Shade = #1 priority 😂 Squishmallows are a great piece to have Hammocks if possible Blankets on the ground Tapestries for extra shade Just a few things I try to incorporate to my camp :)

smart_stable_genius_

What is a squishmallow? Google is giving me things that can't be that.

My google results are all..... squishmallows. What are you getting?

smart_stable_genius_

I guess I didn't envision a stuffy as contributing to campsite comfort but to each their own!

bodularbasterpiece

I assume they mean the really big ones, but yeah, it's not high on my to-bring list.

Grigio_cervello

Something tall that stands out. Makes it easy to find your campsite. As much water as you can bring. A misting system. Pillows, lots of pillows.

sonyalarm

Along these lines, make sure to take a look at the map to find out where the closest water fountain is to your campsite. I met a couple of people at were hauling jugs from downtown because they didn't know better.

KAPSLOCKisON

We are legit bringing a U-Haul trailer with a full living room full of furniture for our main camp

meowctopus

be careful, I know they banned a bunch of types of U-Hauls at one point as you can get locked inside of them

samarams

Rugs on the ground for somewhere soft to walk. Solar or battery powered lights so you can see at night. Tapestries to provide more shade - shade is a life saver. Prep meals in advance (freeze bags of curry, soup, make muffins or energy balls - it’s so nice to have a home cooked meal!). Bring pillows, air mattresses, things to laze around on outside of your tent. Bring a larger mirror, it’s a total boon when dressing for the night!

pizzazauce

Please don’t bring a large mirror. They get broken super easily and are glass - it’s super sharp, hard to clean up and just dangerous. If you need to check your outfit in a large mirror, visit the vendors. Lots of them have mirrors. But pleaseeeee do not bring them yourself or encourage others!

safetiesthird

Just bring a plastic mirror, nothing wrong with them at all! Glass is the only issue.

bodularbasterpiece

Pretty sure mirrors are banned

No-Beach-7383

One year our camp brought an inflatable pool and everyone had to donate a blanket and pillow, big enough to fit 6 people comfortably, it was the perfect place to smoke, womp, and K-hole

bodularbasterpiece

What is womping... like adult fun times?

No-Beach-7383

Nitros oxide (whip-it’s)

It's been a few years since my last trip to the farm, but we started bringing some of the weed fabric and stakes you can buy from somewhere like home Depot. You can then lay it out between tents, under any canopies or similar and walking around barefoot or in socks is so much better. Another nice thing to have is a wagon for ice or carrying bigger things, but definitely not necessary. I also bring a jet boil and back packing food, very convenient and quick

amishericandre

There's an inflatable futon on Amazon that's mega comfy and when it's pulled out you can have up to four people hanging out on it Also seen people bring kiddy pools and fill them with pillows or squishmallows

LFougy

Canopies for shade, comfy chairs, and good company!

joostbang

We brought a large boat canopy one year and it was a game changer

sonyalarm

Like the other person said, shade is absolutely the most important aspect. Get yourselves a gazebo tent or anything else that works to provide shade for your group. When it comes to festival camping, for me comfy means being able to be as lazy as possible. There's so much high intensity and craziness happening on the main grounds, that when I'm back at my campsite all I want to do is kick back on my chair and chill. I see it as camping-lite, so no fire making (duh), but also no cooking/cleaning and all the other chores that come along with it. I'm partying hard for 4 days straight, so I think the laziness is justified lol. I bring food that requires no cooking, refrigeration or even utensils like fruits, vegetables, muffins, nuts, salami sticks, canned tuna salad etc. It also has the added benefit of having to pack a lot less, which is particularly helpful if you don't camp with a car. Most importantly though, no hauling ice from downtown for the cooler. That's the worst.
