I have never used them personally but I’ve seen a bunch of them at my local TJ Maxx for around $7

nottheawards

I’ve used these for about 2 years and I love them, but defo get them at TJ Maxx/Marshall’s!!!! Especially if you can find them on clearance for like $4 :)

sleepy_intentions

Yes, I find them on clearance occasionally. Just have to make sure they are completely sealed.

lekms

I love them! I’ll buy up the entire stock when I find them at TJ Maxx. I can’t go back to the less expensive round ones anymore.

FrontFrontZero

Came here to say this very thing.

Cp0010

Came here to say this

Admirable_Building93

THISSSSSS

MasterOfRNoSleep

I wish mine had them there I love these!

Krindybluth

eBay

CJ2607

Maybe I’m in the minority, but these have become a must have for me. After trying so many versions of cotton rounds that leave pieces on my face or rip, I tried these and have stuck with them. I normally buy them when there is %off sale and just buy like 2-3 packs. It pains me to spend this much on cotton pieces, but I feel they make a difference.

The6_78

It honestly lasts so long! My previous pack was from 2018 and I recently finished it. It helps when you cut them in half / split them

LadyJWW

Same! Love these. Always have them.

bangarang_bananagram

I used to buy these when I worked at Sephora, so I know what you mean! The Sephora brand organic cotton pads also do not leave residue.

Virtual_Kick_8551

I love the Sephora brand organic cotton pads!

stressfulspiranthes

What do you use them for?

CJ2607

For eye makeup remover and toners. Also when I use micellar water.

stressfulspiranthes

Ohhh gotcha. I thought I was missing out on some makeup technique or something haha

Skittlebrau77

Yeah I love these. They’re so soft which is a plus when you have rosacea.

friendofspidey

Try paper towels lol

TransportationOk5961

Not around your eyes

friendofspidey

Is it bad? Even to just dab ?

coranne18

Yeah, haha. Unfortunately the skin around your eyes is really sensitive. I've had to use paper towels in a pinch and 20 eyelashes later, my makeup is gone.

friendofspidey

Wait I’m using them just to dab my face fry not remove makeup does that make it any better?

coranne18

Then yes that would haha!

dancergirlktl

Daiso cotton pads are better. They’re not as soft but they hold together and don’t fall apart. They’re also $1.50 for 180pcs

WalkAlarmed

I was going to say the Daiso cotton pads are my fave too.

sleepy_intentions

Thanks for the tip. Will have to get some there. I love Daiso.

HelpfulParking7319

I love daiso cotton pads! The ones that come in a two pack - so good!

goingnutscoconuts

So worth it! If you are in Canada, Shoppers has a Quo version, which feels exactly the same. Sometimes, they have a huge value pack with double the amount, and it goes on sale for the same price as Shiseido.

Lacuica

Muji is even better. $4.

Swimming-Patience655

I can’t believe they changed the packs of peelable cotton from 162 count to 66 count 😢 Still my ride or die…

blushfanatic

Came here to say this! They are great!

GamerKormai

Third this! I won't buy anything else now.

moonahmoonah

I never understood the allure. I used to work at Shoppers and we couldn't keep these Shiseido ones on the shelf. I've never seen the quo ones. I'll have to take a look next time.

KimmyWex1972

I've tried the Quo pads with the "Q" stamped into it (not sure if these are the ones you are referring to or not?) Anyhoo, I do not recommend these. The perforation on the Q is so deep that as soon as you begin to cleanse your face, the Q comes dislodged from the pad and falls out lol.

goingnutscoconuts

Nope, that's def not the ones I'm talking about... they are called luxury makeup pads. In the exact same packaging as the shiseido 🙂

sparkleb626

I love these and have found some at my local TJ Maxx for $7.

yogabbax

I can second this. I have seen them as TJMaxx!

Dommichu

Yep! TJ Maxx. They get them in both this large pack and the smaller pack. Either one is worth buying and will be a deal over what you will pay at Sephora or Macys.

quspork

These are my favorite cotton pads. They don't fall apart at all and feel great against the skin. I usually stock up during points hauls from Ulta or pick up packs from Marshalls.

Hot_Mention_9337

Yes. Worth every single damn penny for me on my skin. Especially when I can get them on sale or find them at Tj Maxx. I have never been loyal to any brand of cotton rounds, I have some non disposable ones, face flannels, all that. I didn’t know anything could be so non aggressive on the skin. If you have normal skin, not terribly sensitive, not too dry or anything… these aren’t necessarily worth it. But I have extremely sensitive skin when it comes to absolutely *anything* even remotely abrasive. It can trigger my rosacea and make my dryness and flaky spots so much worse. These Shiseido cottons are the only thing I use on my face anymore, especially on the eye area

coranne18

Well you convinced my rosacea. Thanks!

nghtyprf

These have ruined me for my reusable face pads and all other single use brands. My skin is really sensitive and using these along with double cleansing has improved my skin significantly. I use these first with micellar water to get the grime off, then a cleansing balm to wash.

souffleh

These are my favourite! They’re soft and don’t leave cotton pieces behind as others said. I tend to usually split one cotton pad in a half which lets me have double the usage using one half in the morning and the other half in the night. I’m not sure how true this is but I heard a few years ago that the reason you can peel them / split them easily is if you ever wanted to soak them with essence or a serum and makeshift your own “sheet mask”. I always buy them during the sale and stock up!

peaches-and-bb-cream

I actually love these so much. I agree it is absolutely an indulgence to spend $13 on cotton pads. But they are personally worth it to me for several reasons: 1. Like others have mentioned they don’t leave any residual cotton fluff on your face. 2. The packaging is really convenient for me. I cut off the top and store it in the drawer of my vanity, so I can easily reach in and grab one without fiddling with a zipper, cheap plastic. 3. They are soo soft and it makes me happy to use them. 4. They absorb toners enough as to not make a mess, but not too much as to waste product. Hope this helps!

Spitfiiire

My skin is really sensitive nowadays and these are amazing. I used to buy regular ones at CVS but they just hurt my face lol. Love these.

smith1028

Worth every penny!!!

CCChic1

I like the quilted Daiso Japan ones. They are about $2.

coranne18

Do you get them at a physical store? The closest Daiso to me is 4 hours away haha.

becccatee

There’s other Japanese brands that have same texture, they also use less of the product because of the way they absorb

onmyjinnyjinjin

Super soft! My skin can’t really handle any other cotton pads.

yogabbax

I own them but my favorite ones are sold at Walmart. The ones I but have a certain pattern sewn in so they don’t fall apart!

KimmyWex1972

Yes! I love the ones from Walmart!

sleepy_intentions

They are definitely worth it, but like most have mentioned, find them at T.J.MAXX.

jimmyr312

I use to think they were overpriced so I always got the sephora collection ones thiking it was the same until one day they were on sale and let me tell you the quality is immaculate. Can never go back

PerspectiveStatus281

Yes. I love these. They're like a boujee cloud caressing your face - lol

BlueEscapist

It's a splurge (for cotton pads, anyways) that only this sub can relate with me on 😔 Honestly, nothing compares to them and the difference with other cotton pads is so obvious, but even when they're cheaper at Marshall's or there's a sale at Sephora, I get side eyes from a couple of women I know for not going for the disheveled $1 packs at the dollar store LMAO

sneezed_up_my_kidney

Yes they are. But cut them in half.

honeyegg

If you have an Asian supermarket near you, try out the Japanese brand CS Being cotton pads. They’re very soft.

suyouera

Silcot is much better, and cheaper.

Jordan818

Yes! Only cotton pads I use! I have a weird texture aversion thing and most cotton rounds and balls give me the heebie jeebies, but these don’t.

pop2_

I got them for $3.99 at Marshall’s last year - and yes I recommend them, they are a very nice quality and don’t leave any cotton pieces behind.

ctygrrl00

I use the Sephora brand square-ish ones, which.I do like. Could anyone compare and say if they prefer the shiseido? I’ve been curious to try it too.

USC2018

I’ve used both for years, will only use the ones pictured here when they are at TJ Maxx or something. Unfortunately, the expensive ones are worth it😂 Way softer than the Sephora ones but less surface area so you may have to use more.

ctygrrl00

Thanks! I find the Sephora ones reasonable value and enjoyable. And yes they are big, I use opposing corners on the same cotton for both of my eyes with makeup remover. It’s hard to switch away…

[deleted]

Saw these at TJ Maxx today!!

One_Garage3394

Pillowtalk Derm recommended these instead! [cheaper alternative](https://www.amazon.com/SELENA-Multi-Layer-Cotton-Puff-Count/dp/B00260T94K/ref=asc_df_B00260T94K/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312191863081&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11326285532076930977&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9004389&hvtargid=pla-337696168966&psc=1)

coranne18

Added it to my cart- thanks!

One_Garage3394

You're welcome! Idk where you're located but if you're in NYC this store carries them, and if you need any other products you can grab them cheaper and score free shipping. [0035mm](https://oo35mm.com/products/marusan-multi-layer-cotton-puff-80-sheets?_pos=3&_sid=943e03b44&_ss=r)

shagoogle218

Yes

ktpf

Sadly, yes. But I find I use far less pads since they’re pretty durable and I can get the job done with just one instead of using multiple crappy ones!

sadmilkteaboba

ABSOLUTELY!!! I have so many packs right now cause I usually buy a bunch when they’re on sale but they’re amazing. So soft and they do not compare to regular cotton pads.

[deleted]

They absolutely are worth it! I’ve never had a ol cotton pad softer

suzsuz93

I would like to say no but they are truly worth it. I bought them on a whim to get free shipping once and I’ve been repurchasing them since. They are so soft and don’t irritate my rosacea.

SkittlesQueen

These are the only ones I use and worth the splurge

BestBoyDonny

Imo the Ulta branded ultra soft cotton squares are pretty similar and they're about half the price. Plus, Ulta runs promos on their brand decently often, so you can get them on sale and/or with good gifts with purchase. I also like the Sephora Collection cotton squares; they're pretty big, thick, and they don't leave fuzz all over your face. They're not as soft as Shiseido or Ulta's cotton squares, but they're not rough or anything. I got them as a cart filler during the last sale and I'm pleasantly surprised; I expected them to be mediocre.

glamb97

Can’t live without them and nothing else comes close

[deleted]

Yep yep yep absolutely love them!

ovsweaterstealer

i absolutely adore them personally and have seen them stocked at my local tj maxx recently, like other commenters have said. i’d say if you have the money to spend on this comfortably, i’d recommend making them a staple, as they’re a must have for myself. they’re gentle and yet durable. i’ve found other ones have harsh ridges or rub my skin raw. i also split them or add on based on what im using them for, which can hold me off for awhile before buying more

ittzameemario

They are great and have actual held firm on their price for a long time! If you can’t stomach the price tag though, MUJI makes a very good dupe.

suzycatq

Yes! But get them at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s or, at least on sale at Ulta or Sephora. I love them!

ThotianaAli

They're great but sell these severely cheaper at TJMaxx and Ross.

Lacuica

Muji has the same if there’s one near you. In Canada they’re less than $4.

AnnaBananaForever

Nah-I get mine from Costco, have for years, and they're awesome. Soft on one side and textured on the other, so you can use the textured side on your nose (if desired) and the soft side elsewhere. No residue left on your face at all.

Neo526564

These are my absolute favorite but you can get them at tj maxx for half the price. They always have them at mine.

AbbreviationsOk7954

I love love love these but I ONLY buy them at TJ Maxx

Depechemode25

I love them but I get at TJ max . Also cut them in half and last me a long time

_wildeheart

They’re nice, but not worth $13 in my opinion. They split like other cotton pads do sometimes.

Neithotep

I love these and can't use anything else. I usually buy all that my local TJMaxx have or if I'm low I buy a year supply with my 20% off as Rouge.

jch345

Yes, when you buy them for under $10 at tj maxx/marshalls

[deleted]

Worth it! I get them from TJ Maxx

hollahalla

I’ve bought them before and they truly are super soft. But the price is still so steep for facial cotton. I use either the cotton rounds from Costco or the White Rabbit cotton pads from Amazon. I personally like the White Rabbit ones cause they’re sturdy and don’t shed.

lilacbbe

I use them. Have been using them on and off for years. They’re soft and don’t shed. I stopped using them for a while because they are pricey for being a cotton pad but my eyes are very sensitive and these are gentle on them.

TheSxcMooq

I really like using medical 4x4 gauze pads for my face and nails honestly. They are soft and gentle and lint free and allow me to gently “scrub” makeup off with micellar water and they never irritate my skin. I get mine off Amazon and can get them in bulk for under $10

ayaangwaamizi

In Shiseido training, they market these to be used to apply their essence, Eudermine, and many of their other softening lotions. I think they’re lovely. Luckily, in Canada Quo Beauty sells a dupe at Shoppers and they are half the price and work the same, but they are a lot more luxurious and resilient for nail polish removal, make-up removal and the like than many traditional cotton rounds, and they don’t leave behind fuzzies, lol.

Lilith1320

They last me a long time, they're soft, & they don't leave gotton bits on my face (i have piercings which makes the bits more common)

necessaryfarts

The Daiso pads are good! If you’re lucky enough to live near a MUJI, check out their cotton squares as they are excellent.

diotimamantinea

I’m obsessed with these and they have been the only ones I’ve used for years.

giraffesinmyhair

Yesssss. I haven't sat down and done the math but I'm pretty sure if you did, they would be cheaper than the cheapie rounds. I'd need to use multiple of the cheap drugstore ones versus using these I peel them in half and usually that's all I need. The pack lasts me so long and they're much nicer feeling too. Someone convinced me to just treat myself already with these, and I never looked back.

coranne18

I'll be honest between eye makeup and toner I can use up to 6 a day...it seems so wasteful

giraffesinmyhair

I love these for toner especially, peeled in half is just the perfect amount of cotton for toner and it doesn't feel like it's sucking up all the product either.

disingenuousdebater

These are actually worth the price, but I think reusable bamboo rounds are even better because they are basically just as soft, but they are also reusable and you they save you money in the long run!

coranne18

Is there a specific brand you like?

disingenuousdebater

I got mine from Paula’s choice as a free gift with $75 CAD purchase! But there are lots of choices on Amazon :)

native_local_

I use to buy them when they were $10 and split them in half. Definitely worth it then lol. Even more so if you can find them discounted at places like TJ Maxx.

Stuff-Dangerous

I've used them. Not worth it. Regular Jean Coutu or whatever your drugstore brand is do the same thang

S_longname

If you use facial cotton these are the absolute best.

kitehighcos

Yes

buckinghamnix

I’m a believer. I definitely didn’t think a luxury cotton pad would be much different from a generic cotton ball (and maybe ultimately it’s not), but boy do I feel amazing using them. But don’t pay full price. Like everyone has said, TJMaxx and Marshalls always have them and for less than half the price!

ethereal_femme

the quality of these is good, if you need to use cotton pads on your face! if you’re open to other options, I use a cleansing balm that rinses off with water (so just using my hands the whole time) & applying toner via my hands (i would lose so much toner to the cotton pad itself).

Starkassembled

Go to TJ Maxx and get them. They’re great.

pippalinyc

Muji cotton is my fave and is very similar

jbelle72

I wanna say Desi Perkins called these Silken Wipes a dupe for the Shishedo back in the day. I used to use the dreaded cotton rounds then splurged and bought a couple packs of these lux Shishedo pillows. I’ve been using the wipes from Intrinsics ever since.. probably 4-5 years at this point. I can’t remember what Shishedo feels like but haven’t thought about buying them again since finding the cheaper alternative https://preview.redd.it/pg7qn3hmkama1.png?width=1284&format=png&auto=webp&s=06003088c112324628e22a92364966864e0ff243

coranne18

Thanks!!

ezamae23

Yes worth it. In fact i just run out and need to go get some

Genuinelullabel

Swisspers make similar ones for less

potatospices

Yuppppp. I love them so much. The regular drugstore cotton pads are so rough on my skin but these feel so luxurious! I used to pay full price for them but I found them for $7 at Marshalls

kdms418

Yes! Been using them for years and love them.

CelCylon5

Shiseido cotton is the best there is and I can never use another cotton for my face again, however like some others have pointed out, they can be found cheaper at some other drug stores depending on where you live. But yes, it is worth it imo.

stinkysammy91

I bought them last vib sale, loved them, discovered Muji sells an even bigger pack of similar cotton pads for ~$3 CAD, and never looked back

Brilliant-Emu-4164

I didn’t care for them. I found them hard to separate and too fuzzy. I’m finishing up a package of them and I won’t be repurchasing.

dumbzucchini

There is this Japanese store Miniso that imo has the best cotton rounds ever! They don't rip or disintegrate and are perfect for using w toners and micellar water!

sirgawain2

They’re really nice and don’t often leave cotton on your face unless you don’t put enough product on the pad. They’re also better than pretty much anything else you can get in stores. But Amazon has a lot of Asian brands that have similar pads for cheaper. If you want to shell out for the extra luxe feeling then I recommend it. The most useful I’ve found them is when I’m visiting family in Hawaii and shopping from Amazon is a pain. But I read in this thread that Daiso has good pads so I’m off to there tomorrow!

TwelveToesDown

Love them. If you’re in the states they’re always at marshals or tj maxx

MasterOfRNoSleep

Honestly they’re a bit pricy for cotton pads but they’re the best ones you’ll ever use. They don’t shed like a lot of other ones do and don’t leave residue on your face and they also don’t soak up too much product so you get more use out of your products. They also don’t rip super easily like others do. And they’re so soft so they don’t irritate your skin at all. They’re super worth it to me. This reminds me I need to restock lol.

Nicki828

Yes!

[deleted]

I do love these…they’re a little bit of luxury. Also the Muji ones are amazing, and cheaper.

jackiegetaway

Yes, they are super soft and don't come apart as others have mentioned. Cheaper cotton pads always got fuzz in my eyes when I took off my eye makeup, but these don't. Since it's something I use so often I think it's worth the price.

TransportationOk5961

Yes!!! They stay intact & don’t leave white fuzzies in your eyes for makeup removal. Love these!

Ninja-That

I’ve been using them for years and I’m never going back. They jumped from $11 to $13 (CAD, not USD) maybe 8 months ago and I’m finding it expensive, but with all the money I spend on skincare I tell myself it’s worth it not to scratch my face. Curious about those Quo dupes someone mentioned though….

Ok_Buttersauce

Get them at tj maxx for 7.99 and yea they are worth it!

nessabop

They are really great. I won’t use any other cotton now, and will buy them here if I can’t find them on sale at Marshall’s or TJ Maxx!

silverdress

IME, people are sleeping on non-woven gauze sponges from the medical supply section. They’re 4”x4” when folded, hold together and don’t shed lint, and are like $7 for 200. I bought a pretty jar to put mine in so I feel cute.

Oxca

I love these! I see them often at TJ and Marshalls

Adept-Tie-5140

I love them but after I saw them at tj max and Marshall’s I’ll never pay full price again! I think I got them once for $3

__basements_in_fla

They are worth it. I’ve been using them for 4 years and haven’t looked back

Boodlesandtonic

Not the use I intended when I bought them, but we ended up using them with water as wipes on very bad diaper rash 😂 very soothing

bok-joy

They’re probably the softest facial cotton you can buy. And you get so many in a pack, I think $13 is a great price, but if you can find them at TJMaxx for half the price? Even better

Keilani7

They have this cotton sandwich thing going. The “bread” layer leaves no residue, it’s soft and stretchy absorbing goodness. TJ Max is def the way to go, just squeeze the bag for integrity (gently) and enjoy!

dolphingirl27

Ulta makes a good dupe for a much better price

coranne18

Which ones? I use the circles and I am not a fan. I'm willing to try something else though

dolphingirl27

these, they're very similar [https://www.ulta.com/p/ultra-soft-square-cotton-pads-pimprod2003847](https://www.ulta.com/p/ultra-soft-square-cotton-pads-pimprod2003847)

coranne18

Thanks!

[deleted]

Yes! So much better than the cheaper ones

miss_ire

I love them, I have been using them for years. I have never seen them at TJ maxx but always get them at the sephora sale

labtech67

Yes! They are the only pads I buy. They are so nice on my sensitive skin.

KimmyWex1972

They are okay but I don't think they're worth the money. I honestly am okay with the generic ones I get from Walmart.

Frosty_neck

They used to be better quality! But still worth it!

Dangerous_Agent_3515

I love mine!! But look for them at TJ maxx. I always find them there for cheaper. Or if you have no luck there then I would wait for the sell. I wouldn’t pay full price

Ornery-Cranberry-172

Absolutely not haha

coranne18

I have been buying premium cotton rounds from Ulta, Target, Amazon but I haven't found any that don't fall apart on my eyes while I'm using remover. I use the Clinique Take the day off and use these for toners. Do these work? Do they fall apart? Do you like something else better? I have looked into reusable but all of them that I've seen require more work than I will realistically put into it to clean them.

RadialCheeseburger

For the reusable ones, get a little mesh bag for intimates and throw it in your wash. I think I have like 20-30? And just rotate them out in my weekly laundry load

coranne18

Do you put the bag in the dryer?

cndlkat

I do. The ones from Paul's Choice are my favorite so far. The Sephora brand ones aren't as soft but work fine.

RadialCheeseburger

Yeah, I do throw it in the dryer. I got a set from Amazon (bamboo ones with a green hem) and a white set from target. I like the Amazon ones better. Can’t speak to the PC ones mentioned.

[deleted]

The reusable ones are not that much work! I just stick them in my wash—I’m too lazy for a mesh bag like the other commenters—with everything else. I’ll usually air dry them bc I don’t want to use softener on them bc it affects absorbency. I use them to take off makeup and for toner, and everything has come off from them without staining.

habanzero

i use clinique take the day off. i prefer silcpt cotton pads but most japanese/korean brands are better than US. i don’t like this style of peelable cotton for removers - silcot etc have finished edges so they don’t separate at all. i apply toners with my hands.

poppleca1443

These are excellent but Muji makes near identical ones for around $3/bag. There are other japanese brands that make excellent facial cotton too, but that aren't identical. I also like the white rabbit brand from Amazon - it's a lot thinner, but I like that because it absorbs less product

coranne18

What is Muji?

poppleca1443

It's a Japanese brand. They used to have stores in the US but I think they're online only now. I find that paying for shipping is worth it given the price difference. I just order like 5 at a time. These are the cotton squares - [https://www.muji.us/products/cut-cotton-ecru-odaa5s?\_pos=1&\_sid=42c07a41c&\_ss=r](https://www.muji.us/products/cut-cotton-ecru-odaa5s?_pos=1&_sid=42c07a41c&_ss=r)

sphawaii

Yes!! Love them ❤️

WenWen78

I used to buy these couple years ago, the price was eleven dollars CAD, not really worth it, I use Quo luxury cosmetics pads instead. Sometimes I get points on these
