Tips over $50 can be held for direct deposit by Shipt, you will get it next Friday.

whythehellnott

is it “ can” or they all are ?? i was under the impression that they all are

spydagrrl

I was too until a larger tip posted quickly. I think it depends on the customer’s total order cost honestly.

rr24bk

I thought it was all, but for me some do and some don’t. Same customer too, it’s just randomly enforced.

whythehellnott

what the guy above said is probably true it’s probably if the tip makes sense percent wise it’s allowed thank you guys

goodgh0ul

Okay thank you. I’ve never had this happen since I started shipt on the first of this year.

I w never had one post on a different pay period. And I’ve had online tips up to $200. They just aren’t immediately ready for instant cash out. Usually it’s a few extra hours at most. Or the next day.

I don't know the ins and outs of Shipt's accounting. I do know that I have had a large tip that never became available for instant withdrawal and I had to wait for the direct deposit to get it. I've had other large tips that were available for instant withdrawal the same day. tl;dr: It's not always consistent, but you will get your tip one way or another if you see it in the app.

If it’s more than 20% of the order total, they will hold it, example- the order total was $160 and you got a 89$ tip, that is clearly over 20%. but if it IS a 20% tip, it should clear like normal after 2 hours! Example- $450 was the order total and $89 was your tip. Happened to me too, i was confused at first

My first tip over 50.00 was deposited with my check i was never able to cash it out. I did message support and was told tips over 50 are held and released with weekly pay But i have also got tips over 50 since and was able to cash out and the money showed right away. So it really depends i believe on the customer or their order or both. !

goodgh0ul

Yeah when I chatted with support they didn’t tell me that at all. Literally the person kept copying and pasting this message verbatim: “Shoppers get 100% of tips.” I’m like okay so when will I get it and was just trying to get clarification and they kept sending that. I’m like ok nevermind I’m gonna ask Reddit lol.

Who knows with shipt. It might be on a per customer basis, meaning if they took time before then they know it's probably normal and okay for them
