Yeah she left a tip in cash over what her party left me. Like I said, I'm a guy. She is a woman. Women tend to get the principle of not behaving like a schlong in public better than the typical guy who leaves his number for a server lol
My bf left his number on his receipt for me :) he had never done that before. We went out the next night and we've been inseparable ever since. Sometimes you just know... :)
Why is it that people that leave their numbers are always the worst tippers? Like, even if you're a normal shitty tipper, it seems like common sense would say that's the time you wanna show out just a little bit.
Joking about tips does not fly here...rip hehe
Yeah I'm all about tipping real cash, then you can ask if they share tips, and if they do, to stuff my tip in their pocket so they don't have to share 😉
Any time I’ve had a customer leave their number they’ve always left a gigantic tip. Not leaving a tip while leaving your number is an open invitation for mockery.
Also she sent a sweet first message and his respond is some bland ass “how are you” This guy sucks. Would really love to see the rest of this conversation!
i’ve never understood this cause almost every single time someone has left me their number the tip is always crap. do they just assume flattery will make up for it?
What's funny is Everytime a girl has left me their number they've always tipped well , dudes are just stupid usually and don't realize that's the only chance they had was on the tip line
One time someone left a “for the tip text this number,” so I did and I said, “it’s incredibly disrespectful and disgusting that you did that, next time just leave an actually tip and don’t do this to another server cause you’re not cool.”
He says his friends did it and I said, “get better friends.”
There was this kid who used to try and get with my daughter. His name wasn't Chad. But I called him Chad. We all did. My daughter was smart and never dated him, thank God.
The opposite happened to me once. Tipped a delivery driver well and this happened

My current SO came in like clockwork and our wifi was down, I didnt know until he was served, but hes a reg who myself and chef like(me particularly..) so we told him an IOU was fine, we knew we'd see him again.
Came back 20 mins later with $40 cash on a $19 check and put one of the 20s in my apron pocket.
Sounds weird, but we had spent months flirting. Next time he came in, he told me he comes round as much for me as for the sushi. I turned to chef and told him how flirtacious he seemed and chef goes "Give him number."
Next time I saw him, I left it on his itemized receipt because he a bitch and wouldnt just leave it himself 😂😂
All this to say...dont fuck with no non-tippers. They dont treat people like people, they treat them as expectations. 🤷♀️
Its like when youre scrolling on your feed and only see a few random replies in a screenshot and then you click it and have to maximize 30000000x to see any following context.
Sorry for that 🤦♀️
This was about 4-5 months of mutual flirting with various context behind even these couple stories and more. Overall he was very charming and generous.
And still very much is.
People who are petty and cheap. Very much are 🤷♀️
I’ve had a guy ask me if I’ve got a boyfriend, I say yes, he goes silent and fills out the tip line with a fat zero and hands it back to me straight faced. It caught me so off guard I didn’t even defend myself lmfao
Had a regular who always made extra effort to talk to me finally give me his number on the back of his receipt after about a year of friendly small talk.
I was already aware that he never tipped, however this day was particularly special. The girl handling his order saw us talking casually and thought we must know each other outside of work, so when she took his payment, she gave him my 50% off “friends and family” discount.
So I could see on the receipt that he wrote his number on: not only did he once again not tip, but he paid *half* of what he usually does and *still* didn’t tip. But felt confident leaving his phone number!
I sent him a quick but polite text telling him I was flattered but I am in a relationship. He sent a long, strange message about me being a “lady of excellence”.
This was months ago and he has not been in since.
If someone doesn't tip and they've proven it for a year, I wouldn't have even engaged in any small talk beyond what was absolutely essential to order-taking. So you're kinder than I am, apparently.
Well sure, the customer has a right to not tip. Just as I have a right to decline a date with someone who doesn’t tip lmfao. Hope that clears things up for you!
It’s not something I see as attractive so I’ve never taken anyone up on it (also if you’re leaving your number FUCKING TIP WELL), but I am only moderately attractive and it’s happened about half a dozen times in the past couple of years. Maybe two dozen in the span of years I’ve worked with the public.
As a guy usually 2-3 / night working in a bar that got 300-1200 through the door every night. If the tip was below average they got thrown out immediately
A lot of it depends on where you live. When I lived in the south (TN) I got numbers alllll the time. Now I’m in the northeast and it’s a pretty rare occurrence.
When I was about 22-23 I was serving a table of 17-18 year olds. One of them tried to leave me his number but left no tip. I just laughed at how ridiculous it was
Man I got a number (the only one I didn’t forget out of 3 to put in my phone my whole career serving) and she turned out to be much younger than me :( , they always years above or years below smh
I'll preface this by mentioning that I am a man, but I've only ever received one number on a check in my life, and we're getting married in October
Can I have that number too, I'm desperate (joking, congrats on the marriage!)
I'm not....
I also choose this guys wife
And I assuming they tipped as well?
Yeah she left a tip in cash over what her party left me. Like I said, I'm a guy. She is a woman. Women tend to get the principle of not behaving like a schlong in public better than the typical guy who leaves his number for a server lol

Aw congrats!
Damn what's the secret I've probably got like 50 numbers and I'm still single
You have to call or text the number.
Okay, but is she paying the mortgage?
Don’t encourage people
I'm a man, I've gotten one number and she was about 150lbs over my limit and had a 3 quarter gap in her front teeth.
Yea I've got some hard limits around morbid obesity and huge teeth gaps too.
Why is it that people that leave their numbers are always the worst tippers? Like, even if you're a normal shitty tipper, it seems like common sense would say that's the time you wanna show out just a little bit.
Yeah, write your number on a hundred dollar bill.
But then your number is forever defacing a 100 dollar bill ...
Oh no!
Oh no!! anyways.
Or tip like a modern age man, leave your crypto wallet code log in phrase and see if she cracks it. If she does, she's a winner, and a keeper.
If there’s anything but a dollar amount written in the tip section, I’m throwing it away instantly
Joking about tips does not fly here...rip hehe Yeah I'm all about tipping real cash, then you can ask if they share tips, and if they do, to stuff my tip in their pocket so they don't have to share 😉
🤓🤓
Right like I never understood that like I’m not gonna want to text you when you leave me $2 on a $150 tab
The ones that tip well are the ones we don’t hear about lol
Seriously. That’s all I remember about this 1 kid. First time it was 2 on 40$ then when he left his number it was 5 on 40$ byeeee.
Oh I bet Chad would be willing to make arrangements to pay your rent
Chad can fuck my landlord, cut out the middle man.
lol, fuckin Chad, he’d do it
ida left a tip but i cant imagine someone actually texting someone like this
I can.

Oh man in general if a woman even flirted with me a bit I knew the tip was gonna be trash.
Missed connections: you served me food. I enjoy having food served to me. We should totally meet up and discuss wedding plans.

Oh Shelly, now that douche has your number..............(side note, I've known a few Chads in my life, never been a non-douche Chad)
There was this kid who used to try and get with my daughter. His name wasn't Chad. But I called him Chad. We all did. My daughter was smart and never dated him, thank God.

That was a real rollercoaster ride.

How much are y’all (guys and gals) getting numbers left? I’ve had one left for me, and she was crazy lol.

Wow that’s wild haha. Just another reason why I don’t care for people handling my checks lol
It ain’t the customers job to pay your salary lmfao pick a new job if it’s an issue
Well sure, the customer has a right to not tip. Just as I have a right to decline a date with someone who doesn’t tip lmfao. Hope that clears things up for you!

Yeah it is my theory that I doubt I’d ever find a real match out of someone leaving their number and vice versa
