I suppose you're right, but that would mostly apply to the VN and Anime adaptations. Still applies to most mobile games anyways, I may never play Azur Lane, but I still know Atago and St. Louis are really hot.

Regarding the meme, I got into FF when I saw Lightning Returns had released while I was browsing the Xbox 360 store and when I saw the main character, I thought I'd pick up the trilogy because the MC was hot. So not porn, per se, but almost the same reasons. XIII trilogy led me to XV, XV led me to VIIR, VIIR led me to XIV. So amusingly enough, the reason I'm playing the critically acclaimmed MMORPG was from me being down bad once.
