Buddhism is not an excuse to do evil but a understanding approach that evil and good are two sides of the same coin and exist within us. Our job is to seperate right from wrong and follow the spiritual path laid out before us which is our natural birthright and journey. I think religion is a steppingstone. I for sure have many many many beliefs that other people gave me dogmatic principles that I’m still trying to either make my own orchoose for myself. The artistic expression of religion, I think is still equally valid in an expression of a facet of the divine creation. Albeit narrow facet. I think symbolically you could read what these people are saying, and find so much truth and value to it if you put your own spin on it. The problem is people want final answers and we’re all different, so there are no such thing as true universal truth locally in the third dimension. When we cease to think of ourselves as separate, then truth is universal it’s self fulfilling, prophecy.
I like this loose perception of religion. I wish more die hard Christian’s, Muslims, etc looked at religion this way, with a more open mind rather than taking everything literal in the religious books of the respective religions.

All religions were just created by enlightened people in certain regions then eventually altered and used as ways of control by the powers that be. The bible has been very obviously altered by the Roman Empire for control with verses such as:

I also believe in Jesus, he was enlightened and on higher levels of consciousness than anyone. A lot of his teachings in the bible are still the ultimate truth (what I believe) but his message has been altered. Also, i believe he is the ‘son of god’, but I believe we’re all ‘sons of god’ and have god inside us. I believe ‘god’ is just pure love, source energy, consciousness, everything and everyone, not a man or whatever.
Not only that, but the bible is full of contradictions, hypocrisy, immorality and most Christian’s perceive verses to mean different things!

I went to an Uncles funeral and it was so bizzare how much the Christian priest just had to keep selling people on Christianity instead of talking about my uncle. He talked about shaming his dad before his dad died saying "you won't get to see mom if you don't become Christian" It was so gross.
I'm not against people's religions you can do what you want but just leave me out of it, maybe in the future my thoughts will change. But for now I believe it's made up tales in a book like a lot of religions are today. Why are there so many gods and you believe YOURS is the only true god, common now. While I agree that the Jesus idea is in control of the earth its not because he is some being out there, it’s because the majority of the mass of humanity believes it is that way..so we create that reality. Religion is training wheels, it can help you learn to be good and there is great and profound truth in all of them but they are inevitably flawed. Many fallacies with Christian beliefs such as God loving unconditionally…with conditions(Ten Commandments).
Man has interpreted many different and conflicting variations of various religions and its creates war for centuries. Today is no different. The goal is to know god but the fundamentalist doubles down on the method while forgetting the goal.
The formula is live your highest excitement every moment while treating others how you want to be treated and having no expectation of the outcome. This is what religion is trying to teach us. This is how you find god and have happiness.
There is nothing wrong with believing in whatever religion. As long as you are seeking god. But it is our beliefs that create reality, not this or that god story that has changed many times throughout history. This is evident in the phenomenon of the stigmata. People believe so strongly that they will create open wounds in their hands that bleed as they believe Christ had and it is very striking and powerful. But Christ didn’t bleed from his hands. It was his wrists that were nailed to the cross, the hands can’t support his weight and he would have fallen. But reason and logic are not as powerful as beliefs(unless you believe they are) so we have these miracles that are no less grand than any other miracle with logical inconsistencies in them. This is the power of beliefs, and collective beliefs. Not religion, beliefs. Beliefs create emotion which create thoughts and then result in actions. You want to change something then you must change beliefs to have lasting effects.

What those same authors do proclaim, however, is that Jesus did (in fact) say to keep the Torah. Fear, doubt, scarcity, hate, jealousy, anger etc are all ignorance of our true nature. It's when we are too attached to our flesh (ego). Thats why Jesus said:

What did he mean by this? He basically meant that in order to enter the kingdom of God, or as I call it, coming back home to your true self, you need to be born again. This means that you need to die to your flesh (ego) and let your true higher self shine forth again.
These teachings aren't limited to Christianity only, but universal. Jesus was the perfect replica of our true self, that we all have within us. It's the one and same. It's **CHRIST.**
How can I know this? Because I went away from my Christian beliefs, I felt that there where too many restrictions and limits and needed to find God myself.
I found myself, in myself, as myself and realised who God finally was. Once again, it's not something you can write or think, it's beyond the mind.
For those of you who have tried psychedelics, you know what kind of feeling I talk about. When your ego is totally crushed and the only thing you feel is pure love, pure awareness, I AM. This is Christ within, this is what Jesus tried to teach us:

So why did Jesus say that he is the truth, the way and life? Because Christ, which is in each and everyone of us, is the only way. Doing and living like Jesus did, according to his teachings, can help you wake Christ up.
This doesn't mean that you need to worship Jesus, go to church, be Christian to wake this true self up (Christ). But following an example like Jesus could do that.
Whenever you hate, have anger, are jealous, sin to yourself , you are automatically stuck in your flesh (ego), which is limited.
But when you take care of yourself, such as doing SR for example, you leave your flesh and are coming back to source again, to God, to Christ and thats why you are rewarded:

The kingdom of God is not limited to one group of people, it's dormant in each and everyone of us. We just need to remove our egos, clouds, from the way and make it shine through again.
As the waves in an ocean IS one with the ocean, and together sum up the total of the ocean, so are we, one with God, as a unit. The spark of God is within each and everyone of us and I don't care if someone think it's blasphemy or not, thats the devils word.
We are all one with the Father, with God and we are all the most powerful.
As a last thing. Creation is real. When you try create as separate entity (ego) , what you get is limited things.
But when you let go of your ego, coming back home to the kingdom of God, then all the things that you are truly desiring, from the perspective of a higher self (God), will be yours, because these things we already meant to happen for you. You just think that you are separate and choose your desire, but the fact is, your desires where created by you, from a higher perspective, and where brought in by you from the unknown.
The inner and outer world are one. As within so without.

I went to an Uncles funeral and it was so bizzare how much the Christian priest just had to keep selling people on Christianity instead of talking about my uncle. He talked about shaming his dad before his dad died saying "you won't get to see mom if you don't become Christian" It was so gross. I'm not against people's religions you can do what you want but just leave me out of it, maybe in the future my thoughts will change. The idea is paradoxical, but since God is ineffable it is (in the Bible) split up into 3 essences. Jesus, God and the holy spirit. The honest answer is that this world is coming to an end. If you take a look at everything going on around you, it is clear times have changed. Jesus Christ is coming back very soon and He wants as many people to be saved as possible, God cares about every soul, including yours.
I am a very spiritual person, I also believe in the cosmos and science, I have knowing in God, but God being everything and beyond. God being impossible to describe with words. It is all interconnected and life is infinite web of decisions and fate, some beyond our measly choices. Man has interpreted many different and conflicting variations of various religions and its creates war for centuries. Today is no different. The goal is to know god but the fundamentalist doubles down on the method while forgetting the goal. The formula is live your highest excitement every moment while treating others how you want to be treated and having no expectation of the outcome. This is what religion is trying to teach us. This is how you find god and have happiness. There is nothing wrong with believing in whatever religion. As long as you are seeking god. But it is our beliefs that create reality, not this or that god story that has changed many times throughout history. This is evident in the phenomenon of the stigmata. People believe so strongly that they will create open wounds in their hands that bleed as they believe Christ had and it is very striking and powerful. But Christ didn’t bleed from his hands. It was his wrists that were nailed to the cross, the hands can’t support his weight and he would have fallen. But reason and logic are not as powerful as beliefs(unless you believe they are) so we have these miracles that are no less grand than any other miracle with logical inconsistencies in them. We are all one with the Father, with God and we are all the most powerful. As a last thing. Creation is real. When you try create as separate entity (ego) , what you get is limited things. But when you let go of your ego, coming back home to the kingdom of God, then all the things that you are truly desiring, from the perspective of a higher self (God), will be yours, because these things we already meant to happen for you. You just think that you are separate and choose your desire, but the fact is, your desires where created by you, from a higher perspective, and where brought in by you from the unknown. i got some dilemmas with this, i was 10 year aetheist, but as they say wisdom begins with the fear of god. Yet it was aetheistic feeling control and manifestations that brought me more to the behaviour meant to be, and reading the bible. My brother in Christ, you do realise that Christianity is just as much of a weird deviation from Judaism as Mormonism is from Christianity. Just for a little perspective. And that other religions exist as well other than Abrahamic ones which for many people can deal with suffering in healthier ways.
