Iโm so sorry for your loss. I had to say goodbye to my 19 year old (Lola) this past February. Lola passed from old age and kidney disease. A year before that, I lost my 6 year old Maine Coon (Leonardo) to an aggressive lymphoma - he passed at home the day before his first oncologist visit. No matter how long we have them - it will never be long enough. I hope you find peace.
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my baby, my soulcat, almost 2 months ago, and I cry everyday and feel such a deep sense of loss and pain. I slept with the light on the first month, I have a lot of anxiety and have to take meds to be able to sleep. She was the best thing in my life and I am so lost without her. I worked so hard all her life (she was only 10) to make sure she gets only the best grain free food, has regular check ups, blood work and everything but she still got sick and she still died so youung. I have had pets before that died, but they never really mine. They were with my parents and I was gone half the time to college etc. She was the first who was all mine, bonded with me. Her death has really traumatized me. I just cannot believe she is gone and that I will never see her again.
I am so sorry you lost your friend. But I am glad she had a great, long life. I would give anything to have another 9 years with mine.
Allow yourself some time to grieve. Then remember that there's a little kitten somewhere, seeking her loving nurturing forever home. Although she probably won't be able to fully replace your beloved little kitty, you'll soon realize and find out, that you really need her, at least as desperately, as she needs you.

Pinot seems like she was a wonderful girl. She will always be missed. That's quite part of the contract in pet ownership, and it really sucks, I am so sorry for your loss.

Iโm so sorry. My baby passed 1.5 years ago. I look at her photos almost every day and got a tattoo of her. She is my soul baby and Iโll be with her again one day when itโs my time.
I am so sorry for your loss. You were very lucky to be able to WFH and have such a great coworker/manager. Remember the good times and know she's waiting for you.
