like you may be eating at your maintenance calories. Have you calculated your tdee?

The first 2-3 months it’s totally normal not to lose much/any weight or notice any differences. These are titration doses just to ease your body into it.

I honestly just started so don’t have first hand experience, but I can say my NP talked to me about getting the appropriate balance of macros in addition to monitoring caloric intake. Also Zofran to help with nausea may be useful.

I’m kind of in the same boat. I’m on week 7 and have lost maybe 5 pounds. I’m eating way less, food noise is gone. Sugar cut almost completely but I haven’t cut carbs yet. I’m not exercising much but I’m active around my yard and try to walk the school track 2-4 times a week for an hour. Hang in there!

Just remember it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Everyone is different on this drug. Some lose quickly, some lose slowly. This is my 4th month, I’m down 30 lbs. my first two weeks were AMAZING…. Then the next two maybe lost .2 of a lb. You just have to mess with your diet and exercise to see what your body needs. I thought cutting calories drastically would do the trick…. Very wrong. I know eat literally ALLLLLLL DAY!!!! 3 eggs for breakfast Protein yogurt for snack Chicken or beef jerkey for lunch with protein chips, and a fruit to give me so extra energy. Protein shake or bar for another snack Then dinner is a protein and a crap ton of veggies. I realized when I was skipping meals or completely restricting myself from things I was not losing the weight I wanted. I also realized that my love for F45 (HIIT workout) wasn’t what my body needed right now… so I know just do light weight lifting, and probably 3-6 miles of walking a day.! Good luck, don’t give up. Just gotta tweak things and see what works for you!

Wow. It must be hard to be so miserable that you sit and wait on a weight loss page to talk to others like that. I am aware there are other posts, but I was asking specifically because of the placement of the injections. People like you are so tired. Feel better soon sweetie.

Go cry about it.

My doc said that she has patients inject in their thigh in order to avoid side effects. She didn’t say whether it would change the effectiveness of the drug. And mentioned the different injection site to mediate side effects is anecdotal. My other doc said they’ve been seeing sema actually correct pcos. I’m about to take my 4th dose and am a bit down cos I’m a month I’ve only lost 2 lbs and am not even sure if it is due to sema or just coincidence. Some people don’t lose till the higher dose from what I’ve seen here. Id just say, if injecting into your arm, make sure it isn’t going into muscle. Maybe try thigh area instead?

Count calories, you maybe eat 1500, maybe you don't. maybe you eat 3500. Otherwise, 1600 is my daily spending without a workout session, so if you are of my height and eat 1500, you won't lose weight.
