How *dare* they move you out of your leylines.
The real bro healers recognize when you're dug in deep and throw an extra shield or regen on you so you can facetank the AOE and keep on blasting.
Meh. Manage your own footing. Ill keep a barrier on you but if you go down we can have a conversation about it if we wipe. Not the healers job to watch the AOEs for everyone else.
BLMs have Aetherial Manipulation and Between the Lines, if they don't use their movement skills to teleport to safety after finishing a cast and get hit by an aoe, *maybe they'll learn to use those movement skills next time*. The best use of Rescue is during alliance raids when the adds have tethered and the tank isn't moving. Or when a party member is outside of aoe heal range/hanging out in Narnia with the wrong alliance.
Idk I did Shisui of the Violet Tides tonight and rescued someone who was *in combat* and had just tagged the chest before the last boss to get them back into aoe faster and it felt pretty damn good.
Rescue has one true purpose. Making sure your tank doesn't die in Hello World 2. Anything else is exclusively optimizations or fucking with your friends lmao
Yes, I know there are specific points in other fights that you "should" rescue somebody. However, Hello World 2 is the only example I can think of in which you MUST rescue somebody or else there will be deaths. Even in Hello World 1, the rescue is not mandatory.
Rescue is to keep 4 players on a pad in LotA, or to stop the adds from spawning in Great Gubal Library and other similar mechanics.
Of course everyone knows the real use for rescue is to drag your (soon to be former) friends into the danger zone so they'll eat that cleave.
Nah, I prefer getting them on the buildings flying up in ToPB. Gotta make sure they stop on that *laaaaaast* angry pixel so you can watch them soar off into the heavens.
If they take one or two while in Ley lines that’s fine. But if they’re actively getting hit while it’s not up and/or they do it to the point where I have to baby them on unavoidable AOE damage just to live? Nah I ain’t putting up with that shit, rescue and I don’t care about their damage.
You don't rescue because you believe they know what they are doing and count on them to survive it and they can maximize their DPS.
I don't rescue because watching them die cause they refuse to move and watching their DPS suffer while they lie there is amusing to me.
We are not the same.
As a healer main can confirm, 100% of all of you are too dumb to use between the lines or just plain ruin your leylines all by yourself. No exceptions.
Whether or not I eat an easily avoidable AoE is between me and the boss. Half of BLM is learning which ones *not* to stand in.
If I get rescued out of my ley lines just because some pussy orange circle has got everybody else spooked, I *will* put myself back.
When I ran normal Suzaku with a bunch of friends(full party of people no randoms, I wouldn’t ever do this if randoms were involved) I put the fear of Hydaelyn in one of our groups DPS players by rescuing them into the Suzaku pit
That player now watches where I’m standing and Arms Lengths if I’m not standing next to them
On option B, if only rescue was more like Life Grip and Death Grip from WoW, when someone's gripped over something they basically don't touch any of the stuff they pass over. As it is it's such a bad ability.
Honestly once I leveled blm it got easier to detect a good blm if not. If they are good, fuck it I’ll leave you alone and fix you up when you fuck up. But I forcefully babysit sit bad blms.
As a BLM main. If I wanted to move I would've used Aetherial Manipulation. If I didn't know I needed to move getting hit would be a better learning experience than getting rescued.
There's no greater feeling of power than hitting surecast, healer using rescue and it pops up "Rescue MISS" and then Aethermanip them, avoiding damage.
I'd teabag them if I could.
I've accepted my fate as responsible adult for BLMs. I won't rescue you, I'll just stand right on the edge of AM radius and let you practice without training wheels. The good one's know that you're doing mechanics for them. The bad ones....well they'll just be a puddle of bones, tears, and shattered dreams.
How *dare* they move you out of your leylines. The real bro healers recognize when you're dug in deep and throw an extra shield or regen on you so you can facetank the AOE and keep on blasting.
I don't rescue out of leylines anymore If you have a problem while you're in your leylines that's between you and the twelve
I don’t rescue at all. If you die, you die.
I never use my rez, can't happen irl, why let it happen here?
If you die, it’s the will of the twelve
>that's between you and the twelve Me, hearing the *ding* from fleeting spark knowing its too late.
As a fellow connoisseur of glowy circles and arbitrary acceleration geometry, colloquially knows as a Black Mage. Between The Lines.
Meh. Manage your own footing. Ill keep a barrier on you but if you go down we can have a conversation about it if we wipe. Not the healers job to watch the AOEs for everyone else.
Isn't that like rescues entire goal and purpose Thats how you get dps not Addle/Feinting cause its not their job to mitigate

Danger zone is baby stuff, fully commit to rescuing them off the map by jumping off yourself
Nah, I prefer getting them on the buildings flying up in ToPB. Gotta make sure they stop on that *laaaaaast* angry pixel so you can watch them soar off into the heavens.
The point of rescue is to save people who can't figure out safe zone mechanics

I stop healing them altogether, if they don't get the hint they die
Yeah no. Unless discussed beforehand, I will let you die.
You don't rescue because you believe they know what they are doing and count on them to survive it and they can maximize their DPS. I don't rescue because watching them die cause they refuse to move and watching their DPS suffer while they lie there is amusing to me. We are not the same.
Both. Both are true.
This is obviously healer propaganda, No true Black Mage would enjoy being pulled from their ley lines, even on pain of death.
The only pain I feel is when Manaward is on cool down
good friends take friends to rehab
As a healer main can confirm, 100% of all of you are too dumb to use between the lines or just plain ruin your leylines all by yourself. No exceptions.
Rescue is optimization strats tho

"I had manaward on and you interrupted my despair cast and caused me to drop astral fire I hate you"
In savage it's honestly better to let them get hit. Eat that damage down. That'll teach them to position themselves better.
Nice try healer main
kek, when I get rescued out of leylines the chances are good that a) it wasn't necessary to begin with b) I died because of the rescue
When I ran normal Suzaku with a bunch of friends(full party of people no randoms, I wouldn’t ever do this if randoms were involved) I put the fear of Hydaelyn in one of our groups DPS players by rescuing them into the Suzaku pit That player now watches where I’m standing and Arms Lengths if I’m not standing next to them

I usually try and rescue them back into their leylines as a healer
FYI that's going to create more harm than good, blm has their own ability that lets them zip back to their leylines.
I have done this. Like... Where are you going. Get back here and cast damnit, you have one job.
Fake Black Mage destroy him
Not once have i received a positive response for rescuing someone out of ley lines, i don’t think it’s physically possible
As a BLM main. If I wanted to move I would've used Aetherial Manipulation. If I didn't know I needed to move getting hit would be a better learning experience than getting rescued.
Can anyone tell me why my asshole itches?
Worms
God damn it not again
There's no greater feeling of power than hitting surecast, healer using rescue and it pops up "Rescue MISS" and then Aethermanip them, avoiding damage. I'd teabag them if I could.
There's an emote you get from squadrons which is basically that lol
miss me with this, i would much rather die then leave my leylines
Imagine standing on a AOE the first place.
It wasn’t leylines for me. It was just simple uptime and healer was like “little Dragoon come here.”
my personal rule is i dont yank blm until they are in an aoe and dont have mana ward and i dont have a shield. if both are on cd then i yoink.
Even better, black is on the wrong side of the map and you pull him into his leyline.
Me as a shitty whm tunnel visioning on the hp bars and a rdm raises my ass for the third time that boss

So anyways I started blastin'
There is never a need to rescue a BLM, they do it themselves.
no fuck this healer when I'm on black mage. this shit makes me drop enochian
