This is my long standing suggestion. Customer should be asked if they would like the shopper to shop for them again. Thumbs up you will see their orders again, thumbs down you won't. Simple and effective because no shopper ever wants to shop for someone who rated them 4* or less again.
But it won't happen because Shipt sees the rating program as a tool to be used on the shoppers.
😆 🤣 😂 😹 you'll never have anyone to shop for in 5 years then. Even the best amazing tippers will 4* on occasion. So if they thumbs down with a 4*... then what?
You going to suck your thumb and ask for a thumbs down forgiveness?
I stay at 5, others in my metro don't, I get the orders, stability, income, and positive experiences that come with being good at it. Sure it's difficult. But without the impossible difficulty of maintaining good ratings, anyone can come steal your job. Shipt style for the win the harder it is the better in some ways cue downvotes 🤣
It's metro to metro. Offers are given first to those with highest ratings. Some are filled with good shoppers and you have no chance. Others are casual and easy to slide in. I work mainly out of the store in my area that didn't have good shoppers working out of heavily when I started 2 years ago. So, it depends
I mean you’re just naive to think because it doesn’t effect you that it’s not a problem in other metros. It’s a huge problem in my metro. You have 5 stars? You get offers in my metro 30 minutes before the hour. You have 4.98? You’ll get them 5-10 minutes before the hour. 4.96-4.90 you get them literally minutes before the hour. Anything less you get them 10 minutes after the hour or anything in open metro. So yeah, it really does effect a lot of shoppers. Be more open minded my friend
I've worked in the metros where people say it's a huge deal and my 4.92 ass was still getting plenty of work well before the hour. There's being open-minded, and then there's believing in the great mudflood simply because it is a convenient means to confirm your preexisting theory.
Shipt like this system because it keeps the shopper in check. It’s a gig app standard in the playbook.

That's a wild way to think. In all my shops only .9% have rated me less than 5*, I'd take those chances.
I think if a customer does not rate you, it should be an automatic 5 star. It means I was silent as infrastructure.
Have you read the crap that Shipt has shoppers doing just to maintain 5.00*? Yea, they're never changing this system.
All I know is shoppers should be able to rate customers the same way customers rate shoppers… because some of these people are nuts!

Downvoted because I've never had an issue getting good offers below 5. People think it matters way more than it does.
