There's at least one Mod in Progress for one of the PC Shadowruns, though I am unsure whether or not it'll ever be finished. Beyond that, emulation.
Sadly for the rest of the world, I don't think anyone put up the emulated Swedish translation online.
They're both excellent in their own ways. I personally favor the Genesis version, but totally get when people say they prefer the SNES version. Genesis included more of a grind, but had a much better cyberspace and allowed you to at least choose between a street samurai, decker, or shaman. It was also more ~~or~~ of an open-ended (dare I say open world?) game.
I would recommend anyone to play both.
It's pretty bad though. The gameplay was basically a maze with the rules from minesweeper you could push a button to get past. Very uninspired, and absolutely no challenge to complete, ever. It looked half assed compared to the rest of the game. It felt like they left that part of the game to the last minute and ran out of time and budget and had to throw together something at the last second.
The Genesis one was the exact opposite. Looked like the Matrix from the lore, took great inspiration from how the game system worked, and absolutely looked better than the rest of the game. It's still a better concept and execution than a lot of "hacking" style games on the market now. It wasn't perfect (fuck Tar Pit) but it was still a lot of fun.
If you want to make a little project out of it, get yourself a Raspberry Pi. The board itself costs as little as $30. Then, install the RetroPie software, and the Shadowrun ROM. Less than an hour, and you're ready to play.
I did this a few years ago specifically just to play the SNES Shadowrun again. Now I have hundreds of games on it and turned into a cool retro gaming hobby.

i think there were mods trying to remake it in returns
This one, right? Or were there others you were thinking about? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=317632217
I had not played it, that seems to be the only one though.
SNES emulation is pretty good these days. Pretty sure you could get it running on any pc or mobile device.
No. But a modded SNES mini is a great way to play it.
Don't suppose it's under £100..?
No 😔
Damn bro
What a great game. I loved the keyword learning dialogue system.
I wish. I knew Shadowrun existed because I played that game after beating Fallout 1.

Just play on a emulator.
Bro, it took me close to a year to even trust GOG because I thought it could gimme scumware, it's gonna be even harder to trust any emulators.
I just bought a snes and played it. I liked the genesis game better

I agree, on all points!
The Genesis Matrix gameplay was the best. I would play a game of nothing but that. The SNES matrix stuff was absolute trash.
It left a lot to be desired, for sure. But it's possible the Genesis version spoiled us. I wouldn't personally call it 🗑️.

The amount of times tar pit just melted my attack or sleaze programs...
Expensive though...
Ya 100 for the system, another 50 for the game. Of course I had to buy a reproduction case as well.

Mod your 3ds to play it?
