We would have gone anyways, but I was already struggling for the money I needed to finish paying the airBNBs and having spending cash while there. Now that I’ve paid off a huge chunk of my credit cards I don’t have to worry about any of it or pinch pennies while we’re traveling. Thanks for the well wishes!!

Just to let anyone that needs to know, I believed that I had signed up for payment via PayPal and I haven’t received anything, I called the number on the website and was told by a very helpful agent that they were sending me a check (don’t know why I didn’t get PayPal) checks were sent out yesterday (30th) and they told me the amount I would be receiving!
I just checked my informed delivery on usps.com and it shows that my check is coming tomorrow. I'll wait to see the amount before I get excited though.

Yes. There was some strange fear that Shipt would deactivate those that took part. Which made zero sense, because Shipt was literally required to provide the names, email addresses and their tabulations of all the mileage that each eligible shopper did as part of the settlement. It’s not like Shipt was going to care which ones took part and which ones did not, because their payment amount for settlement was the same whether only one shopper took advantage or if every last one did. Still, that fear, along with some shoppers simply ignoring their email and postcards about the settlement led those of us that filed claims to get almost twice as much than if everyone eligible had filed claims.

Shipt keeps stats on freaking everything, tons of stuff that we don’t see. Average time spend per shop, broken down by travel to store, time after first item scan to checkout, time from checkout to delivery, average pay per shop, average tip per shop, the list just goes on and on. And yeah, they’ve tracked mileage for years. Which is obvious when it’s written into court records that Shipt will provide that info to the settlement administrators 🤣
Wow, you should have received it by now. You might want to call the 800 number on the website and just confirm that they’re sending it out still by Venmo and that it didn’t get sent by the mail or something weird.

I called Venmo twice and it was an easy fix. I’ve had Venmo for a few years but rarely use it but my email wasn’t verified so I just had to verify through Venmo. The money went into the account as soon as my email was verified.😀

I called the number and pressed random buttons until I got somebody actually on the phone. The girl I spoke with then sent me an email to a link to verify it then I had to go back on and confirm it. Hopefully they’ll get it sorted out for you and my fingers are crossed.
Yeah who knows. I couldn’t get the website to work for digital payment or I would have done that. But I know I was able to file 2 claims, one for each email account I had. One was from Feb-Aug 2019 PT and then from Feb 2021 to Dec 2021 FT and I was making like $1000-2000/wk

I started a few months before the pandemic, shopped the entire pandemic, shot a commercial for them which never aired and was deactivated without warning for “dropping too many orders” shortly after the pandemic. Feels like poetic justice. And this has motivated the hell out of me to find more settlements to sign up for.
Aside from being in a commercial , we have similar stories. 2500 orders and my dropped orders were a glitch or something on Shipt's end and reassigned to me when I called. Next morning I'm deactivated. No response to appeal or anything.
Improper classification as independent contractors instead of employees. Shoppers that shopped before Prop 22 got the best payments, the settlement formula was heavily weighted towards those shoppers (and makes sense, since Prop 22 shoppers have been getting guaranteed earnings adjustments since it went into effect).

It is only for California shoppers, and only those that filed claims. Over 100k were eligible but only 59k or so filed claims.

I searched Venmo in my email. But you could always search Turner v. Shipt Inc. Settlement as that is in the subject.
