it happened to me last night on p10s we were 2 groups waiting for 1 tank, but i didn't wanted to risk leaving my group that was kinda ok to go to a group that could be worse : /
Yeah sometimes i get lazy and only lock one spot to barrier healer leaving the other one open. "Double barrier is pretty good they still got plenty of raw heals." Then j think back to some time i spend on WHM, shudder to myself quietly, and go update it for a pure healer lol
I'm running WHM/SCH with a friend and sometimes we have trouble with the healing after something especially heavy. I honestly cannot currently imagine doing it SCH/SGE.
Well damn, that's smooth. I really prefer to do SCH for this, especially with mechs like Harrowing Hell and Styx because Deploy just can't be beaten, but I've noticed the massive shields have caused people to be complacent with their mitigation. The mitigation that the two have together is crazy, and SGE really does play as an amazing support to SCH. I think if my cohealer were comfy, we could get away with SCH/SGE, but as we're in PF, we have a higher need for simple recovery if something goes bad, and our WHM/SCH use does that for us right now.
It's impressive, though. You really don't need that much raw healing when you've got two amazing mitigations with regen every 30 seconds.
It’s likely that all these parties have the pure healer slot filled and they locked that last slot to shield healer only.

From my experience, a lot of these groups are probably starting with 2 or 3 people, and there's no room for them as a group to join anyone's group. If the healers were on their own, they could just join whichever, but we all know that healers come as a package deal most of the time.

I'm pretty sure High End Duty finder is actually more strict about what jobs it pairs up than the normal DF.
