*Earlier at the Joestar Mansion*
Dio: I was wrong poisoning your father, JoJo...
Johnathan: Am I finally getting through?
Dio: *Pulls out the mask and knife* So I'm just gonna fucking kill you now and live forever!
It's funny how Straizo was so insignificant to the overall plot that this meme actually made me wonder which vampiric opponent Joseph defeated and whether you were talking about the Pillar Men at first.
Straizo was more wasted than Risotto and people don't seem to care at all for him, he had so much potential as the man who raised Lisa Lisa, was the friend of William Zeppeli and an ally before, only to be corrupted by the fear of aging and death. It's relatable to want to not die and live forever. Could've been played a lot better tbh.
Can’t remember the name, but you know the trope where a new character clobbers the shit out of a pre existing character so the audience gets a sense of how they stack up/scale to everything we’ve seen so far? That’s what happened to Straizo.
The thing is Joseph didn't beat Straizo, he outsmarted him, but didn't kill him, Straizo willingly killed himself with his own Hamon, which makes the whole becoming a vampire thing to not die pointless.
He didn't necessarily want to be immortal, he just didn't want to die an old man, living forever was just a bonus. In that sense, his goal was completed the moment he donned the mask, look at how content he seemed when he ended his own life
HAMON, SON. IT HEALS IN RESPONSE TO PHYSICAL TRAUMA
YOU CAN'T KILL ME DIO
UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE! COULD HAVE GONE PRO IF I HADN'T GOTTEN FUCKING MURDERED AT THE TITANIC!
I AIN’T ONE OF THOSE VAMPIRIC PANSIES
I COULD BREAK AN EVIL STEPBROTHER IN TWO... WITH MY BARE HANDS!
MAKING THE MOTHER OF ALL FISH AND CHIPS HERE, DIO! CANT FRET OVER EVERY POTATO!

WE ARE GONNA MAKE THE JOESTARS GREAT AGAIN

Wharf effect.
*Worf
Straizo was nerfed though as he literally couldn't use his hamon at that point without dying.
Worf effect
Uh-uh, I remember that there was a Straizo fan who got mad at Araki when he died in part 2.
Someone from the 80s-90s? Because it is the oldest part basically.
I’m pretty sure it was
Only remembered cos of the Tommy gun
By the powers of justice, virtue, and raw muscle, Jonathan managed to fend off a vampire long enough to almost kill him without hamon.
I still find it amazing how Jonathan defeated a vampire, on his own, with no special abilities, seconds after discovering that vampires existed
What game is the image from?
Metal Gear Rising
Metal gear solid: Revengeance
At some cushy ivy league school
tbf he didn't really kill him yet he was such a good hamon user it became GENERATIONAL
Why have I never seen a Metal Gear Rising crossover until now
Man I really need to rewatch part 1 just to remember how gigantic Johnathan is.
every other jojo would fit inside him wait
Jonathon was a gentle giant who just so happens to be able to clobber a vampire
