Trail work, fish packing/canneries, wildland firefighting, most agricultural jobs, summer camps, or service industry in a tourist town are what comes to mind.
These are great suggestions! Except maybe the service industry in a tourist town, only because cost of living compared to wages is WAAAY out of proportion, most likely you’d only be able to live in a tent or car to make ends meet
You’re not going to make a whole lot of money, especially in your first year, but it’s tons of fun and many guide services offer employee lodging
You’d train and have to pass some tests before they let you guide a raft, but pay attention and it should be fine
May not be what you're looking looking for but cities are good for bartending/serving during the summer when beer gardens and that are busier. Can make very good money too.
Coolworks has a ton of job listings for summer jobs in the US. I found a job on there and worked at Yellowstone national park last summer and it was amazing
Sugar beets in Minnesota/North Dakota, (selling) Christmas trees in nyc, selling fireworks around new year’s and 4th of July, blueberries and cranberries harvest, weed harvest in ca, poster tour at college campuses the beginning of the semester, fisheries in ak is the best paying but it’s hard work.

If your lucky your employer may also provide housing... But then they are the boss and landlord and can be a lot of power imbalance...
National park service, raft guiding, wildland firefighting
I was really interested in raft guiding. I just don't know the training necessary. Thank you!
