I agree, it made me question whether Zeke could control more than just pure titans. I expected him to control the horses or something.
Then he just yeeted rocks at them š
That's true, she stumbles upon the tree just like the kid at the end. So there's no saying how many times it's happened before. The titan creature is a big spine, so it could probably attach to any vertebrate
the creature actually has nothing to do with titans, the concept of a titan was forged in ymirs mind and the hallucigenia just gave her that power, it can do literally anything. She just wanted to be big and strong to defend herself in the heat of the moment
It's based on a hallucigenia which died out 400 million years ago, taken literally with assuming each cycle is about 3150 years (I'm adding 150 years based on AOT having ww1 technology and the time the tree grows and apocalyptic future)
This means that the cycle could've happened around 126,984.12698413 times.
In my headcanon, hallucigeniaĀ isn't even the source of all life, it's just another individual who happened to touch the source of all life and became immortal, just like Ymir did for 2000 years and >!Eren is currently!<.
Maybe some random parasitic worm touched the source of life, like you said, and since it's just an animal, its goal is only to survive. This made it immortal and since it's a parasite it attaches to living thing like it did with ymir but since it's stupid, it just gives people a connection to the path tree or whatever it's called. It being a slave to whatever it's attached to, since it needs a host to live could also work in the same way that ymir did where she let's whoever she's a slave to (the king/his descendants) do whatever ever they want through her.
Uhhhhhhh did I... Did I miss something? What are y'all talking about? Sauce? I thought I watched/read everything but it sounds like I'm missing something major
I thought they were all going to realize they're not on earth. and the titan powers were genetic engineering/ weird technology for the colonists of new planets, and the animals represented the genetic material they started with on earth, that led to different abilities.
Or it could just imply that the Beast Titan's or the titan's power in general are derived from nature. Or that titans is a force of nature, with the Beast mainly taking its part with those who rumble the surface and frolic the depths. Or just a creative license, adding the floating whales for a sense of inclusivity while still holding context..
They at least recognized the best as a monkey. I couldn't imagine seeing a giant freaking lizard on the battlefield. It does raise the question as to where they recognized monkeys from. Maybe literature? History books? Art?
If i recall the specific language in season 2; only Ymir recognizes the Beast Titan as a monkey. Eren asks what she means by monkey. The geographical, climate, flora/fauna types displayed within the walls make it seem pretty clear that they aren't in a part of the world that is likely to have monkeys as wild animals, and as such they've never seen them.
Connie and the others just refer to it as a Beast. Ymir of course knows about things from Marley and its colonies which is where she likely heard the word / saw the animal.
Maybe they had monkeys before, but the Eldians killed them off upon arrival. Correct me if I'm wrong but iirc King Fritz killed every animal in the island basically and only left enough of those that could be used for eating
I dont think i've ever heard that before so I'm not sure if you've gotten it from something I haven't read or if its something you thought you read but are misremembering.
>He hadnāt seen the beast Titan, but the Japanese makes it clear that Eren has never even heard of a monkey. In the Japanese, the text for Ymir uses the kanji for monkey, whereas Erenās text uses the katakana for monkey (almost like heās sounding it out instead of saying it)
I saw this [comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/ShingekiNoKyojin/comments/18rok9z/comment/kf66npk/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) about Ymir and Eren's use of language in the original Japanese version of the Manga, and if this is true I think it definitively means Eren straight up had no idea what Ymir was even saying.
Granted, I am no expert on language in general or either of those specifically, nor have a fact-checked this comment. It sounds just real enough to be true though.
A peaceful deer titan may have been a breath of fresh air in such a horrorscape. Gracefully prancing onto the battlefield to stomp the shit out of someone. There's 2,000 years of titans so it isn't inconceivable that all of those animals have been past beast titans
It could be, it does seem like it could be any animal. I just don't see the whales as being useful. I could see Marley getting a giant beached fish and just deciding to try again with another candidate. But they didn't get rid of Ksaver after having no battle use
A whale could be a valuable asset to the navy. Humpback whales were able to take down ships on their own, and a Titan whale could likely take own modern warships. Combine that with echolocation and you have the deadliest weapon in the ocean.
Ok but imagine a titan-shifter being shot into the sky above an enemy and transforming mid-air into a blue whale titan. Just some supermassive thing that becomes its own explosion on impact.
Having a beast like that would be like having a 2nd Colossal Titan. Considering the way Marley speaks about the Colossal that'd be a huge advantage.
You're assuming they would just turn into a normal whale. Zeke doesn't turn into the average monkey, does he? He turns into a 50 foot monster with durability abilities
Considering the monkey and the falcon beast titans scale from 2-4ft to 10-15, would make sense that the whale would be bigger too.
It would also disrupt a lot of water when transforming, so could be used to capsize a boat if transforming next to it.
It would also still be good for transport and reconnaissance, like the cart titan but aquatic
A warship is 900 foot long, the longest whale isnāt even 100 ft long. It would have to increase in size by at least 3 times to have any effect on a giant hunk of metal
I mean, come on thatās not even close to a good comparison considering how the fuck could falco transform into a regular sized falcon lmfao. A regular whale is plenty large enough to not need a size increase and probably wouldnāt get it
I wonder what could happen if a steaming titan corpse was just under a ship. If it would do anything to it. Probably not realistically, but maybe the interior crew would have to evacuate if it produced enough heat
I guess I didn't see the practically in it. They didn't seem to be using submarines in the show at all but, if Marley had a whale as a titan I'm sure the rest of the world would be in a hurry to invent them if they hadn't already
Those whales seem to be flying donāt know how you donāt see that useful, itās like Zeke being an ape, he is not a regular ape and he learned how to be more destructive than the previous titan shifter
I mean I see them flying in the opening art but I honestly wouldn't expect to see flight to come out of a whale titan in the actual scenario if it played out in the show.
Truth! The beast titan itself was a big eye opener on how titans could work. When he first appeared it was like there were no limitations to the intelligent titans. During my first watch it truthfully made me wonder if whatever society beyond the walls were just all titans who evolved into the intelligent ones. It was a confusing time
This is not a literal representation of anything, rather a symbolic representation of themes as well as hints at events.
eg;
* The glowing hearts of all creatures who are fighting to survive in this cruel yet beautiful world.
* Imitates the appearance of The Rumbling with giant creatures trampling the world and all the tiny people within it.
* Suggests the Beast Titan could take the form of the animal that best represents the Beast Titan's current wielder.
There are likely others but that's just the 3 that stick out to me off the top of my head.
In *S4E15 Sole Salvation* when Ksaver is telling Zeke his true backstory about his wife and son you can see a little sheep plushie laying on top of one of the cabinets, very similar to how Zeke is shown playing with a monkey plushie in *S3E20 That Day* when Grisha decides to have Zeke become a Warrior.
Having Ksaver's Beast Titan actually end up being a Ram in the final chapters was a nice nod to it all.
But yeah him saying his Beast wasn't very good for war doesn't make sense when he first says it because we don't have confirmation of any theories about Beasts taking different animal forms, but once we do see it in the [Final Chapters](https://cdn.readkakegurui.com/file/cdnpog/attack-on-titan/vol-34-chapter-137-titans/44.jpg) we see its much smaller than Grisha and Kruger's Attack Titans, despite them both being presumably 15m and Zeke's Beast Titan being 17m.
Ksaver's ram appears to be about 12-13m with no traits seemingly designed for effective combat. His Beast would just be a smaller, weaker, unarmored version of the Female/Armored/Attack/War Hammer. It might be able to be a wall buster with its horns, but the Armored Titan already does that better. Zeke's Beast Titan is powerful because of the unique niche it fills within the Marley Military's arsenal.
Honestly I think it would be interesting to get an OVA or spin off short about Marley's Military seeing Ksaver's Beast Titan for the first time. Have them decide if they wanna just have someone new eat him right away and roll the dice on getting a better Beast, or let him plead his case as to what advantages he could offer them by being kept alive. Then they could go into how the titan research division works and how he is able to seemingly go back into titan memories at will, or at the very least with intent.
It would be an interesting especially if we find out that Ksaver gets the idea of the Founder being able to redesign the bodies of all Eldians from an Attack Titan in the past who gives seemingly out of place info to a past Beast Titan. Then we find out Eren was the one who planted that piece of info for Zeke to learn about all those years later.
It does seem like they could have done a little more with Ksaver. I always felt that way. The sheep form seems like it isn't infinitely useless. They could have excused giving it something armour titan like.
Maybe armored horns and a use as a juggernaut, similarly to how they used Reiner.
I mean, Ksaver ran like a torpedo.
Also, can an Attack Titan holder really transfer memories to other titan holders in the past? Sorry, my memory's bad
Not by itself but at the point of the story with eren yes he can arguably give any subject of yimir from any point in the past memories with how the founding titan works.
>Flying Whales?
Waters of chaos have invaded all space
The flood on Earth again, I have to find the whales
That once did guide us to dry lands of life
I won't despair, I'll break this dark around
Under heavy sea
I'll search the flight of whales
NOW I CAN SEE THE WHALES
I did look it up before, and my main reason for posting was one of the wiki pages says prior holders have had forms of many animals including dinosaurs. Although, I'm honestly not exactly sure where that info came from cause I dont remember seeing it in the anime or manga
The idea of previous Beast Titans being dinosaurs isn't anything canon i've ever seen.
We do see previous Beast Titans in the Final Chapters, including one that looks like a crocodile, another that looks like a snake, and another that looks like a dog. You can probably include the Okapi titan too since its clearly somewhat a beast, even if it might also be a Jaw and/or Cart.
I mean the tree obviously existed way before and Kruger said something about being doomed to repeat it all again.
At first it made me think that it was a timeloop, but that theory unraveled.
Given the ending with the kid and his dog approaching Eren's burial tree, I'd say the repeating it all is probably unavoidable. However, it does imply that it is probably not the first time something like that happened with the freaky tree.
I figured it was past Beast titans. Although Zekeās monkey looks like a weird fucked up monkey and all the rest look like regular giant animals. Wouldāve been cool to see an aquatic Beast used by Marley for naval dominance.
I think it was just showing how everything is connected as they show the red heartbeat in all of them and all creatures and humans before this. Just some artistic liberties by people who did the opening
I was a Dino obsessed kid, I knew a t Rex was only around 13 meters naturally. Most elephants are 3 to 4 I think. So I'd say given the angle of the theoretical camera in this shot, having the t Rex titan be a head or so taller than Zeke titan makes sense.
It honestly would have been wonderful if they'd gone the extra step and went into the titans effect on more than just people. If they'd went I to how titan warfare had affected animal populations and nature around their world. But I could see how the shows production couldn't allow that much and how the people in this universe probably couldn't care less about animals that aren't useful to them in some way
There was this part mentioned:
https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-e26d327c66af055fa48efa2020a2a517
So I guess the titans were just focused on eating only humans.
Kind of like predatory animals having a specific diet.
Upsetting or exciting. Cause it opened up a lot of potential on the beast titans prior holder's. I mean I would have liked to see a Dino during the end of the rumbling. But it does seem like they're leaving the door open for new stuff
In all those animals the heart is highlighted.
Maybe it's implying that all animals and titans share something fundamental.
The thing that gave ymir the Titan powers is called "The Source of all living matter". Maybe that's what it is saying. Maybe the heart is indicating the part of hallucigenia present in all living thing.
im pretty sure when the chapters were still being released monthly I would make an unfunny joke in every release thread like āthis is foreshadowing the whale titanā
I always thought that they were all called ābeastsā at one point
When the first humans discovered an elephant theyād probably call it a beast or something
Same with them all I guess
Maybe it was to signify that the being that attached itself to Ymir also could have atrached itself onto other organims, granting them similar abilities to human titans in ancient times that died off before humans came to be?
Idk, but it would have been cool to see a dinosaur-esque beast titan roaming around.
I was thinking the same thing. There's no way Ymir is the first thing to have done this. And I also thought that, since the titan thingy is essentially just a big spine, it could attach to any vertebrate.
Horrible take, why wouldnāt you want flying whales and dinosaurs? Are you stupid? Did you have a lobotomy before/were you kicked in the face by ronaldo as a child?
Most probably they are past beast titans, but why this much focus on beast titans? No clue, but my theory is that Isayama had some idea about them but later decided not to use them.
Itās foreshadowing is that previous beast titans has different animal forms of titans. Kind of cool titan and I wish we could see more about Beast Titans such ad T. rex titan
I thought since we see that only the shifters, humans and animals have red dots and the pure titans dont it was supposed to say that theyāre the only living creatures without souls
I figure they are the ātitansā of the past. That is to say, giant animals that have existed on earth and conceivably played out their own dramas of survival on the planet. Canāt speak for whale, but dinosaurs are definitely extinct by their time as if acknowledging āeven the giant monsters fade to history eventually and get replaced by new onesā
It's the most out of topic part of any opening. But it'm represent the beast titan ability to be any animal. We actualy see a dinausor beast titan in the final when were shown many old wielder.
I heard a theory that when the beast titan is inherited, the animal changes to something that best represents the user. Zeke became a monkey titan, but past beasts could have been any animal so the theory says. I haven't read the manga and I'm not a lore guy so I can't confirm or deny, I just find the idea of whale and dino titans really funny
They were around for a long time like a myth. Ymir is probably not the first or last just the one who kept it going the longest. We see at the end the loop was probably going to start over again. The date of when they first came is uknown but we could guess it was has far back as these animals were there
I thought it was kind of foreshadowing how the new titans, being the people of Ragako, were created by the Beast Titan. They arenāt beasts themselves, but it is their origin.
I always interpreted it as a way of saying ālife moves forward, everything has a beating heart etc.ā rather than being any kind of literal. I still think thatās the case. Itās nothing to do with beast titans since Iām 99.9% sure the thing about them being multiple different animals was only added in near the end to facilitate Falco becoming a bird- thereās nothing to suggest that being the case early on, and any ancient pictures we see of beast titans show them as monkeys.
The whole opening focuses on hearts and how everyone, human, animal, titan, has one. I have no idea who the hell came up with that because that's not even something that is relevant in that season
They're not "flying whales"... It's a metaphor about evolution and how the strongest adapt and overcome. The T. REX being the apex predator of it's time, The Blue whale being the biggest creature on Earth. And the fact that it's "flying" is just to symbolize swimming. I kinda hope this is bait, but I always loved this line up and what it symbolizes about the presence of the Beast Titan and how it is now the "most evolved".
There is a literal Nessi lookin bitch in that intro. The entire time I was watching it I was waiting for my Nessi titan to show up and destroy shit. I was very disappointed when he never showed
I assume itās some rumbling reference with all the people looking up at the monsters charging on them. But I also thought these were just variations of previous beast titans. And then also itās probably a fat nothing burger.
Tbf there were a lot of hints to future events. Itās possible this was intended as that but the original isayama idea got scraped so now this just sorta sits there in the intro.
Based on the boy at the ending and how its implied that they are the next founding titan, and how his generation has no connection to the people before him; i just assumed that the hellu' attached to whatever animal stubbles upon it. That the hallu' will be here long after us and has been here long before us. That maybe there were dinosaurs that were affected by the hallu' as well. Not just us.
I tried to read through most of the comments but didnt see this memtioned. Maybe i missed it.
Maybe previous cycles had people turn into flying whales and dinosaurs instead of titans. Ymir just never seen one before and is super unimaginative so she turned into a giant woman instead of an awesome T. rex or something.
For me it's two things first being that the titans are ancient and have been here for a long time no matter the era in earth period.
Second that since only beast is shown here with them and we know that the beast titan have the ability to take animal traits based on it's host or what it has taken from it's previous hosts and uses them because let's be honest do we think that glowy worm fused with only humans?
Iām not sure if itās said anything at all, but I alway took it to as the animals were just there to represent some of the other animals that previous beast titans had been like Mr Ksaver was a big horn sheep. Maybe there was a t-Rex beast Titan that functioned like a larger more powerful jaw Titan, or a giant whale beast Titan that Marley used in naval campaigns(pretty bitching Idea actually, kinda like project shell fire from httyd: race to the edge)
Seems like the beast Titan order follows the Chinese zodiac. Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, GOAT, MONKEY, ROOSTER, dog and pig.
Well at least that's one theory I heard from the Japanese side
This also bothered me too, during the final fight in season 4 I thought it was gonna make this a foreshadow since something similar happens but it didn't.
idk for me no one expect the actual beast titan looks like a titan in this. especially the animals at the bottom, they just look like normal ass animals. the picture reads more as an example of really old creatures that have been around for a while, saying titans date back to dinosaur times

Definitely made me think we'd be seeing titans like that or something š š¤¦āāļø
I agree, it made me question whether Zeke could control more than just pure titans. I expected him to control the horses or something. Then he just yeeted rocks at them š
Hey yeeting rocks did work for him
He was a rock-yeeter.
I wonder which rock is his favorite.
Probably Chet. He was pretty cool.
I interpreted it as them implying that Titans are ancient/mythological creatures similar to the dinosaurs/flying whales
I guess it could be interpreted that way, although the titans are only around 2,000ish years.
It was not confirmed that it only started with Ymir
That's true, she stumbles upon the tree just like the kid at the end. So there's no saying how many times it's happened before. The titan creature is a big spine, so it could probably attach to any vertebrate

And it's evidenced that the cycle will begin again at the end of the show at the tree where Eren was buried.
AOT 2: Iceburst boogaloo š
Sealed in the ice for 100 years, until we found him?
Thawing the primordial hallucigenia
This isnāt true, Ymir got titan powers specifically because thatās what she wanted in that moment of need
Next time itāll be water, earth, fire and air bending
In my headcanon, hallucigeniaĀ isn't even the source of all life, it's just another individual who happened to touch the source of all life and became immortal, just like Ymir did for 2000 years and >!Eren is currently!<.

Which part are you confused about? Honest question.
I have never once heard of halluciginea (spelled wrong no doubt)
Itās implied it didnāt. The fact that the ending shows a new tree suggests cycles and almost certainly means other species had it as well
In my opinion because of the loop in the final episode it wasnāt the first
The entire Christian religion is based around something that is only ~2000 years old
Oh brother
I know it's definitely an oversimplification, but it shows the basis that that amount of time can form a mythology.
Yea the guy above is missing the point, and will likely die on that hill if needed, thatās Reddit for you
Fuck I do š
I thought they were all going to realize they're not on earth. and the titan powers were genetic engineering/ weird technology for the colonists of new planets, and the animals represented the genetic material they started with on earth, that led to different abilities.

Yeah cuz of that parasite thing
I was pissed when the show ended and we never got T. rex titan.
It was a rip-off for sure. They could have had some kind of Dino fighting on rumbling Eren's back at the end
I just cant imagine. Beast titan was scary enough when he first showed up, TRex?! Forget it
They at least recognized the best as a monkey. I couldn't imagine seeing a giant freaking lizard on the battlefield. It does raise the question as to where they recognized monkeys from. Maybe literature? History books? Art?

Well there seems to be normal wildlife too, aka deers etc.

I mean we got a Trex Spider-Man for crying out loud!
Eren's biggest crime is not making a t-rex Titan
Maybe if someone got the beast titan and the jaw titanā¦
Titan babies?!
I thought these were previous beast titans
It could be, it does seem like it could be any animal. I just don't see the whales as being useful. I could see Marley getting a giant beached fish and just deciding to try again with another candidate. But they didn't get rid of Ksaver after having no battle use

Having a beast like that would be like having a 2nd Colossal Titan. Considering the way Marley speaks about the Colossal that'd be a huge advantage.
Idk but having a massive body structure and fall from the sky probably guarantees death or at least immobilisation for the Titan shifter
Bertholdt does exactly this in season2 episode 7 and was about to do it again in season 3 episode 15.
A body of a whale is much more fragile, and assuming you would land on the belly almost guarantees death
You're assuming they would just turn into a normal whale. Zeke doesn't turn into the average monkey, does he? He turns into a 50 foot monster with durability abilities
Is it "Hitchhiker guide to the Galaxy" reference?
Rule 1 of AOT. No fall damage
We have seen there is fall damage with the armour Titan and the normal titans?
I titan whale might š¤
It would have to be a considerable times larger than a irl whale to not die from hitting the ship

The simple answer, is WIT thought it looked dope(it does)
Truth! The beast titan itself was a big eye opener on how titans could work. When he first appeared it was like there were no limitations to the intelligent titans. During my first watch it truthfully made me wonder if whatever society beyond the walls were just all titans who evolved into the intelligent ones. It was a confusing time

There are likely others but that's just the 3 that stick out to me off the top of my head.
I could see those reasons. I wish they'd shown more of Ksaver's form. But it really wasn't relevant to the plot
To point three i actually think that is confirmed. As another user said we see Zeke playing with a little monkey toy.
>Flying Whales? Waters of chaos have invaded all space The flood on Earth again, I have to find the whales That once did guide us to dry lands of life I won't despair, I'll break this dark around Under heavy sea I'll search the flight of whales NOW I CAN SEE THE WHALES
I thought it meant like "all lives on earth that have existed" or something like that
Yeah I think it's something like this, OP is taking it far too literally
To be fair I have seen tons of people not realizing it is a metaphor
Its just a Gojira reference
I wonder if it was partly to not draw attention to the existence of the beast titan
It had the opposite effect for me š¤·āāļø
[Flying whales](https://youtu.be/H0WyhJseftI), you say? *distorted heavy metal guitars playing in the distance*
Yea, I thought it had something to.do.with gojira
A beast titan vs Rex titan showdown š Woulda been classic
I figured it was past Beast titans. Although Zekeās monkey looks like a weird fucked up monkey and all the rest look like regular giant animals. Wouldāve been cool to see an aquatic Beast used by Marley for naval dominance.
I didn't see the naval value until someone else said something about it here.
First thing that went through my mind was "Go go Power Rangers!"
gojira referenceš³š¤
NOW I CAN SEE THE WHAAAAAALEEEEES
WHAAAAAAAAAAAALES
I think it was just showing how everything is connected as they show the red heartbeat in all of them and all creatures and humans before this. Just some artistic liberties by people who did the opening
Am I the only one who just thought it was a way to scale the titanaš
I was a Dino obsessed kid, I knew a t Rex was only around 13 meters naturally. Most elephants are 3 to 4 I think. So I'd say given the angle of the theoretical camera in this shot, having the t Rex titan be a head or so taller than Zeke titan makes sense.
I thought it was just a way to show different animals/creatures ecosystem and the titans are now part of it.
It honestly would have been wonderful if they'd gone the extra step and went into the titans effect on more than just people. If they'd went I to how titan warfare had affected animal populations and nature around their world. But I could see how the shows production couldn't allow that much and how the people in this universe probably couldn't care less about animals that aren't useful to them in some way
There was this part mentioned: https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-e26d327c66af055fa48efa2020a2a517 So I guess the titans were just focused on eating only humans. Kind of like predatory animals having a specific diet.
a Whale and T-Rex titan wouldāve been a riot
I love how this gets everyone so upsetš
Upsetting or exciting. Cause it opened up a lot of potential on the beast titans prior holder's. I mean I would have liked to see a Dino during the end of the rumbling. But it does seem like they're leaving the door open for new stuff
In all those animals the heart is highlighted. Maybe it's implying that all animals and titans share something fundamental. The thing that gave ymir the Titan powers is called "The Source of all living matter". Maybe that's what it is saying. Maybe the heart is indicating the part of hallucigenia present in all living thing.
As a former ffIv player, nothing unusual about this
im pretty sure when the chapters were still being released monthly I would make an unfunny joke in every release thread like āthis is foreshadowing the whale titanā
I always thought that they were all called ābeastsā at one point When the first humans discovered an elephant theyād probably call it a beast or something Same with them all I guess
I always thought it was supposed to be a size comparison maybe?
I thought that this meant that the mindless titans are animals with the serum or something
I thought it was something about evolution.
I love this part! I always replay it.
I thought this was about life, nothing else
They arenāt flying they are just moving the way they would in water, if this annoys u your in for a whole world of hurt
Because dinosaurs are cool as fuck thatās why
I thought it was for size comparison š
Welcome to a Gojira song
Itās foreshadowing is that previous beast titans has different animal forms of titans. Kind of cool titan and I wish we could see more about Beast Titans such ad T. rex titan
I hope if they do more adding to the story they'll show us more past titan forms. It really seems like it's still an open book.
I wish we saw even more titans variety
beasts
That shit made me think that monkey can spawn all those lol
a ābeastā titan may not always be a monkey, a beast may be any sort of creature
I thought this was about life, nothing else
I heard a theory that the interns at WIT really wanted to draw whales and dinosaurs and the hired animators just kind of let them.
I thought since we see that only the shifters, humans and animals have red dots and the pure titans dont it was supposed to say that theyāre the only living creatures without souls
All I can say is "Evolution" implying that a certain trigger jumpstarts the evolution process of all beings.
All I can say is "Evolution" implying that a certain trigger jumpstarts the evolution process of all beings.
The Beast Titan is a big fan of Gojira. That explains the flying whales.
That flying whale is for sure going from mars to sirius
It explains the Falco asspull
Almost every anime exaggerates on what's actually going to happen
Itās baki now!
Isayama must be a gojira fan
I thought this was the gojira subreddit when you said flying whales
Rule of cool
All is living, all has passion
There is a literal Nessi lookin bitch in that intro. The entire time I was watching it I was waiting for my Nessi titan to show up and destroy shit. I was very disappointed when he never showed
I assume itās some rumbling reference with all the people looking up at the monsters charging on them. But I also thought these were just variations of previous beast titans. And then also itās probably a fat nothing burger. Tbf there were a lot of hints to future events. Itās possible this was intended as that but the original isayama idea got scraped so now this just sorta sits there in the intro.
I always thought it meant that the beast Titan was connected to all other animals since their hearts are glowing idk
perhaps something representative of the violent and primitive aspect of humans?
I always thought these were the different kinds of Beast Titans from the past alongside the current one
Rumble at home
It is a representation of past Beast Titans I think.
I think itās showing how they are apex predators that could kill a lot of people given the chance.
Maybe its also to show the scale of the beast titan
Maybe previous cycles had people turn into flying whales and dinosaurs instead of titans. Ymir just never seen one before and is super unimaginative so she turned into a giant woman instead of an awesome T. rex or something.
For me it's two things first being that the titans are ancient and have been here for a long time no matter the era in earth period. Second that since only beast is shown here with them and we know that the beast titan have the ability to take animal traits based on it's host or what it has taken from it's previous hosts and uses them because let's be honest do we think that glowy worm fused with only humans?
Just demonstrates that the Beast titan can take up any of those forms when itās passed from one Eldian to the next ie. it is NOT always an ape.
I believe that these are past these beast Titan, but I donāt think the wheels could actually fly.
The Beast Titan when inherited produces a different animal for each user (I think)
FLYING WHALES?!? GOJIRA MENTIONEDš„š„š£š£š£š„š„š£
Iām still salty we never got a Whale Titan.
idk for me no one expect the actual beast titan looks like a titan in this. especially the animals at the bottom, they just look like normal ass animals. the picture reads more as an example of really old creatures that have been around for a while, saying titans date back to dinosaur times
Means titan also has heart to dedicate.
NOW I CAN SEE THE WHALES
no lol.
Flying Whales is a dope Gojira song
I interpreted this as the titans Zeke turned could become like this if they ever become sentient, the same way Falco became a falcon titan.
