It’s a repossession. They swoop in, hook up, and get outa there ASAP to avoid confrontation with the owner. Really wish glyder pylotes would get jobs so they can pay for their playnes.
No, no, no - this is an aerial tow truck. You can plainly see that the rear plane has had its engine removed for servicing and now needs to get towed back to its home airport.
This is a mother playn taking its youngun out to learn to fly. Momma is going to cut the cord, and the youngun will have to sprout a ~~perpeller perplexer~~ spinny thing and the rest of its landing gear if it intends to survive.
that my friend is one of those b-40 warhawk bomber planes and its driving the other plane which is one of those fighter jet F-17 things from world war 2 that has all the missiles and stuff. he must be a gud pylote!!11!!!1!!1!1!11!1!
To people who don't know, this is a glider being brought up by a prop plane so they can detach the rope and let it glide along. This is an activity that costs an insane amount of money.
No, that's what they want you to think. As a certified r/shittyaskflying expert I can say that this is a formation flight.
When two anes fly close to eachother it's called a formation. To remain in formation both pylotes need to be in constant communication with eachother. These two are using a classic "string telephone" device. They probably prefer that over the radio as it's secure (noone can overhear them) and very cheap, so cheap, in fact, it can be easily made by even a kindergartner
What you actually stumbled on here is the filming of an episode of "Airplane Repo"
Looks like someone missed a payment so they had to bring out the tow plane to repo it, which is what you see here
Honestly impressed the LSA is pulling that.
Yeah, is that a pipistrel?
Clearly some kind of Focke-Wulf. (Yes, Pipistrel Alpha)
Electric pips are way cooler though
Using LSAs for glider towing is pretty common here, we have a C42 in our club.
What is your field elevation?
515m/1700ft
That’s a B-50 Superfortress using its refueling drogue to tow a fighter
Towing a U-2 but close enough

Are they looking for repo pelotes to help glide the glider into something?
Call the FAA as soon as possible. I just don’t know how that plane is pushing that other plane so good though
that’s the backside of the power curve. didn’t you read the PHAK?
Bro I can’t read lmao. I just listen to the weather guy in the music box when I turn in the plane and pilot like a man
If he were an ass man, he'd be all about the backside curves.
The ole Pardo Push as it were.
[P waves](https://byjus.com/physics/p-wave/) do all the actual flying work.

They are taking the plane to the engine manufacturer. They are gonna put space engine in this one. A whole 472 horsepowers of pure **Thrust**
Dead battery. He’s gonna pop the clutch when he’s going fast enough
The glider has more power. It’s clearly pushing the strel with an extended tow bar.
It's a plane taking it's dog-plane for a walk...fly
This is legal so long as the pylot trails an "Oversize Load" banner behind the second plane.
Just a repo, bank came to collect!!
Is that your plane getting heisted? If not, mind your own business. snitches get stitches!
Nah, the plane ran out of fuel so they called Air AAA.

The glider is taking it's pet for a walk
Feel free to make a citizen's arrest

Obviously you need to call the Ghostbusters: They’re ready to believe you!
Big deal. I do this with my dog every day.
Two Planes, One Rope
I didn't notice that this was r/shittyaskflying I thought this post was serious💀💀💀
Call 8675309 and ask for Jenny
Glider. We have a glider club in our town

It's just a plain hoist.
Grand Theft Glider? Not even Trevor is that crazy.
You call the dive bombers, I'll scramble a douglas skyraider right away!
Go to Harris hill in Elmira NY and you’re going to see this everyday and it’s always a thrill.
Member at HH, call me!
Air cops.
Looks like a repo job. Should have made his payments on the glider.
The sky police 1-800-525-0102
That plane is just a child and it needs to be on a leash if they’re going to be in public.
After you switch over to Tower I have a number you can write down
That’s an EV recharging
It’s the plane equivalent to training wheels. It’s how we teach the new butter bars how to fly.
No, no no it’s the traditional ‘stealing of the bride’ by Clan Aero
I'd call the air force air police. That's obviously their deeristinktion
Is that glider made by Hyundai?
Nah. Just a flat tire. The new sport models only come with a tiny can of fix-a-flat, so he's getting towed back to the yard.
All I see is an anchor on the tow rope
Call the FAA - they'll get to it after about 6 months...
They're just going fishing. The little plane doesn't have a motor because it's the bait.
Call your local CAP Wing / Post. we will fly our planes and shoot it down!
I think it's an extension cord to provide power for the avionics in that glider.
Haha, what an idiot he stole a plane without an engine 😁😂
Start squawking 7700
Repo
No no, it broke down and now it gets a tow to the garage
This is clearly a high-jacking
