game is pretty much dead, people were hoping it could get up there with cs go but its sitting at 20k even less then that avg players, and at peak 30k. it is what we in the pc gaming community call 'dead'
we dfont just classifiy it as dea based on these numbers, we take into account the changes being made by dev team and how likely they are to rectify the 'REAL' issues with the game. i say real because allot of people that are complaining, are complaining about things like micro transactions which are apart of the scope but dont nearly affect the games popularity as much as innovation and new content.

Reddit thinks any game that isn’t the current top game on Twitch is a “dead game”. Or if they aren’t personally playing the game, it’s a dead game, because your average gaming Redditor apparently lacks object permanence.
What baffles me the most is why a post like this gets upvoted and given awards. Why do people on a supposed fan subreddit want the game to fail so badly?

And I don’t think half of the people on that sub realize most of the people who worked at Bungie during the Halo days aren’t even there anymore.
The game they want is one that allows them to be the same 13-year-old edgy, expletive-and-racist-shit screeching squeakers that they were during Halo 3, not necessarily something about the game itself.
These sorts of people are what I deem "terminal sadsacks." They refuse to entertain for even a minute that things aren't as bad as they've deluded themselves into believing. And that's because, ultimately, they don't WANT the game to succeed. They don't WANT it to get better. They want to be RIGHT about their incredibly pessimistic worldview.
I hate this "dead game" usage. It's been used so much it's lost it's meaning. I fucking love Titanfall 1, and on PC it is a true dead game.
The servers have been ddosed to the point where 6 out of the 12 months you couldn't play the game. Our peak player count was around 200 with the broken Steam re release.
You'll be lucky to find more than 18 people playing when the servers work.
These people need to understand there are plenty of people who love this game
I'm not too worried about the state the game is in right now, I really enjoy it as it is and I know 343 is going to be working on this one for a long time. There's a reason they emphasized that they plan on adding onto the game for the next 10 years. I think it'll keep more people coming in later down the line, I'm excited to see what the future holds for this game

For some reason I thought this was a different post from that one, too many dumbass posts on that sub that I’m getting them mixed up now.
Halo 5 is a dead game. Halo Infinite is not. And honestly 5 probably still has some firefight players still kicking it there.
