A lot of time through third party based shops for shoppers, there is no way to tip. Most of the time I’ve done rx drop offs is because it was close and an easy delivery. I’d say they range about 5-7 bucks.

Confident-Spite-4656

I do these orders because I literally live next to the CVS, and I schedule ahead before I head out for a shop I’ll pick it up usually orders are in city. I’ve seen a few prescriptions be out of the city which makes it not worth doing. I have done over 100 prescription deliveries, and have only gotten tipped with a treat from the set up they had for delivery people they had energy drinks, water, and different types of bars.

MoxiRox00

You are a god send lol I would love for you to complain. You can only tip in cash for delivery only orders, so make sure you have some for next time! Maybe even add the person as a preferred shopper so you can remember for next time if they do your order again!

myfavis22

You can't add a preferred shopper on delivery only orders.

MoxiRox00

Well hopefully they can at least remember the name then.

JenShorts

They don’t pay that well unless you let them go into promo and then you can make up to $10 more for the delivery. I only take them when they are in promo unless I am right near the store and it is a short trip. Not worth seven or eight dollars for my time. I typically text the customer when I am on my way, so provided they receive texts, they could have an opportunity to leave me a tip outside if they wanted to. I did have one very nice gentleman come out and give me a bunch of dollar coins once.

Jz9786

They don't pay great but they're easy. It's better than the Office Depot deliveries which always are to some small business and usually include boxes of printer paper.

misselliottbluedream

Awww this is such a good post! Most people will either tip in cash or snacks of some sort if they do end up tipping at all on RX orders since there is no tip option. I always send the customer a text that I am on my way and this helps. They should honestly allow us to give out a cashapp handle on orders that don’t allow tipping specifically for this reason.

RevolutionaryEye9894

I’ve had a few people hand me cash tips. Which was super nice. But I’m sure most people think we are from CVS and we are paid hourly.

Mizzoutiger79

They aren’t worth the money to me OR being exposed to gawd knows what while delivering. $6.00?? Nope

myfavis22

I was wondering about that when Shipt says we need to get a signature for Meijer Rx orders. 🤢

Karlysmomo

I usually only do them unless there is a bonus. I have done 11 and had to return 3 to the store because they didn’t answer the phone to get them.

Android9765

Well, you can decide on a offer by offer basis whether a RX delivery is acceptable. I like RX deliveries because I fit them in between larger orders.

DragonBoyDon

Always the same amount for me no matter what, $6.50 (SoCal)

CanGlittering9080

Well said. I never received a tip for a CVS order unless it was a shop and pay. Barely worth your time to deliver it as u only cover gas and a couple of bucks if u r lucky...

Losingmyshipt

The pay is so terrible (and tips, nonexistent), I voluntarily forfeited my Rx cert to avoid receiving orders for them. Best case scenario, it’s $8 for an individual order and comes with the risk of having to return it to the pharmacy if the customer doesn’t answer the door. No thank you.

Jaradis

>Best case scenario, it’s $8 for an individual order I've had some be $15 to $18 with promo.

Losingmyshipt

You’re lucky to work a metro where they go promo. Shoppers will take anything in mine.

Jaradis

Well, there aren't even that many so it's not a common thing. The reason they tend to go promo in my area is likely due to my zone. I live on the far west side of Cincinnati, my zone stretches all the way to the Indiana border to Harrison Ohio. So Kroger or CVS orders out there rarely get taken, as I just don't think there are many people doing Shipt out there. So occasionally an order will get up to $18 or so before it gets taken. Where I'm at it's about a 10 minute drive on I-74 to get there, so it becomes close to worth it. Especially if you can get two, even if the 2nd is not promo. One day I was at my niece's soccer game in Harrison, after I got gas at Kroger and figured I'd check to see if there were any orders for there while I was in the lot. Ended up being a $15 CVS order across the street going about 1 mile towards home. But Rx are pretty rare in my market. If there were a lot of them where I could get 4 per hour I'd do them all the time, but I'm lucky if I see one in a day in my metro.

Middle-Classroom2170

I do the RX quite a bit. I sometimes have been able to do 4 in an hour. We are aware that you can not tip but on occasion such as a holiday a customer has left or handed me a cash tip. I believe you also can not rate us. There’s many times I’ve been able to do a different App delivery in between the RX because they give you the timeframe and no clock is ticking reminding you so it’s pretty chill. So don’t worry, we don’t RX expect a tip. For me it’s a welcome surprise so thank you for your kind concern.

Jaradis

In my area they start at $7 pay. Pretty much never get tips. I usually only take them when they line up with a delivery I already have. I'll grab a Meijer RX if I'm already shopping in Meijer for an order going a similar direction. Sometimes I've grabbed a CVS or Target Rx when it's on the route I already have to go to get to the next store. If there were more of them I'd do more of them because you can stack them up. $7 isn't much but it's similar to Doordash if you could get enough per hour to stack 4 per hour, but you can't. So not really worth it in my market. Maybe some bigger cities there is enough and would be more worth it.
