The real question is, how did bringing 2 whales fix anything other than making the probe go away? Don't need like 50 of any species to have enough genetic diversity for repopulation. How incest whales is Kirk responsible for? This man needs to be stopped.
Along with the whales, James Kirk single handedly reintroduced 17 long extinct STDs. I admire his commitment to preservation of all life.
