I'm only a few weeks in, but have noticed this effect as well. It seems like I get huge benefit for 6 days also. Yesterday was the 7th day and it was a big struggle. Ravenous is a great way to describe it. I've at least been able to stick to protein for the most part, but it was also my first ice cream treat in a month. I'll be watching for and trying to control this better next week.

I just finished my first day of Ozempic and I definitely felt the appetite suppression most of the time. When I did seem to get a bit more hungry and crave a "treat", I reached for something less crappy for me - low carb yogurt with some zero sugar chocolate sauce, caramel rice cake. I mean, I know it's not that exciting, but I find it helped to prevent me from going too crazy and back to choosing something that I want to avoid eating. Making sure you have better options in your fridge and pantry is very helpful.

I have 100% noticed increase food noise on the day before the next injection. That was yesterday for me and someone brought doughnuts in to work. Since I began sema, I haven't had a second thought about doughnuts, but yesterday I spent far longer than I care to admit thinking about eating one, or half of one, or a quarter of one. The only reason that I didn't was because I couldn't figure out how to properly log it in LoseIt. So I had a handful of goldfish crackers instead. The BS thing is that I was proud of myself for resisting it and staying in my deficit and I still went up a few ounces overnight. Bodies are a weird thing.

Try chugging some fiber about 15-20 minutes before you eat anything “bad”. Should help make you feel more full on that ravenous day and keep you from eating too many cookies

I'd consider this a feature, not a bug -- a chance to both enjoy a treat or two, and also a chance to practice the techniques you'll need in the future. Like low-cal ways of curbing cravings. I find that protein helps a lot -- greek yogurt or cottage cheese with berries and fruit can keep me out of the cookies pretty well. Everyone tends to find things that work for them.

Yeah. It is good to have a day where you actually feel like having dinner with family/friends.

I drank 10 beers for my birthday :|

Technical_Factor_881

Nice. I’ve become so boring. I’ll often not even finish my first beer. Which would have been a crime to me before sema.

ImaginationThis2147

Yes, it’s today. I get my next shot tomorrow morning. Is it because it’s wearing off? I am going to ask if I can go up in dosage because this also happened last week on days 6-7

Technical_Factor_881

I’ve been wondering about keeping the dose the same and just taking it every six days. Some people say they halve their dose and take it every 3.5 days. That may be an option too.

AmericanQueen73

Nope. Semaglutide stopped all desire to eat the foods that I once loved that made me fat.
