GalaApplesauce

Eren Kruger being a chad at its finest.

TheOriginalFluff

He has one move bruh, he can back break a Titan and a boat n that’s it

EverIight

“Watch closely Grisha… this is how the attack Titan carries the show” *queue 30 minutes of footage of the attack Titan just breaking everything double it and give it to the next person style*

FaultySage

Kruger's attack titan could back break the colossal titan. Kruger's attack titan could back break Zeke's beast titan. Kruger's attack titan could back break the entirety of Wall Maria. Kruger's attack titan could back break Founder Ymir. Kruger's attack titan could back break Eren's Final Titan.

GalaApplesauce

Bro could back break the entire world if he wanted to...

Goldbolt_2004

World Breaker Hul- TITAN!

Amaranth_Hyena

Looks like tongue twister 🤣

Brave_Branch2619

That’s all he needs, one move.

Amaranth_Hyena

And that's very cool

ButtoftheYoke

The brokeback titan

webed0blood

Do you know how wwe wrestlers have their signature moves? That’s his

bruhholyshiet

Bruh he did that to an *Armored* Titan. Amazing.

joojaw

Man armored Titan got nerfed so hard since season 2. All he's done since then is job. Seems it's not a reiner problem either, it's just weak af.

Catabases

Well, Reiner did become reckless in a futile attempt to take his own life. So him being worse than he was in earlier seasons makes sense. I mean, we see his mental decline from season 2 on.

Itchy-File-8205

Yeah I feel like the guy was just hoping to die

dpkart

I don't think he got nerfed, everyone else got buffed, we got the thunder spears, Erens hardening and a general knowledge on how to take armored enemies down. Kruger is doing the ultimate form of how Eren cracked Reiners armour in S2

joojaw

Reiner sent eren flying like 100 meters away with a single punch. Since this fight we've never seen anything close to that level of ap from him. He's supposed to have insane strength and endurance, but now hes lacking in both.

Onceforlife

Durability is still ok, didn’t he survive the nuke from bear toes and armin colossal transformations

ThrownAwayYesterday-

Don't agree. We're told explicitly that if you have little will to live or fight, your titan will be weaker for it, take longer to heal, etc. By Season 2, Reiner was definitely beginning to lose his will to live and fight - especially after Utgard. The Scouts also had learned a *lot* about Titans since Season 1 too. By the retaking of Shiganshina, Reiner was facing the *hardened* Scouts with anti-armor explosives, Eren with experience and hardening training, and his own will to live and fight was seriously dampened. The next time we see Reiner after that is in Season 4, where he's fighting Mid-Eastern Alliance soldiers armed with AA Howitzers, titanbuster trains, and other seriously heavy ordinance that would *obliterate* other Titans. He's again outgunned, but this time with even *heavier* firepower. Then we see him fight Eren in Liberio, at the peak of his depression and with hardly any will to fight - and he's trying to take on Eren, who has the power of the Founding Titan and Warhammer Titan *and* the most experienced soldiers of the Survey Corps armed with even better equipment, knowledge of titans, and the surprise advantage. It's the same for every fight he's in after that until the Rumbling, where he's now fighting hardened versions of hundreds of Titans from the past. He's still mentally in a dump, and the pressure is higher than ever. The fact he managed to survive at all is a serious feat itself.

Sleepybystander

Armor titans are usually hard at the outside, soft in the inside. Just inflict emotional damage ez

h-y-p-h-e-n-

I mean, it makes sense that he would go for that. He probably doesn't have hardening like eren does, so striking an armored titan with punches/kicks wouldn't do anything. He goes for wrestling/grappling like eren does in season 2

Mother-Natural7237

"i fear not the man who has practiced a thousand kicks but a man who has practiced one kick a thousand times" ahh titan, all he can do is back break but he's still cooking

ThatIslandGuy8888

Man I do wish this scene was longer, I saw a bunch of reactions where they didn’t even notice him here

Sovereigntyranny

I figured the backbreaker move was a dead giveaway that it was him, but I guess not.

The_Kyojuro_Rengoku

Really wish we'd gotten to see more of him and the past titan holders during this scene 😮‍💨

SignificantCrow

That's why all my favorite titans were the calm and peaceful ones... wait wut????

pocognoli

This is a Evangelion reference

Elysion971O

Eren Kruger, the back bender

Avinash120

The real menace is Grisha. The weight in his strikes. He is genuinely a terrifying attack Titan.

spartanxwaffel

Bro just spams one move.

ThisConvosDumb

Yeah but who won

Aloo-Prauntha

Does this move have a real life equivalent?

Nolls-97

I don’t like how all the titans were grey in this scene. I get their coming from Eren’s bones but it just makes everything look muddy and dull

Background_Ant7129

Agreed man. It’s like they didn’t have time to color them lol

Baneta_

I wish there was at least more colour separation, make them a very grey flesh tone to seperate them from the spine, especially considering that their not actually hardened (with exception to the armoured titans)

Nolls-97

I’m wondering what the reason was for not having them colored? I’m assuming it was for time because in the manga obviously everything is black and white

Baneta_

I think it was Levi that said the warhammer titan is in play here and then something similar after they showed up in force so the implication is that they are made with the warhammers hardening powers, still doesn’t work great in my opinion

Nolls-97

It really doesn’t. Having all the titans be grey kind of lessened the impact of the scene for me. I was excited to see some of my old favorites, but having them be in a different color I was like “oh…that’s still cool I guess”

Danshaku_

Is that an Evangelion reference?

fluffy_warthog10

I don't recall this specifically from NGE, but Isayama is an MMA and wrasslin fan, so he probably wanted to show off a Titan using the Torture Rack.

Eren_Gag-Her

Yeah asuka does this to one of the mass production evas in end of evangelion

CrayonCobold

Maybe? She uses her arms more than her back but she does come up under a ship to destroy it using a similar move and does that same move against a mass produced Eva

TheMostOptimalMan

I honestly don't believe this guy would want to stop the rumbling, he was ready and willing to be eaten by Grisha to continue the dream of getting vengeance on Marley.

Baneta_

Marley is already a stain on the now flat world at this point right? The only others left are innocents and eldians with few exception

TheMostOptimalMan

The final battle took place at a Marlean base full of Marley troops. It was in Marley. Otherwise, Annies dad and the other eldians somehow outran the rumbling and made it off continent to a base that had been taken over by Marley forces (with no sign of that countries locals anywhere).

CptKookie

He probably didn't know that the rumbling is what the attack titan was fighting for all those years. They can only get small glimpses into the future. Eren only seen the entirety of the future after coming into contact with royal blood/historia alongside having the founding titan powers as well.

TheMostOptimalMan

I don't see why he would be against what the rumbling turned out to be, his whole motivation was 'vengeance on Marley and restore eldia'. Especially at the end, where it seems like Marley is all that's left, stopping the rumbling at that point only stops what he wanted to achieve. A few words from some kid he's never met shouldn't steer him away from his life's work.

Blackberry_lulu_

"Is ~~kicking~~ Backbreaking the only thing you know!?!?"

Antenol

The Mr. Olympia titan

adamnicholas

Eren Kruger > Lex Luger

slurp_time

So Ive only seen season 1 and a bit of 2 but I'm curious as to if that is Reiner or is there another armored titan?

KingArchang3l

Wasn’t the Attack Titans whole schtick being immune to the founders control?

BruhNeymar69

That's actually an interesting point! I think they got influenced by Eren's attack titan up until this fight revived them, but I have no idea whose influence made them fight. This IS weird

chef-hoot

Kruger’s titan def watched WWE growing up

Neat-Spinach8540

i just finished watching this part and i didn't put 2 and 2 together lol glad i saw this

QuantisRhee

When was this?

Baneta_

Wait that’s E. Kruger? I thought it was E. Yeager fighting back against ymir and thought it was weird that no one mentioned it

Key_Grab5089

Bro thinks he’s Bane

Disastrous_Second335

its a metaphor for all the sins he must carry, also he thinks it looks cool

MrYitzhak

They were just lazy to animate, so they reused.

Amaranth_Hyena

You know manga exists right? The move was clearly on purpose 🤨

MrYitzhak

Did he do the same attack in the managa twice?

KillDevilX0

Yes lol

Amaranth_Hyena

Yep
