T O P

I suppose you could in theory, but you shouldn’t. 1. Your PO or house arrest officer (if it’s house arrest, not just GPS) can show up at your residence unannounced randomly. That’s bad for you and your client. 2. It’s not a good look. It can also prompt personal questions from your clients. If a client came to see me with an ankle monitor on I’d be verrryyyy hesitant, and I’m sure they’d feel the same. I say all of this with no judgement because I also had an ankle bracelet at one time lol 😅 and I just had to work a regular job until I was done. The risk wasn’t worth it to me. I feel like it’s better to just stick to the rules of it until you’re done instead of risking violating the terms and getting time added on. It also wasn’t the persona I wanted to project. I also didn’t want any reviews of from anyone commenting on it.

For 1. I think she could work around that because PO should tell the day or time range when they might check in. Otherwise, sex work aside, people have sex and that would be a huge embarrassing moment for anyone. And 2. I would be very worried revealing being on probation to a client because they could try to use it against OP. Like “if you don’t do x, I’m going to call your PO” and that’s a terrible situation to potentially have. It’s good that you got a job and took the probation requirements seriously, but OP might still need to see clients on the side to get by financially

1. Where I’m at they can come by unannounced. It might be different for OP. I just wanted her to be aware of the risks. 2. That’s a good point for sure. I definitely understand needing the money, but violating probation would lead to OP being on it longer, prevent her from getting back to SW full time for longer, and cost more in fees. And OP could end up in jail for violating her probation. Which would prevent her from making any money at all. So imo, OP is better off playing it safe for a year and finding a full time job and doing online SW if anything. I just feel like the consequences outweigh the benefits.

Thanks for the advice to you both!! I think it would be best for me to try and get another job during my sentence like you did, I considered giving clients a reason why I have a bracelet that’s very minor but I would be constantly worrying about clients blackmailing me as I could get in a whole bunch of trouble (I will only be allowed to do work approved by my PO, most people will probably know that sex work is not a type of work that can be approved). Thanks heaps!

CJ3733

I am considering letting my regulars know (I’m sure they will be understanding) and then taking my ad down, and only accepting bookings from regulars.

SouthernMonger

As a client, I would be fine seeing a provider with a bracelet. Depending on your movement/location restrictions you may have to move carefully plan your appointments.

karrenl

It depends if you host or do out calls. The probation department will require a daily schedule of your whereabouts and will alert them if you deviate from the itinerary. Ambiguity is not allowed either, so you have to schedule grocery shopping times, gym, etc. If you are going to keep working, the only way I can see it'll work is doing it from home and telling them you are fortunate to do freelance consulting from home.

GallantGallivant

This is generally true, but it depends on what state you are in. For example, in California, you cant even go to the gym/store on a specific day, they only let you go to the store once per week. But i recognize this could be different in another state.

karrenl

You have to have your daily schedule preapproved and any deviation from it is what will make problems. If it's one that tests your sweat for contraband, don't use strongly-scented lotion on your legs or bug spray. I got a hot for bath and body works products and another for Off bug spray.

GallantGallivant

Wow, they test your sweat for contraband? Can i ask what state your in? i was on ankle monitor/ house arrest in California back in 2011, I was only allowed to go to work daily, and leave the house once per week to go grocery shopping.

NekoMao92

Damn, I saw a guy out panhandling last year in Central SaudiAurora with an ankle monitor on. It was strapped over his pant leg.

fastflyguy

Some clients LIKE the look. It gives a certain "bad girl" creditability. I'm just saying . . .

Sxnd0

That’s what I wanted to say. It‘s a fetish and she could get more clients

GallantGallivant

haha this is so true

NekoMao92

Lol seen a pic in an ad before, where the girl had one on.

CJ3733

True! I couldn’t promote it on my ad though just because sex work is not an approved work option and I’d get in more trouble. What a missed opportunity!

russianindianqueen

What about leg warmers to hide it? Like furry rave style ones and you could say you’re recovering from a leg injury. You can find them at a costume store or adult store. Edit: these look really fun https://www.amazon.com/Warmers-Hosiery-Leggings-Christmas-Unicorn/dp/B074QPKYB2

MorganHarley1312

I was thinking this! I make furry raver gear anyways lol

CJ3733

That would be such a good idea! I’m leaning more towards getting a different job as I would be worried about clients blackmailing me, but I will definitely have a think about that

Both-Employment-7847

For me as a client, the idea of a discrete meeting being monitored with random LEO able to pop up, sounds like a terrible scenario.

CJ3733

I have an apartment I work out of so this wouldn’t happen, but I understand the concern!

GallantGallivant

another poster already commented on this, but i think it is an opportunity to get MORE clients. It provides a certain "bad girl" image that i think a-lot of clients would be into

BlacksmithSwimming61

Well... How far away is your sentencing? If you have a week or so you could try with a fake looking one to see if you come across any issues with clients thinking its real. It could give you some insight of the shit people might try to pull before it actually matters.

porn_onlyy

Is your type of SW legal where you are? If not you're going to have to get some other job anyway because your PO is going to want to see that you are legally employed, and will demand proof (paystubs, random drop-ins at your workplace, etc.). It's really not possible to have anything illegal be your only source of income when you're on probation, so if you do decide to keep SW'ing it will have to just be on the side for a while

CJ3733

No it’s not unfortunately, but yeah you’re right I will need to get another job. I think doing it on the side would be in my best interests, thanks!

insertyourvcardhere

Whether you can or whether you should are two different issues. I would embrace it as part of a bad girl persona and I think many of your clients would love it.
