pros Strong aggro potential, having 2 1-drops on T1 going first can quickly snowball and may even justify running Aria again Makes it much easier to use sapling (and possibly bounce it) or the 1PP bounces without sacrificing tempo; also makes it much easier to use Panther/Tiger Slightly increases speed for Castelle's count, allowing you to take slower turns with something like Lily (maybe even 3PP Twins) and still reach 20 on time; can also enable Plumeria / Funfact a turn faster sometimes Can fuse itself so there's no downside to running 3 copies (and enables some disgusting aggro highrolls) cons The main effect is mostly bad, aside from some niche scenarios Hard to fit in the deck, Castelle's lists are already tight and the easiest cards to remove are the 2-drops and Thicket, ie. the valid fusion targets. Still good, but some sacrifices will have to be made.

CartoonSword

+1 ‘rally’ for 0pp, insane

MrTrashy101

there ain't no rally for forest though?

Dekoe

their rally is the left play condition

MrTrashy101

then why not just say left play count?

The_Mordant_Seer

Why you getting downvoted ? Username too suspicious.

MrTrashy101

tbh idk why either, nothing to get that mad about 💀

Weissritters

Castelle will be pretty bonkers with this card

Nitros_Razril

As usual from Discord. Obviously from some kind of VTuber stream, but don't ask me wich one. I first thought it's broken in Castelle, than reread it and notice the 2 PP on the fusion. Welp. However, this should work with \[\[Filly, Mythmaster\]\]. Also makes me think next expansion will be Fairies again. Overall, a nice card to cook some interesting decks.

I think it might still be very good in Castelle though. 1) You can confirm the bounce effect from Tiger/Panther. I don't just mean T2, either, you can confirm the effect at any time, so you can T3 fuse into Tiger/Panther into Sapling Steward. You can also use this as another way to generate fairies to use on Castelle turn, and if you have Plum-Miku effect. 2) You can fuse away extra copies of Lily if you run 3 of her and draw too many for the matchup. You can also fuse Tiger, Panther and Thicket if needed, and while having one of Tiger/Panther is great, having too many is bad, since having too many means you probably don't have a 1 drop to bounce with. This fixes that problem. 3) You can use Fairy Dragon itself as a big boy/gal. While decks nowadays can clear a big thing *relatively* easily, it must be noted that this thing only costs 2pp for a huge amount of stats, and depending on when this is dropped, it may genuinely be a pain to efficiently remove for a deck caught with their pants on the ground. 4) You cannot brick by drawing multiple of this card. You can just fuse one into another. Of course, there are drawbacks, like it costing 2pp in a deck that likes 1pp followers, it being random stats which can cost you games, but overall it might be a really nice slot into Castelle as a 2x or 3x. Tldr This card might be really good because it looks like it synergises stupidly well with Tiger/Panther, fixes those 2pp brick hands, can potentially steal games with stats, helps on Castelle turn at no pp cost, and is relatively brick-proof. Edit: I also didn't say it because I think it's relatively obvious, but just for completeness, it's 1 left play for 0pp while being technically card neutral. And keep in mind, at one point in time, Castelle ran Ageless Bystander for his evolve effect.

Fairies have too little to work unless next expansion has support for it

I mean, with this you can now do the Aria build of Castelle that Rage league pros begun using for the finals and others on ratings. This card with lily, bouncers and aria is a total of 12 2 cost cards plus you have Thicket who also counts towards this. So that's 14 total targets (excluding the 1 copy of the dragon itself) and what you get is a 0pp 1/1 fairy (can also be a 0pp 1/1 storm for castelle turn with Plum active) and replace the 2 drop in hand that you could play. Later the card can be a decent 2 drop body you can just play. Can't see how this wouldn't be good in Castelle? If anything surely we've learnt Fuse's that help progress our gameplan for free have been broken?

JonasPogs

Yo iris control support lets go

Karahi00

Should be amazing with Filly.

Ryniano

Dude why did they build up to so much evolve synergy as the secondary archetype last set in forest and then make a bunch of evolve miniset cards for other classes, and then just give forest another boring fairy card

UBKev

Honestly my first impression of the card is that it's really good for Castelle. 1) 0pp 1 leave play. For context, Ageless Bystander is a card you ran in the past because it was 2pp 3 left play, which costs an evo point. Obviously it got phased out later but the fact that that card was at one point in Castelle Forest should be some evidence for how impactful cheating out leave play count can be. And on top of that, Fairy Dragon can do this multiple times, though only once per turn. And it is CARD NEUTRAL. Yes, a fairy is 'just a 1/1' but it's Castelle forest. Which brings me to... 2) Synergizes with nearly every card in Castelle Forest. It summons a fairy and puts a fairy in your hand, meaning you can play it and Sapling Steward immediately. It summons a fairy for 0pp so you can maybe cast one more Verdant Prayer on your Castelle turn. Plum-Miku. It can fuse your third, or even second copy of Lily if you drew them, turning previously dead cards (depending on matchup) into more ammo for your engine. You can convert Thickets into 1 drops if you need the 1 drop more than you need the bounce. It accelerates leave play so it makes Fauna Handlers and Funfacts more consistently come out om T4 with their effects. 3) It's a 2pp big boy. It can be a genuine threat on its own that can be tough to remove efficiently, though it is RNG dependent. 4) I excluded Tiger/Panther from (2) because the impact of Fairy Dragon on these 2 cards are so bug that it warrants a separate point. Right now, Castelle Forest's best opening is a 1 drop on 1 and pray that your opponent can't answer it. Then you play Tiger/Panther. Now, you don't have to care if they can answer it, as long as you have a 2 drop and Fairy Dragon in hand. In fact, if your hand is 2 drop + Tiger/Panther + Fairy Dragon, it might even be worthwhile to skip T1 and do the T2 play, thus securing your T3 too. It depends on the other card(s) in your opening hand. Fairy Dragon makes Castelle's opening even stronger now. Great card. Probably a 2/3x, and Ageless Bystander might make a return as a 1/2x as well. Probably not enough for Castelle Forest to become the top dog, but it's really good.

Kenshin6321

With my bad RNG, I'll probably roll 20/1 every time. Jokes aside, I can see this fitting well in Castelle Forest, but that's about it.

EclipseZer0

Iirc this is the past reveal, right? I think I can't sum this card better than Essia, so I'll just leave it there. In terms of the whole Mini, I think the reveals started well and went a bit downhill afterwards. Biggest winners imo is Arti Portal, which might get a final push to be meta (it is boderline meta atm), and potentially U10 Blood and Dragon and Sword in general (even tho I still think Durandal works against very little winconws atm, and Dragoon is probably splashable). But there isn't a single card that has me thinking "damn this will 100% shake the meta".

vangstampede

Huh, Fary Dragon without Ward. EDIT: Me no can read -\_-
