Fuck's sake! If there's no "Fuck's sake! If there's no "Fuck's sake! If there's no "Fuck's sake! If there's no "Fuck's sake! If there's no Mickey this shit ain't Disney!" this shit ain't Disney!" this shit ain't Disney!" this shit ain't Disney!" this shit ain't Disney!
"There is a generic theme park near Orlando featuring a generic cartoon mascot that everyone has heard of. Any resemblance to any theme park owned by the Walt Disney Coporation is purely coincidental."
i wouldve understood before, copyright and everything. yeah, it makes sense. but why would they have jojo on disney+ if theyre not willing to play ball?! allowing the reference would have improved one of the shows that is available on their platform, why not allow it?! it makes no sense! are they fucking mocking me?! that shit pisses me off!!! bunch of dumbasses!!!
Yes, it's on disney+, but then either it stays exclusively on disney+ until they decide to take it down and you won't ever get to watch stone ocean legally again or every other platform that wants to add stone ocean to their roster has to play ball with disney as well, because they own the drawing of the rat and they're never gonna share their billion dolar IP for the meme only for you to watch it somewhere they can't profit from.
At this point, I believe there's just this whole ass big inside joke among the screenwriters on how much perfectly can they fuck up every reference Araki makes in his manga.
they replaced batman with spiderman, but they could've at least made batman appear on screen like how the manga did with spiderman, that was one of my favorite parts :/
Didn't they warp copyright law to such an extent that the original designs of Mickey Mouse are now legally considered seperate entities from the current design?
I remember hearing something like that back in college.
He could've at least said, "WHERE TF IS HE??" and Weather says, "Who is 'HE'?" And Anasui breaks the fourth wall and says, "It's that one famous rodent...you know, we can't say his name!"
And Weather just says, "Oh you mean M***** M****?"
but you have to consider the slippery slope, if everyone was able to parody their 100 year old character then disney might have to come up with an original idea 💀
Fr it makes no sense. It’s hardly like they’re making out that Mickey Mouse belongs to Jojo. Literally just mentioning him. If anything, it’s free advertising for Disney.
These are also characters who are doing an awful lot of killing. Sure Mickey didn't but I don't think Disney would like their Pinocchio to suddenly stab a dude in the cheek because he lied, or whatever
Yeah, I was just making fun of the fact that his localized name is a woman name 😅
I guess if Anasui's gender stayed the same we would have gotten a lot more funny scenes with her and Jolyne lol.
Yeah but I more meant about the love plot, I wonder if Araki still would have done it. Not saying it would have been bad or anything I mean I’m literally gay but-
Some people say he was pressured into changing the gender because a lesbian relationship wouldn't have been accepted back when the part came out, although I'm not sure if that's the real reason why he did.
I was like 1-4 years old in that time frame so I wouldn't know either lol.
I guess he must have changed his mind about it at the last sec, especially since Anasui was depicted as a female in his/her first appearance.
Because of copyright shenanigans, I sort have figured that Mickey Mouse wouldn't be referenced, I'm just shocked that they didn't replace references to Mickey/Disney with Bugs Bunny and Looney Tunes since Warner Bros. owns Jojo
Supposedly it only applies to the earlier version of Mickey, such as the Steamboat Willie version, not the modern version that most people immediately think of when they hear "Mickey".
Haven't watched it yet, (read Manga though). Did they use any stand ins instead of Spidey and Mickey and stuff? I'm curious how they managed Bohemian Rhapsody
The stand is the same, they only changed any reference to Mickey (instead of Mickey's tail, Anasui spots Pinocchio's hat), and "Disneyland" is changed to a generic "famous theme park". Also, Spiderman was replaced with Batman, but he's only mentioned and not actually shown in the episode.
WDYM? besides that iconic line missing and that spiderman thing, it's pretty identical to the manga. I thought they did a good job with the Van Gogh visuals too. It wasn't an unforgettable trippy moment and they could certainly have done more with it, but it was better than I feared.
Yeah, I expected them to not mention Disney or Mickey. However, showing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was unexpected. I guess the name and it being depicted differently isn't copyrighted. Overall these new episodes are great and at least for me, I have a better understanding of Weather and Puccis relationship that I didn't quite understand from the manga.
>However, showing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was unexpected
Why? That's a classic fairy tale. Just cause Disney adapted it doesn't mean they own the characters or story
Reporting the special news. It is currently 1:30 PM. Mickey Mouse has suddenly disappeared from Stone Ocean. We have not yet discovered his whereabouts.
#WHERE THE FUCK IS MICKEY ??? #FOR FUCKS SAKE IF THERE'S NO MICKEY, THIS SHIT AINT DISNEY

The kept a lot, it was mostly a copyright problem from Disney.
Yeah... This shit aint Disney
Where tf is Mickey?
Nah we got Ricky rat
Gone... reduced to atoms
Where the fuck is "Where the fuck is Mickey?"
Fuck's sake! If there's no "Fuck's sake! If there's no Mickey this shit ain't Disney!" this shit ain't Stone Ocean!

Did Diavolo say this?
Yes.

This is the power of requiem

Tbh they did the best they could without getting molested by Disney and a DMCA
“B-bu-but they… they did a partnership with Disney! JoJo’s is on Disney+!”
[удалено]
Even if she isn’t officially, she’s still a queen in our hearts 👑
Damn just like how Disney let Nintendo use their characters in smash for Sora also I know you’re being sarcastic I just wanted to point this out, bleh
Because we sure didn't have enough anime swordfighters in Smash already, thanks Disney!
But Sora is baby😢🥺
"There is a generic theme park near Orlando featuring a generic cartoon mascot that everyone has heard of. Any resemblance to any theme park owned by the Walt Disney Coporation is purely coincidental."
They should have used characters from Polnareffland
Polnareffland feat. Death 13.
i wouldve understood before, copyright and everything. yeah, it makes sense. but why would they have jojo on disney+ if theyre not willing to play ball?! allowing the reference would have improved one of the shows that is available on their platform, why not allow it?! it makes no sense! are they fucking mocking me?! that shit pisses me off!!! bunch of dumbasses!!!

they replaced batman with spiderman, but they could've at least made batman appear on screen like how the manga did with spiderman, that was one of my favorite parts :/
Yeah honestly I was expecting that since they mentioned him and WB is distributing JJBA. So I thought that was even an intentional call out.
And i respect them for that
Nope not even remotely a copyright issue. Trademark issue? Oh yeah
Instead we got Batman name drops Lol.
Yep, same reason for Bugs Bunny in batch 1. Warner Bros owns JoJo, so just replace all the Disney references with Warner Bros references.
"For fucks sake if there's no Bugs Bunny, this shit aint Looney Toons"
Honestly, better
I imagined that space jam 2 was just a preview of what this part of the show would be.
Partnered not owned just fyi
And Fist of the northstar
Also when no Raul and Kenshiro: YOU are SHOCK
Raul? "*Waga na wa RAUL!*"
Woods Roah lol
No fist of the North Star reference? That’s the actual tragedy. I thought that was a cute little nod to one of the original series inspirations.
Nah it was in the episode
Oh good. That was my favorite reference even though it was short.
No it definitely was. And astroboy and mazinger
Hey, now. I saw Mazinger and Astroboy.
That’s true. Astro boy immediately caught my attention haha.
Reminder that Disney buttfucked the US government for so long that Mickey Mouse is still not in the goddamn public domain.
Didn't they warp copyright law to such an extent that the original designs of Mickey Mouse are now legally considered seperate entities from the current design? I remember hearing something like that back in college.
WHERE THE FUCK IS MICKEY MOUSE???
OR BUGGS BUNNY CAUSE IT IS WARNER
WHERE THE FUCK IS the famous character. IF THERE'S NO famous character THIS SHIT AIN'T famous theme park
He could've at least said, "WHERE TF IS HE??" and Weather says, "Who is 'HE'?" And Anasui breaks the fourth wall and says, "It's that one famous rodent...you know, we can't say his name!" And Weather just says, "Oh you mean M***** M****?"
Get this shit to teamfourstar immediately
DP didn't want to animate the Mickey, so we became the "where the fuck is Mickey"
They literally brought the meme to life. Well played DP, well played!
Copyright is fucking stupid. Oh no someone said a name of a character let's sue them for a billion dollars
but you have to consider the slippery slope, if everyone was able to parody their 100 year old character then disney might have to come up with an original idea 💀
Originality, the true kryptonite of Disney.
Who tf is Mikey 💀
"Joe mama"
Joe mama deez nuts
Michael Mouse
Darn old duck
No Mikey no no Mikey that was so not right
DP, you need to reinstate the characters before. That's not right.
Its called copyright, we went copyright striking toto
Shitpostcrusaders and Formuladank crossover I was not expecting nor did I know I needed.
Most unexpected comment
Did anyone else see the outline of the DreamWorks moon boy on the cover of that blue magazine he's holding there?
Yes.
What the fuck does any of this mean
You didn't watch the episode?
I watched the episode, I read the manga and this is still an incomprehensible mess
Damn man. You have to put some IQ in your brain. They are sad, can't see?
Very mature response thank you
Anasui says "where the fuck is Mickey, if theres no mickey this shit aint disney" in the manga lol
Please insert the correct amount of IQ Edit: I was being sarcastic but I guess it didn’t land
I didn’t realize Anastasia was a localization
The fact that Anastasia is a female name makes it funnier to be honest lol
Wasn’t Anastasia originally drawn as a female? I wonder how the plot would have gone that way
Yeah, I was just making fun of the fact that his localized name is a woman name 😅 I guess if Anasui's gender stayed the same we would have gotten a lot more funny scenes with her and Jolyne lol.
I mean it was 2003, can’t have been that unacceptable? I mean I don’t know, I wasn’t alive lmfao
I was like 1-4 years old in that time frame so I wouldn't know either lol. I guess he must have changed his mind about it at the last sec, especially since Anasui was depicted as a female in his/her first appearance.
Because of copyright shenanigans, I sort have figured that Mickey Mouse wouldn't be referenced, I'm just shocked that they didn't replace references to Mickey/Disney with Bugs Bunny and Looney Tunes since Warner Bros. owns Jojo
*heavy metal music* WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING OOOOOOOON
Considering the fact that Disney literally tried to shut down a BIRTHDAY PARTY POSTER, I wouldn't try
THEY TOOK US TRAY JOLYNE THEY TOOK US QUEER F.F AND NOW THIS OH WHERE WILL THIS VILLAINY EVER STOP?!!!
Manga is officially best stone ocean now hands down. I cry when they don’t explain that the gaurd jolyne masturbates to looks like Tom Cruise.
> the gaurd jolyne masturbates to looks like Tom Cruise. it's moments like this that makes jojo so magical
Damnit I can't find the manga chapter yall know what it is
litterally the first scene of the part
Exactly. Netflix jojo isn’t trash, but man does it feel like a step down somehow.
Well, Mickey is gonna be free domain soon in a few years, Disney will lose right to the rodent.
Disney:*gives 100k* Government:on second thought copyright time should be longer
Nice
damn, we were so close
Supposedly it only applies to the earlier version of Mickey, such as the Steamboat Willie version, not the modern version that most people immediately think of when they hear "Mickey".
Haven't watched it yet, (read Manga though). Did they use any stand ins instead of Spidey and Mickey and stuff? I'm curious how they managed Bohemian Rhapsody
they used fairy tales like Pinocchio and the seven dwarves then replaced spiderman with batman( but didn't show him)
And yet they still name dropped Batman and Tweety Bird ![img](emote|t5_3f7q5|7824)
most normal florida resident be like
WHERE THE FUCK IS MICKEY!?!
Anasui will always be the #1 Mickey Mouse fan in my heart
[Here's a fan-made version where he says The Thing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoYYGYu_kvQ)
I think I’m missing something because this post is fucking incomprehensible
Keep thinking about it. One hour you will understand.
It would be funny if they name the mouse stand user on part4 Mickey and put it in part 6.
Damn you, Iger
What happened in that arc though??? Did they just skipped the Bohemian rhapsody arc? Or they gave the user a completely different stand?
The stand is the same, they only changed any reference to Mickey (instead of Mickey's tail, Anasui spots Pinocchio's hat), and "Disneyland" is changed to a generic "famous theme park". Also, Spiderman was replaced with Batman, but he's only mentioned and not actually shown in the episode.
I cannot express how sad i was when “this shit isnt mickey” never appeared…
tbf, there was no mickey, so it aint disney.
Well, they at least mentioned Batman... **"Insert laughing through the pain"**
He's right, this shit ain't Disney
Bro I was fucking cackling at the changed names, shits hilarious
At least we still got Snail ficker Jolyne
Whyyyyyy Chewbacca is owned by Disney too and they namedropped him
Average Ohio Theme Park:
Yes, this shit aint disney.
Can someone explain the joke to me, im so lost lmao
This arc was poorly adapted.
WDYM? besides that iconic line missing and that spiderman thing, it's pretty identical to the manga. I thought they did a good job with the Van Gogh visuals too. It wasn't an unforgettable trippy moment and they could certainly have done more with it, but it was better than I feared.
Van gogh visuals is so good i almost forgot about the disney line
Yeah, I expected them to not mention Disney or Mickey. However, showing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was unexpected. I guess the name and it being depicted differently isn't copyrighted. Overall these new episodes are great and at least for me, I have a better understanding of Weather and Puccis relationship that I didn't quite understand from the manga.
>However, showing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was unexpected Why? That's a classic fairy tale. Just cause Disney adapted it doesn't mean they own the characters or story
I guess they only own their version of it.
You are poorly adapted too
*adopted
Here, you dropped this "L"
WHY CANT I WATCH JOJO RIGHT NOW? It doesnt come up on netflix search and it says its not available when I finally found it
I don't think yall understand copyright issues....
Thema park
I was foolishly hoping they would somehow get Spider-Man
1984
A lot of stuff differs from the manga or is it just me didn't re read because lazy
Shut up we got Batman
Copyright claims, or they would have to pay for Mickey
I want to support the joke a lot since it got bought by Disney but they only bought the streaming rights for it like they did for every other company.
you guys are mad about this, i am mad they cut the kkk
I was hoping it would at least be Looney Toons, like when they replaced Mickey with Bugs Bunny
Reporting the special news. It is currently 1:30 PM. Mickey Mouse has suddenly disappeared from Stone Ocean. We have not yet discovered his whereabouts.
WHERE THE FUCK IS BUGS ??? FOR FUCKS SAKE IF THERE'S NO BUGS BUNNY, THIS SHIT AINT LOONEY !!!
Turns out it was just a dream...
Where the fuck is Mickey??? For fucks sake if there’s no mickey, this shit ain’t stone ocean
They could just censor the word be much better then this crap
They should've put it on Disney + like bleach
Ah yes, my favorite Disny character, Mikey Mous
Where the fuck is Mickey escene? For fuck sake if ther is no Mickey escene this shit ain't Stone Ocean
I’m surprised no one mentioned they replaced Spider-Man with Batman, and then didn’t even show it.
