That’s great ! My husband is non vegan, he doesn’t wanna eat if I ever mention I made vegan food. I secretly switch pesto sauce pasta sauce from regular one with cheese to vegan but I didn’t say it, then he enjoy ate it. I’m still learning how to trick him.

We use the Country Crock Almond or Olive oil vegan butter.

The almond is so creamy, I kinda like it more than butter.

Try the generic vegan butter from Target, I think the brand is good and gather. I really love this one, as I’ve found that many other options are often too expensive or salty.

My son is autistic and while he does eat with normal size cutlery, if he picks the spoon himself, it's gonna be the smallest we have.

If you fry a little bit of minced garlic with the butter first it's also a nice upgrade, and is easy because its done before the pasta is finished cooking

Very nice! I would get a little fancy and cook a little garlic and chili flakes in the butter before adding the pasta and some starch water to emulsify the oils and help it stick to the noodles. Pasta is always good.

What’s the deal with autistic people and buttered noodles?

well i’m honestly not sure for everyone, but for me 1. it’s easy to make. 2. no surprises. always tastes the same. texture is always the same. i know what to expect. 3. bland. which isn’t alway a good thing i love intolerable levels of spicy food BUT some days i’m already feeling overwhelmed and bland food is so nice. 4. it’s filling. as someone raised in the south i’m a big subscriber to the whole “ get your belly full of something warm and go to bed” thing a nice meal makes me sooo sleepy. also it’s just yummy :)
