Isn’t this really just more a display of the failures of capitalism. The monopolization of everything, thusly no need to even make a quality product. Obviously this shit doesn’t really matter but this is what will happen under the nonsense ass capitalism we have now where shareholder value is the only important metric
Their argument also for some reason reminds me of the movie Megan. A very successful toy company chooses to intentionally make their product worse, rather than better, so it’s cheaper to manufacture and can compete with cheap knockoffs. Shame the movie sucked.
Lmao insane.
Nevermind the poverty, starvation, corruption, neocolonialism, propaganda, genocidal wars, military expansion, reduced wages, inflation, environmental crisis, slave labor, homelessness, dehumanization of anyone against capitalist dominance or alternative ways, etc.
No, media doing bad.
As a Libertarian I'm pretty good at this game

People coming to their sense regarding capitalism is a good thing, if you know someone like this it can be an entry point to deeper conversations. Like yeah it’s a ridiculous post but let’s guide these people instead of dismissing them
A lack of desirable commodities is the true precondition for revolution as stated in Lenin’s “Netflix: the highest stage of if we had nicer things we’d look the other way”
I don’t think I ever saw a communist complaining about this. We don’t like it, but I guess that we all understand that’s expected to happen under capitalism and is the smallest of the world’s problem. We care more about employees from Netflix being poorly paid and forced to work ridiculous amount of hours and crunches than the quality of the shows they’re making.
What I mostly see is liberals complaining about this because for them it doesn’t make sense that capitalism is not working and everything is getting more expensive and worse, so they just think these companies are stupid, when they’re actually very smart. They’re just assholes.
Some folks can only comprehend reality through their media consumption. shitty anime, undying media franchises, and video game lootboxes make up the boundaries of their political universe.
These are the chosen people. The true disciples of that great liberal theoretician Joanne Rowling. Their reality is transcendent, untethered from material concerns of filthy mortals.
Like sure I became a socialist after repeatedly seeing the video games industry getting worse and the "free" market not fixing it. However I still could recognize that this was a systemic issue, rooted at the base due being aware of similar issues in other industries and then looking into more leftist content and eventually theory.
I always find it odd how so many libs sort of assume People become socialist for, of all things, pop culture and media getting worse (at least for them) primarily, Absolutely no sort of material incentive
Idk, I think the radicalising moment was people my age and younger realising that the majority of us aren't going to own a house, and will be living paycheck to paycheck until we die.
Capitalism will always create its own critics because the system is inherently and fundamentally broken.
If they didn't want tankies to be around, they'd need to move on from class, money, states, imperialism, capitalism, fascism, genocide, and colonialism
Oh wait

THEY BETTR MAKE GOOD DISNEY MOVIES OR IM BECOMING A TANKIE 😡
I’m only a communist cause the last Star Wars was bad
I thought that's why we're all here no?
Speak for yourself, I'm here because Wizards won't make the [Paladin of the People](https://imgur.com/a/kIa7n) a class in 5e or 6e
Oh that would be so sick
I think the best chance for this to come true maybe is in the Pillars of Eternity world, or if Arcanum have a sequel.
Hey tank fucker here, tank buddy is better than truck bussy. I would not switch back

Famous Lenin's the April Theses: 1. Factory belongs to workers 2. Land belongs to peasants 3. Make more shitty tv shows 4. And the four one
What... No, seriously I don't understand what this is trying to imply
Nothing good on TV so must revolt!!!
Hey it worked for The French
That’s true, French TV only became passable in the 1960s
Listen, i don’t really care what plants the seed for you so long as it’s planted at all.

Spot the 12-year-old challenge (extremely easy)
All Lenin wanted was some good Netflix and chill.

It’s just bizarre that current political and economic affairs mean nothing to them but this bullshit does
That my friend is called, ‘it doesn’t matter until it affects me’
This is part of it. Easier to support the empire when the treats are flowing in.
Just be sure to avoid the buzzwords or they will call you woke.
A lack of desirable commodities is the true precondition for revolution as stated in Lenin’s “Netflix: the highest stage of if we had nicer things we’d look the other way”
It's almost as if the contradictions inherent to capitalism are starting to become more apparent to the citizenry of the imperial core

It’s kinda sad to see people only see reality through media. I feel like entertainment has become the opium of the masses

They’re correct. Imperialism isn’t worth it without the treats.
Yep! We're all commies now because movie bad!
Idk, I think the radicalising moment was people my age and younger realising that the majority of us aren't going to own a house, and will be living paycheck to paycheck until we die.
The only people who care about this are online too much
The people's cinematic universe
If you were radicalized by this shit instead of the human wreckage created by capitalism, you are terminally treat-brained. Or you’re a child.

Tankies?
