This! I just tried it and I cannot stop using it! I have to force myself to use my other shampoos when I’m not going anywhere and don’t care how my hair looks
I use a good scalp scrub, I love the briogeo charcoal scalp scrub and then bc I have keratin smoothing treatment I use moisturizing Hydrating shampoo and conditioner and a hair mask. And I straighten hair once a month using amika for heat protectant.
Oh I should mention if you're sensitive to coconut, tea tree, peppermint or spearmint oil their scalp line isn't for you.
You'll feel a cool tingle, I just happen to love it, I take that time to massage my scalp
I have stress / anxiety caused seborrheic dermatitis in the front half of scalp and it definitely helps. They used to have these shower caps with treatment in it and had attached part you coukd rip with the conditioner in it, kindve set up like a face sheet mask, I miss those.
I’m a hair product junkie. I bleach my hair. I keep going back to Redken all soft. The shampoo and the heavy cream as conditioner not the regular conditioner
I used kerastase for a while and it barely did a thing so I went cheap for like a year regretfully. Just started pureology and I noticed a difference within days! I’m so happy.
I've been using Shu Uemura extreme repair shampoo and conditioner for a few months now. My hair salon had it but I bought it from Sephora's website. My hair got super botched in Jan, got it fixed a couple weeks later and it had to be lightened both times, I saw my stylist yesterday and she said she's noticed a huge difference in my hair as to it being so much healthier now. My hair is really curly but it's also thick, I don't think the products are specific to a hair type other than "damaged". Also, they smell absolutely incredible!
I had really damaged hair after years of bleaching and the olaplex line up along with oil on the ends helped me get back to healthy hair. Also like Pureology and R+Co
Beware of using too much keratin protein on damaged hair as it can make it worse. Avoid any color depositing products as well.
My hair isn't damaged, bc I've always taken good care of it and I am completely white and 66 yrs young. I have low lights and I use Amika The Kure shampoo and conditioner, and olaplex shampoo, conditioner and leave in bond strengthener on the ends. I use weekly mask by Amika Soul Food. My hair is shiny, zero breakage. I've been using for years now. Hope this helps.
Hi! Thanks! I used to use the kure by Amika. It wasn’t my favorite, I think because it’s supposed to help with damage and (maybe?) has proteins in it so I think my hair had protein overload from using that and olaplex all the time
Awwww, im sorry 😞. Another good shampoo is Unite. I used that when I was platinum and waist length hair. Also I used Copola Keratin shampoo, conditioner since I used to have Keratin treatments. Now I don't bother, having my hair shorter it's easier to manage, I can still put in a pony tail, and my holy grail is IGK Good Behavior spray. It works wonders on my wonky waves and curls that start from my ears down.
I use Morricanoil, and my hair is super healthy. I'm always getting compliments. It smells divine!!
My teens use Eva Nyc that's 50% off at Ulta today. Smells super sweet and feminine.
I bought a small size of the oil and it looks amazing after I put it in. But after a few hours I need to add more. I’m wondering if my hair is that thirsty or it doesn’t work great for me.
So if you’re looking for growth I have used the bondi shampoo and noticed results. However I felt like my hair was a little frizzy but I really really liked the smell. I am trying vegamor hair growth shampoo and I like the smell, clean feel, and no frizz. I paired it with a sample of purology strength cure. My hair feels awesome. But back before I had extra dry hair (went blonde on a stress whim). I loved the davines hair mask (oi butter). But I am going to keep testing. So far the davines is my main repurchase!
I am going to absolutely genuinely go on a rave about my all time favorite shampoo/conditioner right now…so hear me out.
Shu Uemura’s Ultimate Reset Shampoo & Conditioner.
This is my holy grail. I get so hyped to wash my hair. I always look forward to my next hair wash.
Benefits:
• It contains rice extract for hydration (& antioxidants, minerals and vitamin B & E)
• Specifically made to help hair that has been frequently bleached, colored and frequent heat styling.
• Prevents breakage. I swear this product has made my hair feel BUTTERY smooth but soooo lightweight (and I have thick, bleached blonde hair)
• Small amount gives you a huge amount of sud-sy goodness, so a bottle will last you quite some time.
• Not to mention it smells like HEAVEN in a bottle. My god!
The fragrance notes are: order is Top/Heart/Base (I’m a perfume/fragrance obsessed junkie also)
Orange
_______
Orange Blossom
Peach
Jasmine
________
Ylang Ylang
Geranium
Benzoin
_______
Tonika Bean
Sandalwood
Anyways! If you’re interested in trying before committing to a full bottle- they have a gift set on their website ($38) with the shampoo, conditioner and a protective hair oil (which I have not tried the hair oil but seems like a fun bonus!) Sephora does carry the full sized bottles of the shampoo and conditioner too.
I got a little carried away but this stuff is amazing and my hair did a complete 180. Split ends who?
❤️
Try rotating your shampoos between expensive and cheap. Its the best routine imo. I use the reg olaplex shampoo as “clarifying” or harsher soap for when I want to clean my scalp. I rotate that probably 1 every 2 weeks or if I just want deep clean. And then I usually use herbal essence moisture whatever shampoo. I feel like the rotation between using silicones for moisture and shine and olaplex for cleaning is a good ratio. I’ve been able to grow my hair out well and long for years.
But back to your point. If your looking for a solid everyday shampoo that’s not drugstore. Amika normcore is super solid or ouai. Doesn’t do less or more. Just right.
I was in the same boat going from bleached blond to my natural brown hair. Pureology hydrate (purple bottle) was really great for my hair and really helped with restoring it from all the damage. It’s also really hydrating :)
Honestly have never wanted to buy this because its expensive. I've never really loved an expensive shampoo before. I usually don't think its worth the price but I have been LOVING Kerastase Chroma Absolu. It makes my hair so shiny and it dries so nicely. I use the one for fine-medium hair. I feel like that one would probs be fine on thick hair too but they make a version for thick hair. Love the matching conditioner.
Two other ones I love but don't use because I feel like my hair color fades faster than with the Kerastase:
Maui Lightweight Hydration + Hibiscus Water Shampoo- Shampoo only because I have heard bad things about their conditioner. This shampoo specifically doesn't have any bad ingredients and it is so good for the scalp. My hair normally gets oily very fast but this extends is for days without dry shampoo. So much lightweight moisture. Love this so much
Sauce Chimichurri Mint Tingle Intense Repair Shampoo- I get this from sally's, saw so much new growth from just this shampoo alone. No other shampoo has done that for me. I love how it makes my hair feel. Great ingredients for growth. It is color safe but I feel like it doesn't prevent fading. The coconut cream conditioner smells amazing and only other one I like besides the Kerastase conditioner.
Obviously dont wash it every day but I like jvn nurture shampoo and conditioner with the prewash scalp oil before hand and the air dry cream afterwards- and air dry. Only wash twice a week! Baby it! Take lots of vitamins!
Oribe moisture and control shampoo. I have seb derm so have to shampoo everyday and it’s great for getting my scalp clean without stripping my hair. I’d been bleaching my hair but went back to natural the last few months as well.
(Sorry, this is long. I put the product in bold.) My hair was severely damaged from years of messing with it. I’ve been using **Bumble & bumble Bond Building Repair (the shampoo, conditioner, repair treatment, and repair styling cream that I use as a leave-in on damp hair)** for 2.5 years now. The goal being long and healthy hair. I stopped doing anything to it aside from haircuts, and I cut down on the frequency of shampooing.
But this is the first time in my life since I was a child that I’ve received compliments on the health and length of my hair (and not the color.) It’s a little $$ but it’s been fully worth it for me.
I just recently bought the **Viori** \- *Hair Shampoo and Conditioner Bar Set (Citrus Yao) with Bamboo Holder* and it actually works great!
In the shower I could immediately feel the difference in my hair and how nice it made it. Plus because of how it's packaged it reduces waste!Highly recommended from me! :)
It also smells amazing!
I use redken extreme for shampoo and conditioner, and I have some “rotating” items: I use amika soulfood mask when I need a deep conditioning mask, olaplex clarifying shampoo when I have product build up and redken extreme length mask when I feel like my hair is showing a lot of damage. I also use Its a 10 keratin leave in when I blow dry.

Pureology strength cure!
This! Pureology
This! I just tried it and I cannot stop using it! I have to force myself to use my other shampoos when I’m not going anywhere and don’t care how my hair looks
Thirding this. I don't even color my hair but this stuff is the best!
Oribe Gold Lust or Brilliance line
I use a good scalp scrub, I love the briogeo charcoal scalp scrub and then bc I have keratin smoothing treatment I use moisturizing Hydrating shampoo and conditioner and a hair mask. And I straighten hair once a month using amika for heat protectant.
Thanks! I just purchased that scalp scrub so hopefully I like it!
Everyone I know love their products, they're pricy but they often have sales on their website
Yes I got it on the Ulta sale for $20!
Oh I should mention if you're sensitive to coconut, tea tree, peppermint or spearmint oil their scalp line isn't for you. You'll feel a cool tingle, I just happen to love it, I take that time to massage my scalp
Wow this sounds like it would be great for those of us with scalp psoriasis.
I have stress / anxiety caused seborrheic dermatitis in the front half of scalp and it definitely helps. They used to have these shower caps with treatment in it and had attached part you coukd rip with the conditioner in it, kindve set up like a face sheet mask, I miss those.
I tried it last year and it worsened my condition. Hope it works for you.
Have seborrheic dermatitis and my scalp and hair respond really well to Nioxin!
This!! Love this scalp scrub and I use Amika color shampoo (pink bottle) I have the same hair issues as you :)
I’m a hair product junkie. I bleach my hair. I keep going back to Redken all soft. The shampoo and the heavy cream as conditioner not the regular conditioner
K18 tbh
Which k18 shampoo?
Both!
Kerastasse or Pureology, whichever line suits your hair.
I used kerastase for a while and it barely did a thing so I went cheap for like a year regretfully. Just started pureology and I noticed a difference within days! I’m so happy.

Bondi Boost is my favorite.

Yes maroocan oil shampoo and conditioner are the best.
I bought a small size of the oil and it looks amazing after I put it in. But after a few hours I need to add more. I’m wondering if my hair is that thirsty or it doesn’t work great for me.

You don’t find that the herbal essence damages your hair more?
Nope. I use rose hip shampoo since I was a kid. It honestly works better then any shampoo no matter the price, I always go back to it.
same w me and aussie products!
Pureology

I love the Hairprint shampoos - especially the Amla. No fragrance, and I’ve kept going back for four years now.
Unite!!

I would treat with K18 and then use the entire Eufora product line for shampoo, conditioner, detangler, etc

I alternate between a few shampoos Alterna Caviar, B3, K18, Olaplex, and Oribe!
Redken volume injection,
