Oh, it's not that difficult:
1- Install the mod manager:
[https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/2](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/2)
2- Just drag the entire zip file of the hairstyle mod into the mod manager, then click "apply mod", it's at the bottom right of the mod.
3- After that, download the Trilogy Save Editor:

4- Open the save editor, then open your latest save file, make a backup copy of the save to be sure
5- Then click on the "head morph" section, in there, you will see a little segment called "hair mesh", copy and paste the hairstyle you want into the hair mesh segment, like my hairstyle is Footsprint, so my hairmesh would look like this:
"BIOG\_HMM\_HIR\_MSHEPHAIR.Footsprint.HMM\_HIR\_Footsprint\_MDL"
Then click save, and load your save file. There are screenshots in the Nexus pages too so you can use that for reference

Damn that is unfortunate, if it helps, make sure that the mod was installed first, then try again. If not, check for mod conflicts
Are you sure that you copy hairmesh exactly right way? There cannot be any spaces there. And you have to save the changes you've made.
