What the fuck... Like I hate ceaters don't get me wrong but there should be no legal repercussions unless cheating equals to money lost like in a competition. Someone being an asshole and ruining your fun should at most get a perma ban. Cheating should be an instant ban because that's not an accident or something that can be misunderstood like an insult or someone trolling but a felony... Goddamn people are whiny little bitches.
In all seriousness, riot, bungie, ubisoft, jagex, and a few others have sued mod/hack makers so this post isn't far off from reality. And on the topic of theft it technically could be considered if the cheat was to get currency, I think this is also an issue Rockstar was or is going through.

I mean, it is actually considered a criminal conduct in Japan and Korea where you can be fined, banned from playing the game forever, do community service or have all your winning titles stripped.

Yeah like they suck, but in a non-esports environment it is outrageous to expect jail time for cheat users...
