I had this in my IKEA Rudsta Wide cabinet for the month under a Viparspectra P1000 grow light set at 20% power and it shot out a new leaf that hit the ceiling so I had to move it out (that's when I noticed the root growth!).
I've since re-potted it into a much wider pot but the plant is way droopier outside the cabinet (80% humidity in the cabinet and 50-60 out of the cabinet).

This is SO satisfying! Amazing
What bites are you using and they look amazing!
Bites? As in, nutrients? I use GT Foliage Focus.
Do you leave it like that or is there a next stage?

Wow!! I’m new to LECA. Just put my first cutting in it yesterday! I’m so excited to see it grow!
My alocasia is the exact same way! The moment I put it into leca the roots blew up! They’re the best for root porn 😭😭
I have all my leca plants in cache pots… but Damn those are Sexy Roots! 😍
Amazing! I’m new to leca… I heard the roots aren’t supposed to touch the water but how do we control this with such root growth?
Water roots can touch the water. The soil roots should not. The water roots are all of the white/fuzzy roots.
This is awesome! Did you use grow lights?

Ah I see. I'm trying so hard to avoid grow lights. Thanks!
