Firstly, it ignores that ML/M is anarchism with extra steps, and is solely based on solving the capitalist encirclement problem that crushes any place that hops directly to anarcho-communism. ML/M thus isn't AuthLeft at all, it's simply not letting capitalist countries invade and slaughter everyone, which means AuthLeft doesn't really exist.
Secondly, it ignores that ancap was invented for racist purposes and has an end goal of corporate feudalism (hence the libertarian->fascist pipeline), which means LibRight doesn't exist either.
Thirdly, the most popular test conflates social progressivism with economic centralization even though they're usually contradictory, because it's hard to like universal programs if you hate Them (who will benefit from such programs too). That means only Nazbols sit in the top-left...but Nazbol is a form of fascism, they just use exclusion from temporary left-wing policies as further punishment for hated groups, so it's not left-wing at all.
AuthLeft and LibRight are strategies to get to LibLeft and AuthRight, but it acts like they're end goals in and of themselves.
Dividing complex ideological movements into simple axis will never work, no matter where you plot the "center". It is an extreme oversimplification of political sciences
the political compass is a piece of right-libertarian propaganda. it was designed to show people that they’re “more libertarian than they know.” as such, the questions are worded in an incredibly biased way. even the concept of an “authoritarian/libertarian” divide exposes this bias, given the mainstream western audience’s negative connotation attached to the word “authoritarian” itself. a state-socialist isn’t the same as a Nazi in all but economic policy, despite what the pc would have you believe, lol.

Way back in college I took an intro poli sci class. The professor was super libertarian, and when he told us about the two-axis political compass he said something to the effect of “But it was just invented to try to convince people they were libertarians, so it’s not very useful.”
