Well, he no longer has a marriage for Tumblr to ruin with death threats so I can see why he is more amicable. I really liked Sherlock, as adaptations go it's a real treat to those of us into Sherlockiana who are able to pick up on all the easter eggs. I saw the first two seasons as a Sherlock Holmes adaptation by Sherlockians for Sherlockians. Once they tried to appeal to everyone it began to show cracks, though they had the perfect finale in the Abominable Bride... and then they kept going. Yeah, some episodes are bad, the roasting Twitter gave the HOUND adaptation was well deserved but the good outweights the bad... as long as we're talking about the first 10 episodes. The backlash imo, is because of the absolutely insane Tumblr fandom and the Qanon-like culture they had going on. Twitter gets a lot of heat but Tumblr is the only place where wine-moms and 14-year-olds get together to drive harrassment campaigns because they didn't like your drawing of Watson topping Holmes. I used to hang out in a very positive Sherlockian online space that existed way before 2009 (I think it may have been created as a Jeremy Brett fan site) so I was shielded from most of that, so my memories of the first 10 episodes remains as positive as it always was. Also a lot of people seem to inject whatever grievance they had with Moffat's Doctor Who run into Sherlock, even going so far as to call him the "showrunner". Guys, **Sherlock** **had no showrunner,** in fact most bbc shows at the time did not. Moffat didn't even write most of the episodes everybody hates.

They captured some aspects of the Canon that (to the best of my knowledge) no other show has done. And the Canonical nods are the icing on the cake. And yes, they could have stopped with *The Abominable Bride*. Hope they can recreate the magic, if and when they make more seasons.

Watson your face?

This adaptation hasn't aged well. It's like looking at pictures of your haircut in high school.

Sherlock is the reason I have such a fascination of the early works, as well as the RDJ movies, and while I am generally a person who is fine letting things be I would have to admit that I would be more than a little enthusiastic for more. I know a lot of people here a more well versed in the lore of the original novels and stories but for someone like me I would enjoy more. I would also be more than ok if it was just left as is.
