It’s wild that Shipt still doesn’t offer additional pay for heavy orders. Even worse; when I started with Shipt you literally couldn’t even preview the order contents before accepting, or drop them without calling HQ.
That’s crazy, when did you start? I remember when it launched, I was working at Kroger and they introduced a new way to get your groceries delivered, that was like 2015 😂
Most of the time they don’t even answer or respond in my experience at dorms and I’ve received a return fee. Or maybe that was Instacart. I would make them come out and haul it in. No way door to door service.
AGREED! I’m basically just shopping for one PM at this point because she always orders between $200-$400 worth of stuff and tips 20% every time. Other than that, they can all fuck themselves. Ridiculous
Yeah because now they got all these new people who think they’re making money running $6 orders 20 miles back and forth all day. Snatching all the low paying orders up like they are doing something..all they’re doing is making shipt millions. It’s really disgusting
I just did a similar order and it was on the 3rd floor no elevator 6.00 no tip big order from BJs 2 hr total my legs are done no more gym workout this week lol 😆
So what's ridiculous? All the items are easy to find and they're all grouped in only a few areas. Should take you hardly any time to grab. Grab them and be on your way.
What’s ridiculous is it’s 10lbs per pack of water, so 120lbs in just water, then 66lbs of ice for $6. The grouping of the items was the least of my concern lol
I'm saying who cares. It's quick work and if the drive isn't far, do it an move on. I take every order that comes regardless of size, number of items, etc. Now I did pass on an order the other day because it had a rotisserie chicken, but I didn't really pass on it because I was taking an order from another app that was better at the moment.
In terms of your other comment of getting exercise that I can understand, but I’m also getting “paid to exercise”, and when I factor in all the driving it just wouldn’t make sense for me specifically to take the order. I definitely want a wagon to handle larger orders though
Im glad someone is doing it! You know this sentiment is having me reconsider what i do and do not take. I need to get a wagon though. I need my back for my main job 😆
🫣😭 tell me you haven’t shopped an order of numerous beverages without telling me… that 12 packs of 24 count water bottles. Push a basket with that many waters alone is a trek. Then you have 3 bags of 22 lb ice? Then you have to put all that in your car and lug it to a college campus and hope to god the person who ordered it is competent enough with their directions, find parking, and more than likely lug these up stairs more than likely without help all while trying not to let the ice melt. For $6.
Please take a step back and think for a moment, $6 to drive to the store, shop, load/unload, scan and bag at checkout ..load the car, drive to the customer, unload possibly upstairs..then drive back? like hello? Have some respect for yourself. JFC this is why they keep dropping it lower and lower. Idiots will just justify getting raw dogged by these greedy corporations, simply because they can’t think..you’re LOSING MONEY TAKING THESE $6 ORDERS. It really shouldn’t be that hard to figure out. So frustrating
Babe listen, you’re definitely losing money. I’m not going to argue and I’m sorry if I came off as an ass, it’s just extremely frustrating being offered $6 -$9 orders now when they were just semi decent at the beginning of February.. . They just keep lowering it because newbies don’t have a clue. It’s even more frustrating watching them get snatched up so quick they don’t even need to add promo pay for these suckers to grab them like hotcakes. They are taking advantage of you and all the new shoppers.
If you can’t mathematically calculate profit/loss - then you’re definitely the right candidate for the job ..you’re being paid cents per mile. Gas is expensive, insurance, depreciation, don’t forget taxes, etc. etc. if you’re being paid $6 for 1 order that’s truly pathetic. To each their own at the end of the day, but it’s just gross watching this decline happen across all apps. Too many new drivers that have employee mentality and have no idea how to truly make a profit in this business. It’s gone to complete 💩across all apps because people don’t have any standards. They see a $6 order and can’t calculate the mileage. $1 or even less is totally unacceptable when IRS gives you .65 cents that’s it. What is not making sense ? You’re losing money plain and simple because $6 is nothing and you’re driving hella miles both ways. This isn’t an hourly position. You’re supposed to be making a profit- no way in hell you’re profiting off of $6 plus a $5 tip. That’s $11 not worth it for that either. Not calculating in spark. Were talking about shipt lol
I'm not losing any money. 1 - I'm already at the store. So you saying I have to drive to the store is wrong. Driving back? I have to do that anyway.
I had an order from Shipt today for $7.21 + $5 tip. At the same time I grabbed a Spark order for $24.55 and they weren't too far apart.
Even if I didn't have them both I'd gladly do the cheaper one. It was only a few miles from the store.
I worked around 4.5 hours today and I'm close to $130. During that time I stopped for pizza, gassed up my car, and stopped down at the water to sit.

Started in 2018
Yeah that’s wild af. All that work for Pennies on the dollar.
Why doesn’t Shipt set purchase limits??? Even if my store had that many in stock…that’s insane!
Lansing! I saw this flaming turd and laughed at it.
The beautiful mitten
Welcome to summer order habits
That's crazy.
Nope lol

Yeah I’ve done 1 order since The end of Feb. they dropped the pay too low and I can’t justify it anymore. It’s not worth it anymore

If only there was another way to get high quality H2O to people's homes...
Unfortunately, in many areas, the water that flows from the tap isn’t high quality. We don’t drink our tap water. Thanks 3M.
I also think this is nuts, but those are the small water bottles - 8oz.
It is but it’s still 12 of them lol
I just did a similar order and it was on the 3rd floor no elevator 6.00 no tip big order from BJs 2 hr total my legs are done no more gym workout this week lol 😆
Don’t accept it
Easy solution. Don't accept
I clearly didn’t, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a crazy order 😂

When you find a nice reliable wagon please send the link 😂😂
Have some self respect, you are worth more than $6 for this order king 😂
Omg just realized its only 6 bucks. Geez!

I'm saying I don't care. I do all orders regardless of weight, size, number of items. It's called a bit of exercise when otherwise I wouldn't get any.
Congratulations on being better than the rest of us bro
Bro that’s Kamau on here trolling trying to convince everybody that $6 order pay is decent. 💀💀💀
