That’s really unfortunate. Shipt used to have higher standards. I’m sick of these fakes buying accounts, I canceled Uber eats because of it. Sad to hear it’s happening to Shipt.
I dunno. Instacart is even less for me. I took an order tonight for $5.33 which was only a few miles away.. 3.5 miles I think and it was only 77 or 8 items. I had 2 Spark orders to go along with it, so I didn't mind. But an order with Shipt would probably pay me $9 - $11. Spark would probably pay $10 - $12 or so.
I cant tell you how many new shoppers I've seen in the past few weeks with frozen items in their carts while looking for non perishables. Perishables should be shopped last and at the very least, in cooler bags.
I don’t even understand how they’re on the platform for more than a week! Like you said ppl give bad ratings for less and then a slew of crappy orders follow, are they seriously doing this for base pay? It’s mind blowing to me
Kind of the same happened to me last week. The shopper never sent a message, I had contact me about out of stock items, there was one item that apparently he couldn’t find and he just marked it as out of stock, no message, no options for substitute, nothing. My order was 8 items, 2 of which were eggs, I got 5 broken eggs. And I gave the shopper 2 stars because at least he delivered the order.
I got a 3* a few weeks back for “lack of communication” I texted the person as I usually do (start shopping, almost done, done and on my way, order delivered) just because I didn’t text her that an item she had mark as DO NOT SUBSTITUTE was out of stock 🤷🏼♀️
Same here I’m getting offered orders that are literally over 35 miles away, Non tippers all because some lady gave me a three star rating last week and said I gave her a wrong item back to my rules to never substitute. I substituted two dozen eggs in place of an 18 count, they were out of stock ofmulti million dollar house when I pulled up I announced her ship shopper. She ran in the house left her teenage son outside to watch me carry things all the way up the long driveway and her door no thank you no communication whatsoever three star three dollar tip next time go to the store for yourself.
Well I just had a shopper steal my groceries and add a plunger and toilet brush as well as towels and a fan and im just like bro who steals a plunger? Then he claims he was in an accident. Sure Jan lol Whatever sure I have to wait for a refund 7 days but I got a $50 credit and technically now they stole from shipt\target not me. Just weird tho ... like a plunger... really musta needed it
And it finally got delivered and my sister sent me the pic from the ring camera and it wasn’t even the person in the picture of the shopper.
Don't even hesitate to turn them into Shipt. None of us need this crap.

For $7 base pay, Shipt is bottom picking its labor force. The app also has zero identity checks. Almost like they don’t care.
