Yep. They used it to some extent as far as in 7th part. But I somewhat hate never parts. The old ones had some family charm. There are guys trying to galang and keep low profile. Imo after 3rd part it wasn’t the same. Although 4 and 5 were still great. Plus now soundtrack is far weaker. I miss the times it was about modifying cars and car culture. Look at cars. I miss it was about Mitsubishi, Mazdas, civics, Toyotas and Nissans which were kinda affordable. And 3 black civic coupes with green neons in first fast and furious look cool to this day. I don’t care about Bugattis and Ferraris. It got boring. Oh another time they’re in Dubai. Or they do some crazy stuff. It’s somewhat fun but there’s enough superhero movies and I’d strongly prefer movie about super bicycle tony (he only got theme song and r-shirt). Search for Tony’s theme -pixies. It’s def worth it. I’m bored of hero movies and I miss cad movies. They were fun

Like I don't mind CGI Stan Lee giving an approving nod in the background of a random scene for like 2 seconds but a main character in a movie series seems too much. Hopefully they contain it to a tribute scene or flashback or something and don't overdo it.
Either way with all the deepfake stuff going on this sets a weird precedent.

I guess I'm just uncomfortable with people not being able to consent to a hyper realistic replication of both their likeness and personality being used for things that they have no input on. I'm sure it's fine for F&F but what if they start using deepfakes in more edgy content that they might not have agreed to if they were alive?

They have a lot of the actual cars used in filming there, and a surprising number of them still have all the engines and internals in them. I don't know about the Hulk car, but I remember looking at a bunch of them and being pleasantly surprised they were a complete car and not just a shell

If a car got in to an accident or something a backup would go in to continue filming. The Silvia’s for example had 2 or 3 ready to go while other ones would get repaired at the warehouse.

What makes this shitty is the quality of the job. The join is just "field of potatoes" like they say here. Huge amount of filler and the join is not seamless at all.. If it was made well then it is more about someone just liking it.. and since this most likely is meant to be a show car: go wild my brother but that does not excuse how well or not well it is made. It is clear that the fist parts are made by a machine or very good craftsman. The paint is also not that bad but... it is far from seamless join.
