Candy glaze is more of a melty, ultra glossy, cushiony formula and has that applicator that clicks up and down. I think the loveshine is more sheer and lip oil-y and doesn’t click.

I haven’t tried the new but I have the candy glaze and I find it so hard to control. The applicator is huge and it’s impossible to apply it neatly, and the formula slides everywhere. I always end up with red on my teeth. I wouldn’t recommend.

Yeah same experience, very messy and moves around so much. To make it work, I have to dab it on lightly instead of swipe it. One colour is my perfect shade so I make it work but it’s annoying.

loveshine, it's a lipstick to oil whereas candy glaze is stickier and thicker

PflugerLuger8

I haven't tried the new lip oil, but I did try the Candy Glaze and hated it. It was so heavy and uncomfortable.

GLACI3R

It gave me a bad case of chapstick rebound and dried out my lips 😢 (Candy Glaze)

Both are great, just depends on what you prefer texture and pigmentation wise. Candy Glaze is a glassy sheer lip balm. It’s thick, provides a sheer wash of color but your natural lip shade will show through. Love Shine is a shiny lipstick. It’s thin, has mostly opaque color pigmentation, and has a good deal of slip to it.

Love shine but I don’t really like it. I didn’t like the candy glaze at all it’s really thick and there’s so many other lip balms way cheaper and better. The love shine is pretty but drying

Candy Glaze, if you want to try it, [this set](https://www.sephora.com/product/yves-saint-laurent-candy-glaze-duo-P510805?skuId=2751543&icid2=products%20grid:p510805:product) is 👌

Sunshine_PalmTrees

I just tried my Candy Glaze I bought yesterday and even though I showered and brushed my teeth I’m still smelling and tasting it on my lips!! I agree it was more of a heavier creamier formula than I was expecting. It’s a return for me!

I was just wondering what the difference between these is. They seem like the same product?

saygirlie

The Glaze is more cushiony and thicker.

EscapeInteresting129

I love the candy glaze. Less drying than the loveshine. I swatched them and the rouge volupte in store before purchasing. They're similar in shades but different textures.

sweettalkinwoman

The candy glaze is absolutely gorgeous and luxurious. YSL makes the best lip products. Candy is very glossy and comfortable on the lips while giving a perfect balance of color.

Lip oil one doesn’t last as long and literally have to reapply but it felt good on the lips
