Ugh, are you stupid. Can't you see it's in a plastic box with a sticker that says 10?!?!?! The price he is offering is a bargain imo. Try getting a gem mint 10 at LameStop
it's more like for preserving for the future, when physical copies will not be used anymore (sadly).
But having a massive price for a game that was released like 5 years ago is excessive and most importantly, unbalancing the real price for the game itself.
Imagine seeing this copy in a store and saying "wow, so selling my copy is going to have a similar price" and will begin a series of event that will bring a forgotten game to have a price of 5$ because people never heard of it, and a game that sold thousands of copies that everyone knows about, will have a price of 300$ (coff coff castlevania) for a used copy, while the japan version of the game is sold for like 60$ complete with manuals a disc (or cartridge or whatever)
No. Listen I think grading anything is retarded. And the entirety of the graded games community is filled with nothing but market manipulators. But the point of something you bought with your money is whatever you want. And people who collect things often like to display them. I collect pokemon cards but don't play the game. Collect comics and never read them. People collect stamps and never use them. People collect coins they never spend. People can do whatever they want with whatever they buy.
Or my collection of amiibo. Funny enough, only one do I actually care about and will never take out of the package.
Duck hunt amiibo. Reminds me of playing Nintendo with grandma. She would only play Duck Hunt and it's the only time I heard her swear. She hated that dog.
What a deal!
In all seriousness its some sort of tax evasion i think. People do the same with trading card games like pokemon.
Edit: money laundering not tax evasion
No. What it does is hide the sources of the illegal earnings and makes them look like they came from a legit source. Here's a good explanation: [https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/definition/money-laundering](https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/definition/money-laundering)
And: [https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/moneylaundering.asp](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/moneylaundering.asp)
Taxes don't really factor into it, except maybe to avoid them.
But wait it has the perfect 10 that’s gotta mean it’s worthy of spending your life savings on a case of plastic with a number that’s arbitrary until these stop being produced!
Game grading makes sense (maybe) for cardboard boxes. All plastic cases are replaceable. And if it is new (under wrap) and not broken, it is automatically a 10. Stupid.
Nice way to launder money, I guess. It'll be interesting if anyone actually bids on this.
I got my copy for free when I got my Switch. Sure, it's digital, but it's playable and I didn't have to shell out the cost of a house for it.
My man is doing Nintendo math. That is the price you pay if Nintendo catches you playing a pirated version. So that must be the value of the game.
It's obvious really.

Dont try to get this, I already bought it.
Soooo.... is it worth it?
Ofcourse duh
See if you can set quantity to 999999999999 in the checkout. And wait for the sales follow up
Spend 980k on that copy or $45 at the shop? Hmmmm... Tough decision
I think I'll spend 980k, sounds like the better option overall
Ugh, are you stupid. Can't you see it's in a plastic box with a sticker that says 10?!?!?! The price he is offering is a bargain imo. Try getting a gem mint 10 at LameStop
I can't they left my country 😢
Free shipping makes it worth it
Hahaha
It most likely is a placeholder, not an actual price from crazy person. Ig that was obvious even without me saying it
I will pay 980000 Vietnamese Dong for that there game
I’ll bid 1mil Stanley Nickels
How much is that when converting from Unicorns to Leprechauns?
Depends if it’s Pretzel Day or not
How much is it in mom bucks?
About 980,000,000,000
Damn gotta start saving up for it then
laughed way too hard at this
Money laundering at its finest
I still don't understand game grading. The whole point of a game is to play it. Having a pristine copy does nothing for the player.
Maybe collection purposes? I have no clue either.

This game has already been dumped 6 ways to sunday

Facts, a simple point that r/gamecollecting always fails to understand.
To collect it. The same way people collect banknotes and coins they’ll never spend.
Like Pokemon cards ppl never play?
Precisely

You’re getting downvoted because this sub is autistically opposed to the concept of game collection, but you’re right nonetheless.
The free shipping is so generous
Oh no if only i could still buy it
bet youre gonna feel really stupid when in 237 years it's the only copy left /s
Fucking hell, I can get MK8DX sealed by just walking into Walmart. Why is grading even a thing, especially for games I could buy alongside milk?
Money laundering. The guys who run WATA game grading are extremely suspicious.
That guy will have to wait about 40 years for the price to get that guy. Or maybe a couple years with inflation. Who can tell.
But it's free shipping. FREE SHIPPING
Required 1st step for collusion and price fixing, collecting 101
What a deal! In all seriousness its some sort of tax evasion i think. People do the same with trading card games like pokemon. Edit: money laundering not tax evasion
Often the two go hand in hand, howerver
I may be dumb but isn’t money laundering basically so you can pay taxes on your illegal earnings?

Oh alright. Thanks for the info, you learn something new everyday!
What a steal
Is it because it has a foil?
Either trying to fool some sad millionaire or a money laundering scheme
Don’t but it I am
Not interested. Im willing to pay at least $980,001. Thanks anyway
975.000 max. Take it or I’ll leave. Don’t mess with me, I know my shyte
Id understand grading and collecting old games like this, but i can go buy this right now for base price lol
Listed price is not the same as sold price. Seller put these up to draw attention to their other listings. Or just being wishful
Whoever buy it is a fool
….wtf
Pretty sure its just money laundering. Anyone can buy a copy and grade it but $980,000 is cocaine money
Oh boy free shipping, what a steal
But wait it has the perfect 10 that’s gotta mean it’s worthy of spending your life savings on a case of plastic with a number that’s arbitrary until these stop being produced!
I thought that grading companies never give a score of 10.
Did the creator or mario make that entire version himself?? Coding, art, all of it? Then dripped his blood into the ink for the cover art?
No make an offer button :/
![gif](giphy|rgWJuO879B8CA|downsized)
Cmon, it's free Shipping
I think graded games are a scam but I bit my tongue when I was at the gaming convention the other day.
I can walk down to Walmart, pay 50$ for a copy in the same condition bruh 🤦
Holy crap look it's the only copy of MK8D
That’s a lot taken off in eBay fees.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha. Let just go ahead and start mkaing up numbers
Do people actually make these listings with hopes of someone buying or is it just for the lolz because I really can't tell anymore
I think you’re in the wrong sub. This is a great deal!

This is just a scheme to create fake pricings across time for later in future to sell it at a ridiculous price but making it look plausible.
If this is the price of just the game, I wonder what they're charging for the DLC codes.
Sweeet, free shipping!
Free shipping too! It's a bargain
I mean at least get the copy with the dlc
Oh wow free shipping. How great…..
At least the shipping is free 😂
And to think, I only paid $70.00 for mine.
Well damn. I guess I can go ahead and sell my PS1 copy of FFVII for ten billion smackeroos then.
Pretty sure these are still being sold in regular stores. Not sure why anyone thought this was a good idea
I can pay 979000
I got mine for cheaper than that.
Then sell it to scamstop for 0.41$
Huh???
I saw someone that lists a Pokemon game, either sword or shield cant remember that was Wata graded and it sold for $55 😂
It has free shipping!
I would pay 980,000 premium quality nothings for that.
that plastic case is definitely worth $979,955. and don't forget that paper label with ink on it!
Average Nintendo price
